Sara ran down to the Quidditch Pitch. She was up early, and today was the day for tryouts-so she wanted to be at the pitch early. She'd had a hearty breakfast that morning. She'd gotten into her Quidditch Robes very quickly, and hurried down here. Her broom was in the broom cupboard, which she fetched promptly. She was looking forward to tryouts this year. She had a Co-Captain too, which was cool. Yerik would be wonderful, and she knew he'd look after the team once she was gone. He was a great Beater too, which argued his case even more.

The Pitch was empty when she arrived, so she started setting up the equipment, and getting out the various different balls. The team should be older this year, which was heartening. Plus-their Second Years, who' been on the team last year, would have some experience. She smiled to herself, as she thought this, humming while she set up the pitch.

Once everyone was there, she smiled, and gestured for them to quieten down. "Okay guys, please give Yerik and I your names, and the position you're trying out for." Next came the instructions. "We'll let off some bludgers for the beaters, you need to keep them away from the rest of the team. Chasers and Keepers can go down to the South End of the Pitch, take shots, and Keepers in turn can try to block them." She hoped she'd been clear enough. "Good Luck. If you have any questions, we'll be here." she smiled, watching them take off.

Okay, as sual, this only requires one post. the more interesting and creative you are-the better. Good luck everyone!
Also, if there aren't enough people, First Years may get a chance to try out, you will be notified about this.

Yerik Rhys Price sure does looks happy as he made his way through the corridors and into the Quidditch Pitch. All smiles but not to the point that he looks like a giggly little girl, who wouldn't be happy to find out that he got the position of a Co-Captain as well as Editor in Chief. He felt infinite, that no one can ruin his mood, not today and hopefully not ever. Approaching Sara, he smiled to her. Sincere yet reserved, the typical Yerik of course. "Good day Sara." said Yerik. As he stood beside her, he knew very well that this would be Sara's last year. It would be nice if they could get a full team this year, just so to fill out the missing spaces like last year. Different students, old and new arrived to try out. Luckily for the co-captain he didn't need to try-out anymore. It made him feel special, deep inside of course. He stood by his co-captain, while waiting for the other to arrive. "That would be me, Yerik." he said to them as he pointed out, just so they know who he was. As his first time, he wasn't sure what to say. Since Sara's in charge, all he could do was to keep still and wait. When a pile of students arrived, Yerik Rhys nodded and listened to Sara's instruction to the members. Give your best effort and Good luck guys." he hoped them all the best. Knowing that sometimes it could get a bit uneasy especially with that nasty bludger and all. Something inside of him wanted to join them but he knew it would be best to stay on the ground, Sara on the other hand seems to be cool about it. Yerik wasn't close to the girl, even though they were both prefects, both reporters and now both captains. There will come a time when the two could get to know each other, the sooner the better.

Quidditch was still somewhat foreign to Rosie. Before last year, Rosie didn't even know the existence of the wizarding world. Now she was in the midst of a world where unicorns, witches, and even giants existed. It was a lot to take in. Especially the sport of Quidditch. Rosie liked the idea of possibly being part of a team though, so she made a decision last year, that she would learn all she could about the sport, and then try out as soon as she could. Which apparently was going to be this year. "Bryce told me he was going to try out again this year. But I don't see him yet." Rosie thought to herself as she approached the Pitch. He had made it onto the team last year as a Keeper. That was really cool. He must have been really good if he had been on the team as a first year. Rosie had been practicing for a bit, but she still wasn't even close to being as good as she thought Bryce was. Or any of the other players for that matter. But, Rosie was going to give it her best shot this year. Whether she did well or not, didn't matter. But as long as she tried her best. Rosie approached the two captains and smiled very softly. She felt so little and amateur compared to them. "H-hello. My name is Rosie. I wanted to try out for...ch-chaser. If that's okay." Rosie stuttered a few times as she tried to get out everything she wanted to say. Could she be a decent chaser when she was as nice and sweet as she was? Well Rosie didn't see why not. Beater was the aggressive position, so Rosie thought she would be okay. When Rosie was given the go ahead to go and try out she smiled and mounted her broomstick.

Rosie kicked her body off the ground and hovered for a moment before she grabbed the handle of the broom and flew up into the air. Someone released the Quaffle for her and Rosie caught it with ease. The second year tucked the Quaffle under her arm and started off towards the hoops that she needed to try and score on. Rosie figured her shots would get blocked, but she was going to attempt to get it in as many times as she possibly could. Rosie sped forward and stopped just as she got to the hoops. With the strongest arm possible, she hurled the Quaffle right at the hoops. It was blocked this time, but Rosie figured she could always try again. The Quaffle was tossed back out to another player, who in turn tossed it at Rosie. Rosie caught it with both of her hands and re-tucked it under her arm again. This time she would try another method of scoring she had read about. Rosie sped toward the hoops once more and pretended that she was going to throw the Quaffle in one direction, then quickly switch over to another direction. She tossed the Quaffle and to her delight, it actually went through the hoop. Rosie threw the keeper an apologetic smile. Rosie wanted to try one more time to make sure she was noticed and nodded to have the Quaffle thrown to her one last time. This time she almost missed catching it, but thankfully she nicked it with her fingertips and it fell into her lap. Rosie tucked the quaffle under her arm one last time and zipped off to the hoops. Hurried, she tossed the Quaffle inside and watched as it was blocked again. The Keeper was really good. She was glad that she wasn't on another team having to face off against him. Rosie lowered her broom down to the ground and avoided making eye contact with the captains. She hoped she had done well enough to at least not get laughed at.

Being made Head Boy was a surprise and a delight for Isaia Romanes. He was sure that Aphrodite was proud of him too, and so were his siblings! His uncle did not give a darn though. That was never surprising. This year, Isaia had to worry about the NEWTs, but he did not have many classes, and Aphrodite was in her sixth year which meant more fun for the two of them. Isaia made sure that his Head Boy badge was pinned on his chest, his hair as neat, and then finding his broom proved to be a challenge since he did not know where he had placed it last. He eventually found it, and he was going to be a beater this time around. Well, he was always a beater, so it was not that bad anyway. Isaia shrugged when he was ready, and traveled out of the Ravenclaw commons, down the stairs that took a long time, and then walking onto the lawn with the sun shining and proved to be a really good day to host try outs. He heard that Ravenclaw got a new Co-Captain to go along the side of Sara Moon. He did not know who it was, but he was sure that he or she would be good. Isaia never wanted a position like that. Isabella had a lot of work with her team, but it proved to be a good thing though. She led the team to victory.

He soon arrived to the pitch, where he saw that the other captain was the younger Yerik Rhys Price. The other beater. He smiled to the two of them before announcing, "Isaia Romanes, trying for beater." He had been a beater for many years now. Isaia just had to protect the team from the bludgers that were around, and he thought that would be easy enough for him. He tossed his leg over the broom and he took to the skies with a bat in his hand to fend the bludgers from the players. That did not seem too hard for him anyway. He flew around, looking to see if there were any around, and soon enough, there was a bludger threatening one of the chasers. Isaia soared toward it, and whacked it in another direction, protecting the teammate. The last thing someone wanted to do was to try out and then have to leave because the beaters did not get the bludgers away from the teammates in time. Well, they were not teammates yet, but he considered them to be. Waving toward the other chaser, he continued to fly around. Isaia continued to protect his team the best that he could with the way he was, before it was soon time to stop trying out. Isaia thought that he had done well this time around, and he landed himself. He nodded once to the two captains before leaving the pitch to go find his girlfriend. She had to be around somewhere!

The previous year, Bryce Chamberlin was made Keeper, the only first year on the team that was in the line-up and not as an alternate. He was proud, but his team made him want to throw up sometimes because of the lack of players. He hoped that it would not be the case this year. With more Ravenclaws around, there had to be some that were worth having around. Bryce put on his Quidditch uniform, grabbed his brand new Sapphire Streak and he was soon on his way down to the pitch. He was not as early as he would have liked to be this year, but it was still good enough for him. His sapphire streak was polished and it looked marvelous. He walked down the stairs, not too far behind the Head Boy, someone that he did not know well, and did not really want to. Bryce was one of those people that did not care to know people. Bryce had been made Co-Editor of the Accio! yearbook as well, and he was going to earn the title to be solo Editor next year. He was sure that he could handle the pressure. He was being trained after all. Bryce stopped at the ground floor to write a note where he would give to the captains so that he could avoid talking to them. He eventually arrived to the pitch, after he pocketed his note and saw that Rosie Reilly was here. He had been calling her Roo as a nickname since he gave her that name. He approached her, tapped on her shoulder and smiled at her. That was a good greeting, wasn't it? He could always pull the French greeting and give her two kisses on the cheek, but he decided that would be a bit weird for the two of them.

Looking to the two captains, Bryce passed the note that said: "I'm Bryce Chamberlin, and I am trying out for Keeper." Once the other players were free to go to the skies, Bryce tossed his leg over the broom, and he took off, hoping that Roo would have the best of luck. He went over to one of the goals, and he looked ahead at the chasers that were trying out for the team, and they were going to be trying to score in order to impress the captains and become a part of the Quidditch team. Bryce saw one of the chasers, one being Roo, toss the quaffle, but he blocked it. He tossed it back to the chasers and gave a slight wave. Hopefully she would not be too mad at him. Perhaps he should take it easy, but then again he was going to be giving it his all too. However with the next play, it had actually gone through the hoops. He was almost surprised, but even Roo had some skill. This was her first time playing, so she shouldn't be too nervous. She was good at that chaser business! He managed to block a couple more attempts that were thrown his way before it was time to leave. He lowered himself to the ground, where he waited for Roo. He decided that he should walk with her to go do something else, and to give her some encouragement. She was great out there!

Hayley braided her hair as tightly as she could, fixing one either side of her ears and readying herself for action. She slipped on a pair of her old jeans, ignoring the holes in the knees, and pulled on one her particularly plain t-shirts and trainers. She was uncertain as to how muddy this was going to get, but she was looking forward to it, so when she reached the pitch with her freshly trimmed broomstick in hand, she was grinning at the turnout. At least she would get to meet some of her fellow Ravenclaws if nothing else.

Walking over to those in charge, Hayley stated her name and the team she was trying out for, hoping to come across as more confident than perhaps she really was. "My name is Hayley Dalton," she beamed cheerfully, "and I would like to try out for Chaser." She nodded to them and they seemed to make a note and understand. Hayley then moved swiftly down to the south end of the pitch to start her tryout. She eagerly mounted her broom, kicking off a little too hard as usual, and shot up high into the air. Once she had re-organised herself, Hayley caught a spare quaffle thrown to her for practise, and she clutched it firmly beneath her arm, fixing her fist tightly around the neck of the broom and leaning harshly forward, spurring it on. She soared rappidly towards the hoops, turning this way and that to build up speed and hopefully, in the process, catch the Keeper off guard a little. When she felt she was lined up and ready, Hayley punched the quaffle towards the left hoop and-
The Keeper caught it. It was a little disheartening, but Hayley was going to carry on and give this her best shot. She still had another few tries left and she retrieved the quaffle from the Keeper, complementing their skill as she did so.

Once she was ready to try again, Hayley sped towards the hoops. This time she took no chances, bolting fast as she could towards the left, spinning at the last minute and punching the quaffle straight through the center hoop. She grinned, pleased with herself for doing so. With any luck she would still be in with a good chance, and it was her positive attitude that kept her plowing on. And once the session had come to an end, Hayley landed, touchly softly down against the ground. Her landing skills had improved somewhat since the last year. She was very pleased with herself, now, regardless of whether or not she made the team. She had scored eight out of ten shots. Pretty good work, in her opinion. Now, she thought, making her way back over to those in charge, if only I could do the same with my classes.

Ryuuji woke up earlier than usual that morning. He had heard that quidditch try outs had officially started and he really cannot contain his excitement over that news. On his fourth year, he was made to be the keeper of the team, but unfortunately, due to certain things that he needed to pursue first, he had to give up on quidditch on his fifth year. He had really missed it though. Playing as Ravenclaw keeper had been the best thing that had happened to him during his fourth year. The adrenalin rush, the excitement, the cheering of the crowds, he could still remember it as if it had just happened a few days ago. He really regretted not being able to try out for his team the previous year, it was something that he would regret for the rest of his life.

Dressing into a simple white shirt and casual jeans, the sixth year made his way down the pitch, memories of his first try out coming back in a flash. As soon as he arrived, Ryuuji looked for ones in charged for the team. Sara Moon was their seeker, and now, she's been given the task to lead the team which wasn't really a surprise considering how dedicated she seemed to be to lead the group. Price had been really dedicated to the team for as long as he could remember too. Approaching the two, Ryuuji introduced himself, "Ryuuji Tsukino, trying out for chaser." He said, bowing a full ninety degrees. Though he used to be a keeper of his team, since he had tried being a chaser for the christmas quidditch held before, he had rather liked the feeling of being a chaser and scoring points for the team. Don't get him wrong though, he liked being the keeper too, but it somehow frustrates him when he would watch the others playing their hearts out, flying around the field, fighting for the quaffle just to score for their house. Being a keeper is great, but he had chosen to be on the 'battlefiled' and be one of those on the offense rather than defense.

After introducing himself and giving out the position that he wanted to try out for, the sixth year Ravenclaw walked to the south end of the pitch just like they were told. Ryuuji then mounted the broom and kicked off the ground with enough force to make him shoot up high into the air. A quaffle had been passed to him and he swooped forward and caught it securely, hair curling around his face. Looking for a chance to score, he soared forward towards the hoops. He was a blur of black hair and slim white clothing. When he thought that the keeper was a bit distracted, he tried again to put the Quaffle past him, but the keeper was barely able to catch it in time. He would have kicked himself if he could for being rather hasty and letting his excitement get the best of him. Ryuuji abruptly stopped in midair, and his face lit up with a Cheshire cat's grin, he'd better get a goal on his next try.

Catching the quaffle that the keeper threw back at him, Ryuuji looked for another student trying out for the chaser position who's able to be passed on. Quidditch is a team sports it's not like he could do it on his own. He had passed the quaffle to another student, who, after flying for sometime, tossed the quaffle back to him. Ryuji caught the quaffle securely and, as fast as he could, flew straight to the center hoop only to throw the quaffle to the right. He had read about diversionary tactics before, and he had seen lots of chasers tried it out, hopefully it would work this time for him too. To his relief, it did. Cheering for himself and thanking Kami-sama, the Ravenclaw went for another try, making sure that it wasn't just luck that had helped him score a goal. After a few more tries, some of which had failed though majority had counted as goal, Ryuuji made his way back to the ground. He still could have done better, but he tried what he could for the day. Accepted or not, he'd be practicing more to polish his skills. After all, he had resolved already that quidditch is something that he would never give up on.
