Beatrice was ecstatic that Maggie had made the quidditch team for Ravenclaw - not because she cared a wink about quidditch - but because it gave her sister something separate to do. Magdalene was now going to be seen as a jock, which meant Bea had to find her own identity and the closest thing she could think of to going back to pretty, sparkly, ice dancing was a cheerleading group. However, cheerleading with wizards seemed a little complicated for a twelve-year-old to lead, and the Ravenclaw decided the term "Pep Club" would be better suited. They could do little cheers and wear cute outfits while still featuring team spirit. She really wanted it to be a multi-house group that cheered for everyone who was either doing well or needed a little boost.

Arranging to have a meeting on the pitch at lunch one Wednesday, Beatrice sat on the grass with a big canvas she had acquired laid out that read "Go Hogwarts" in big letters already. She was hoping after they talked that maybe they could decorate a little bit so people could get to know each other. The second year waited patiently for the first few people to arrive.

OOCOut of Character:
Hi everyone! Bea is starting an unofficial pep club (think cheerleading) to lead cheers during the quidditch games. Any students of any gender, age, and house are welcome - no prior experience or knowledge required. Likely what will happen is we'll come up with a couple cheers and maybe start a thread each game to contribute to some drama cheer on whoever is playing. For now, if you just want to post them joining, and then I'll post again in a few days once we have some members.

Mania wasn't sure what she was doing but as soon as she had seen that sparkly flyer? yeah she'd been sold. So there she was at the pitch walking towards the girl she supposed would be leading this club thing. There weren't many girls around yet, in fact she seemed to be the first to join the older girl. "Hi my name is Mania, I have no clue what a pep-club is but I saw the glitter and was sold!" The Gryffindor exclaimed as soon as she reached the older girl. "So, do I sign up somewhere or how does this work?" She asked, ready to be put into the club roster.

Not that Ruth would ever show it but she was a little disappointed basically all her roommates got into the Quidditch team and she didn't. Of course, she didn't try very hard, so it was to be expected. She didn't want the pressure of having to play, but she didn't want to be too left out either. Cyrus had got on to the Ravenclaw team, too. Maybe it was a good thing Ruth didn't, as the last thing she would've needed was to be directly competing with Cyrus. Not the least in something that she probably wasn't very good at. But she'd cheer him on, at least, that was something she knew she could do.

Appropriately, one of the Ravenclaw girls had advertised a pep club, and Ruth was quite excited about it (at least, once she got the general gist of it). Hyping people up was something she was good at, and this way she could freely cheer for both Slytherin and Ravenclaw without bad optics. She didn't know Bea that well yet, but the girl seemed pretty nice too. Ruth thought she might be good to hang out with especially if her dormmates would be busier with training. She waved as she approached the setup, seeing a younger girl already there. "Hey, Bea right? This is such a cool idea!"

Hēmi had found the flyer kind of interesting though he wasn't exactly sold. Would this be a girls thing? Would he be the odd guy out? He didn't quite know. Not that he cared that much about doing things that girls liked - he'd grown up with two sisters after all - but he didn't want to stand out. Still, he decided to give the thing a go and showed up to the first meeting.

Hēmi was right, he was the only guy so far. That was okay. This would be okay. "Hey," he greeted everyone who had gathered, recognising just one of the girls from his year. He still wasn't sure about this, but he hovered around waiting for more information.

Christa followed along with Mania, especially in these early days of the school, she tried not to get left behind too much and followed either Mania or Peregrine mostly so she didn't get lost. It wasn't even just the castle as much as there just being so much around that was confusing and distracting. The stairs moved, like all the time, which was confusing because she frequently had no idea where she was going and would sometimes end up on a completely different floor than the one she was looking for. She hadn't been late to classes yet, but she was sure it was only a matter of time. The other thing was that she definitely had no idea about the social etiquette. Now people would tell her that there was no such thing as a social etiquette, but she would beg to differ, because every culture, and every country had a social etiquette, she just didn't know what this one was. And it really annoyed her actually. "I want to join too!" She also had no idea of the concept of a pep club, but she was a fast learner usually so she hoped she could pick it up quickly.

When Eurydice had seen the poster, she was curious. And interested. She had a cousin in every Quidditch Team except for Ravenclaw. And so the chance to cheer on teams that were not Hufflepuff without being judged for it was something that she found intriguing. She wasn't interested in cheering for Ravenclaw, but she supposed she could pretend to cheer for them. It was certainly easier than pretending to not cheer for Gryffindor or Slytherin. She arrived at the Pitch and hesitated a little when she saw who were already there. She didn't get along much with people in her year (or out of it). Still, she had plans to cheer for her cousins, and if this unofficial club didn't take her, well... being called traitor wouldn't be new anyway.

Sophie hadn't managed to try-out for the quidditch team like she had wanted, but she had liked the idea one of her twin dormmates, Bea, had brought up. She thought the pep club had been exciting. She hadn't really heard or seen anything like this in nz often, as it wasn't really a thing in New Zealand, but her cousins in the states doing this was well as seeing it through muggle media, it had been very interesting to see for sure. The Ravenclaw not only wanted to do this fun activity, but she also wanted to do this in support of her friend. "Hiya Bea! I'd like to sign up too, if its not too late?" Sophie says, walking up to the rest of the group with a smile and wave.

Bea was excited to see a few people start to join her on the field. She stood up as Mania introduced herself and then nodded. "If you want to write your name down there so we can have an official list, that would be cool!" she said, gesturing to a piece of parchment by the banner. She was glad to see Sophie and Ruth being excited about the group as well as an unfamiliar red head. Once a few people had joined, she stood up nervously. She wasn't sure if speaking in front of 6 people counted as public speaking, but it sure brought about the same nerves, and this was difference than speaking with the Debate Club. "Hi, I'm Bea Grey, and this is the Unofficial Pep Club because it's not like run by the school or anything - just me. Or maybe us, I don't know. Anyway, Pep Club is kind of like where we'll go to the Quidditch Games and cheer people on, no matter what house is playing and waht house you're in. We can even wear matching outfits - and glitter - if you all want, and we'll practice, but I thought today we could make a big banner to use. We need to decorate it more with like the mascots and the house colors and maybe some sayings like or short cheers like "keep your eyes on the pitch, get the snitch" or stuff like that. I'm still working on cheers, but if anyone wants to help with that, too, that'd be nice. Anyway... any questions?" she asked, finally stopping as she looked around at the others. "If not, go ahead and start decorating," Bea finished, grabbing some paint and she sat down near one of the corners.
