The club fair was a time of year that Sloane greatly looked forward to. It was a time that allowed the students to look around at what they were doing and see all of the really great opportunities they had to do something in the school. Working on the magazine, helping out in Heta Omega, it was all part of something, a community, the kind of spirit that Sloane loved to work with in the school.

Making her way into the Great Hall, Sloane waved her wand and sent the four huge tables towards the walls where they stood straight up, towering there. Next, she conjured smaller tables and plenty of chairs, a place for flyers. Then, she summoned the snacks that the house elves had delivered earlier. Cake, pies, cookies, and drinks galore. She wanted to make sure that everything was ready when the students arrived. This would make everything easier for them once they got here. They wouldn't have to worry about set up at least.

James still couldn't believe he was the new Brotherhood president, on top of everything else. He had thought for sure Felix would be president, given he was older and noe Head boy but James was happy to take on the job, he was even more thrilled when he learned that Maddie would be co-president of Heta Omega. They would have to work together on events sometime, that could be fun. It was already proving to be so when James set up his stall at the club fair next to Maddie and Isabelle's Heta Omega stall. Lyra wasn't around so James would shamelessly steal glances at his fellow Gryffindor through the day.

Once students started to arrive James straightened out the sign up sheet and cleared his throat. "JOIN THE BROTHERHOOD. COME BE A BRO, DON'T BE LAME JOIN TODAY!"

Oswald needed friends, and the club fair seemed like a decent place to start. He hadn't even realised Hogwarts had clubs until he'd seen the fair notice on the Gryffindor bulletin board - though by their ambiguous names he still wasn't really sure what any of them were about. The Wild Patch, for instance, could have been about literally anything, from a Herbology study group to debating sessions about some of the totally ridiculous school rules (in Oswald's opinion). After pondering it for a little while, he'd decided that the only way to find out would be to attend the fair and ask.

But no sooner than Oswald had set foot inside the great hall than a nearby shout had caught his immediate and undivided attention. Whatever he was, or wanted to be, it most certainly was not lame, and so quickly he made his way over to his prefect. "What's a bro?" he asked, eyeing the sheet in James' hand.

James was thrilled to have his first prospect, a first year no less. It was always exciting to see first years wanting to join. "Dude, a bro is short for brother which is what we will be if you join us, we'll be your friends and your family, we'll always have your back kid, how does that sound," He asked grinning broadly at him.

"Ohh," said Oswald. Bro had not been a word in his vocabulary, but James made it sound pretty cool. Having some older students looking out for him wouldn't be such a bad thing, either. "Yeah, awesome. Where do I sign up?" He scribbled his name down on the sheet and then headed off to look around at the other clubs.

Maddie still couldn't believe that she was now the co president of Heta Omega, along with a fellow fifth year; the Ravenclaw Isabelle Marie. The two had arranged to meet at the club fair to try and recruit some new members. The sisterhood had helped Maddie meet so many new people that she would have otherwise not have talked to and helped her to make a lot of new friends and all she wanted was to be able to pass on that opportunity to other members.

She walked into the Great Hall and looked around for the Heta stand. This year, the Brotherhood and Heta Omega stands had been placed side by side which meant that Maddie and James would be in close proximity with each other for the longest time since James revealed that he had moved on with Lyra. She didn't know how she would feel seeing James again after their argument the other day, it was foolish to think that she would be able to stay mad at him though, especially because every time she saw him she had butterflies in her stomach.

She arranged the flyers on the desk and put up bunting around the stall so they stood out more in the Great Hall. Maddie wanted a big intake of new members this year and she was going to try her hardest to get them.

Izzy walked in the Great Hall, the fact that she had been appointed as co president of Heta Omega was still settling in. She felt great, what she hasn't felt in a very long time and she sincerely hoped that this year there wouldn't be too much drama. She preferred to have a nice time, when she wasn't studying, and so she hoped that her and Madeline, her co-president would be able to make the sisterhood a stress free club. Other than making new friends and helping younger ones of course. Izzy walked up to the stall, where Maddie was standing and she didn't miss the fact that the brotherhood stall was right next to theirs. She winced as she heard her classmate shout out. Seriously, there was no need for that, if people wanted to join his stupid club they would. She smiled as she reached Madeline. "Hey, can't wait to see how many people will join this year!" The Ravenclaw looked around the room to see whether there could be potential members. They'd try their best to take in as many members, so the two girls had to make sure they used all of their time effectively.</COLOR></SIZE></FONT>

Vilhelmine, who hadn't yet so much as glanced at her bulletin board, stumbled across the club fair more by chance than intention. For a while she hung back at the door, watching the older students set up their stalls and scatter around flyers. Then she drifted into the hall, one of the first to arrive, and made her way curiously past each station. Reaching one called Heta Omega, she stopped and looked at its presidents. "What's 'Heta Omega'?" she asked, likely mispronouncing the name.

James was beaming as the first year boy scribbled his name on the sign up sheet and walked off. He was already off to a good start. "RIGHT WHO'S NEXT? FIRST YEARS ASSEMBLE THE BROTHERHOOD IS WAITING FOR YOU," James laughed as his voice echoed. He was rather enjoying himself.

<COLOR color="black"><FONT font="Verdana">Izzy's face brightened as a student approached their stall. She glanced at Maddie, before opening her mouth to reply, except that she was rudely interrupted by that shouting again. Rolling her eyes, she turned to the guy and said, "
If people want to join, they'll come, I mean it's rude to think that people are deaf," she scoffed before turning back to the young girl without waiting for a response. He probably scared her now, which was great. "Sorry about that," she dismissed the matter with a wave of her hand, her friendly smile back on her face. "Boys will always be boys. To answer your question, Heta Omega is the club of sisterhood where us young women support each other with anything. It's a place where many girls make friends for life." Izzy spoke with as much optimism as she could muster. "Would you like to join?"

Vilhelmine turned her head calmly toward the shouting, and then rolled her eyes. She'd lived with boys long enough not to be perturbed by their obnoxiousness. Looking back at the Ravenclaw, she smiled. The sisterhood sounded nice, but Vilhelmine wasn't convinced it was for her; she didn't really want to make a lot of friends. "Do I have to take part in... events?" she asked. If the club involved public speaking of any kind, Vilhelmine was out.

Maddie smiled as she noticed a younger girl walk up to their stall "hey!" she said to the girl just as James began shouting again. She rolled her eyes disapprovingly but couldn't help but giggle a little bit at her fellow Gryffindor. She directed her attention back at the potential new member and nodded along in agreement to Izzy's explanation of the society and smiled reassuringly at the girl "we do have events but it's completely up to each individual on how much they want to get involved. You'll never be forced into anything. The sisterhood is a place where you can feel accepted and be comfortable!" she explained.

As the Gryffindor president giggled at the shouty boy, so did Vilhelmine. Boys were silly. She listened to what Madeline had to say, feeling herself be persuaded into joining. So long as she didn't have to take part in too many group meetings, or share her opinions, she didn't see what harm could come from joining. The Hufflepuff nodded slightly. "OK," she said, glancing between the two girls. "Am I in?"

<SIZE size="50">Getting involved in clubs seemed like a perfectly good idea to Nortie, he wasn't sure what would be on offer to him, but he was curious, anything he could do that would be fun was something he intended to do. The boy stepped into the room, and noted as of yet, there were only two clubs present, which disappointed him slightly, he needed things to do, the magic was endlessly interesting but he needed more to do. He had hoped there would be a little more for him to do, he didn't have Gilly by his side every moment and he needed to have things to do. There was so much to discover in magic that he deeply desire to try everything that he could, including the interesting sport of quidditch. The boy strided into the room, and looked excited between the two, he could garner from the boys on one side and the girls on the other that it was probably some club with gender divides, he therefore chose to go to the boys side and read a notice saying Brotherhood. He loved Gilly but boy would he have also loved a brother as well as her, maybe this was his opportunity. He looked between the two boys who were at it, "Hello!" he greeted with an excited tone, "Can I join? How do I join?" the boy asked rapidly, looking eagerly between them.

Lennon had received an owl that the Club Fair was being hosted today so he knew he had to go out there and represent the Hogwarts Monthly because he had been appointed the new editor. Even after having been banned from writing any articles for an entire semester for a completely ridiculous accusation of bullying, he was still happy that Carlotta had defended him and had faith that he could still be a credible journalist to give him the position.

He walked up to the table designated for their club and lay out some old issues for interested members to peer through them and hopefully get interested in helping out. A lot of the staff had graduated so he knew they were in need of new members to fill open positions so he hoped some would join. The Ravenclaw pulled out his wand and made sure a banner stating "Hogwarts Monthly" was displayed. Lennon didn't know which other members of the paper would be here to help represent the organization aside from himself but he didn't mind doing the work., He took out a spare piece of parchment and placed it on the table for sign ups.

Sophie had known Hogwarts would have clubs, Amber had rattled on about the sorority she was a part of and how it felt like she had a bunch of sisters. Sophie had wanted to wave and say "hellooo, I'm right here?" But she hadn't. Amber often didn't seem to count Sophie as a proper sister, just because she wasn't the way Amber wanted to be. Well, no sorority with stupid sounding names for Sophie. But maybe there was something else.

The club fair was a bit disappointing, at first she could only see the sorority booth and next to it a booth for what she assumed was the same club for boys. What was the appeal? What did you even do? She walked straight past both, grimacing as the boy in the booth shouted again.

But then she saw the words 'Hogwarts Monthly' and stopped. Like a paper? That sounded like it could potentially be interesting. Sophie tended to stick to writing stories, but a newspaper would be fun too. Maybe. She walked up to the table and looked at one fo the old issues before looking at the parchment to sign up. It asked for a position, but Sophie had no clue what positions there were. She finally made eye contact with the boy behind the table. "What positions are there?" She asked with a frown. "And do tell me if you'll reject me just because I'm a first year, so I don't waste my time."

Noemie was a member of a couple of clubs, she wasn't part of much but she was part of a few things and largely Noemie despite her desires to focus more upon classes really also wanted to focus on other school activities. Mostly she jsut wanted to fill all of her hours with things that were interesting to her, so that was things like quidditch, reading magazines with a few friends, or joining a new club. Noemie had had her eye on something for a while now, she wanted to be a part of the monthly, she had seen how they were, read some of the work and had been genuinely interested in seeing if she could manage it. The Ravenclaw spotted it within the great hall's club fair and she felt suddenly a little nervous. She had felt confident up until then, but now she was doubting herself a little, what if she just wasn't cut out for it. Noemie wanted to still try, she wanted to give it her best shot so she walked over to the boy whom she knew was a ravenclaw and the younger girl who was also at the stall. Noemie greeted them both with a silent smile, "I'd like to apply to join?" the girl asked, addressing the boy with a small nervous expression, brushing the hair nervously from her face.

Jessica had heard that there was a club fair being held in the Great Hall, so she knew that she should definitely go and see what sort of clubs were available to be a part of. Joining one would be a relatively easy way to make friends, but it would only be worth her time if there was actually something good to sign up for. She didn't want to be surrounded by condescending smart people, or loud and aggressive sports-types after all, or have anything to do with magic. Upon entering the Great Hall, Jessica took a quick sweep of the assembled tables and was surprised to see that there weren't actually that many clubs to choose from. Was this really all they had? Despite being unable to stop herself from scoffing, the lack of options wouldn't be a problem - she had already spotted the sign for what could only be a sorority. She'd never been part of a sorority before, this would be perfect! Making her way over to the stand, Jessica shot a quick smile at the odd-looking person also standing there before turning her attention to the older girls behind the table. "Hello! Please, could I join Heta Omega? It looks so wonderful!"

Eleanor was extremely excited for her fourth year. It was her first year as leader of the Wild Patch Club since Orwell had left. She was disappointed that he was gone, as she didn't know if it would ever be the same without him, but was eager to take the role on and keep it going. Eleanor set up the stall near the near the entrance of the great hall in hopes that everyone would see it first. She was wearing one of her flower crowns and pamphlets were placed on the table describing the events they had each year. Small rainbow flags were also scattered around, adding some colour. It wasn't ever as good as Orwell's were, but she knew they would get better. "IF YOU LOVE HERBOLOGY, COME AND JOIN THE WILD PATCH CLUB!" she yelled in her best attempt to be louder than everyone else.

Lennon knew all the other clubs generally got more attention than the school paper, so he wasn't expecting to be busy, but as soon as he had finished setting up, someone had approached him. He chuckled and smiled at the first year, trying to seem confident with his new position. "Nope, I was an intern in my first year so there's no age restriction," he assured her. Before he could answer her first question, another girl approached with interest and Lennon's smile grew wider. "Certainly," he said passing them the slip for them to sign. "Currently we have a few positions open like Aunt Meg who gives advice to students who write in. Our horoscopes section is open again, and we always need interns to help cover sections like our entertainment or interview pieces, or fill in for writers who can't meet a deadline," he explained to them both, hoping they would still be interested.

After helping her aunt restock her ingredients cupboard for Potions, she mentioned that there will be a club fair for everyone to join in and she encourage her to join. Although, Venice told her aunt Sydney that she wasn't interested, she still insisted, telling her that Venice needs to move on from her parents early demise and live life as a happy student. The Hufflepuff took that advice and went up to the Great Hall. There were a lot of booths and she couldn't decide which one should she approached but once she heard something about Herbology, Venice went that way and noticed an older girl wearing a flower crown with pamphlets in her hands. "Hi, I'm interested in joining the ... wild patch club?" She informed the girl while reading the paper with the clubs name on it upside down. "But what exactly do you offer for members? Are there hands on cultivation of plants or trip somewhere?" Venice likes a club that is both fun and educational and not just some face to get into the Year book. She loves Potions and Herbology is the sister of Potions. The two blend together.

Eleanor beamed when she noticed that her yelling had grabbed the attention of a new face. The younger girl began walking over to her and Ellie sat up in her seat, ready to take on any question the girl had. She was a Hufflepuff, just like her and Eleanor assumed she was a first year. "Hello, would you like a flower crown?" Eleanor asked, holding one out for her to take if she wanted to. "Yes, we do cultivating! We grow herbs and vegetables for the house elves in the kitchens, and we also take care of the flowers. For members we hold pride events where you can make your own stall and support the LGBT+ community. In the past there have also been lantern shows." she explained, hoping the girl was liking what she was saying. With Orwell and his friends gone, they really needed more members.

It had been recommended by many people that Lilyanna join a club. She never really liked the idea of socialising with a group of people and having her face shown multiple times in the yearbook, but had decided that from now on that she would do as told if she wanted people to stop worrying about her. The Slytherin entered the Great Hall later than everyone else simply because it took her a long time to decide whether she should go check out the clubs first before deciding which one she liked the best. She noticed her sister sitting at the Wild Patch Club stall and decided to stay away from that one, simply because she wouldn't like it if her sister bossed her around. After all, Lilyanna didn't even like plants. Instead, she wandered over to the Hogwarts Monthly stall where Lennon was and flicked through some of the old issues provided. After a moment, she said, "I want to join this." in hopes that she would be able to.

Tuesday had been looking forward to the club fair ever since she saw a notice about it in her common room's bulletin board. She was the type of person to always want to get involved in anything so she could feel productive. She was impatient throughout all of her classes, afraid that the fair would be over as soon as she was finished with her lessons, but thankfully when she arrived in the Great Hall the fair was still well underway. The Gryffindor took her time looking at each booth, completely skipping over the Brotherhood one and finally stopped at the one that immediately caught her eye.

Heta Omega. A club of women supporting other women. This was right up Tuesday's alley. She walked up to the table and smiled at the two that seemed to be in charge. "Hi, I'm really interested in joining Heta Omega. Are first years allowed to join?" she asked. Tuesday crossed her fingers behind her back hoping with all her might that she would be allowed to join.

Sophie scowled as not one, but two older girls also lined up to sign up for this club. How was that fair? Now they would definitely not choose her. She sighed and nodded at the boy's explanation, taking one of the paper slips. "Thanks. I'll think about joining." She said slowly. "Would it be my best bet to sign up as intern?" She didn't want to come across as arrogant, thinking that she could march in as a first year and take one of the better positions. She knew how these things worked. Sophie only looked at the boy, ignoring the two other girls completely.
