Scarlet stood outside the entrance to the Brotherhood of Magic common room. The Hufflepuff really wasn't one to hang out in such places though it didn't take much for her to be persuaded to do such a thing. Especially since she too had plans of going to the said place. It was Valentine's Day and Scarlet was determined to give chocolates to a certain Ravenclaw. But being too shy herself, she really didn't want to hand it over to Jakobe outright and instead opted to ask one of the brotherhood members to hand it for her. Though, of course, the Heta Omega had decided to maximize this opportunity and Scar could only sigh at the antics of the sorority. True enough that she wanted a little payback for what had happened to her hair that time, but they weren't even sure if it was the Brotherhood behind it all. But then again, there was no doubt in the minds of the older ones that it was the male organization behind it all, so the sorority had a little plan for the boys. And of course, Scarlet played the rather huge part in this.

The Hufflepuff held two paper bags in her hands as she waited. Both bags contained a box with chocolates. Scarlet, with the help of Ai and the other sorority girls, made sure that they smelled great and tasted great while the rest concocted up the potion that would make this Valentine's Day quite memorable for the male population. Well, Jake's little box of chocolate was innocent enough, though should he decide to try the big box, well, he and the rest of the Brotherhood were in for quite a treat. The boys messed with the hair, the girls will mess with the breath. It seemed a fair enough deal she supposed, the plan was simple enough. Scarlet will hand it to a Brotherhood member, except Jake of course, and then she will leave. No sneakiness. Just handing and thanking. And so, when Scarlet had saw a rather familiar older student, she called his attention and bit her lip shyly. She was so not good with deceiving people. With a rather obvious blush, she handed a small box to the older boy, "Uhm... Will you mind giving this to Jakobe? It's Valentine's chocolate," she said before looking down at the bags she was holding. "And this is for the Brotherhood. I made it myself so I don't really know if it'll suit your taste and all. B-but it w-will be evil of m-me to not give you some when I'm asking you a favor," she stuttered out from nervousness. Well, there's to hoping that the plan will succeed. Hopefully it will.

Now that Preston was in possession of his wand and free of the dreadful patrols with Sergei, all seemed right in his world. He was doing fairly well, enjoying his position as president of the Brotherhood, and playing the field. The Slytherin wasn't quite ready to commit to anyone in particular just yet, but he was having plenty of fun. All in all, this half of the year was a complete 360 to how his year had started. With a content sigh, Preston continued on his way to the Brotherhood lounge to see if anyone was up for a game of Exploding Snap.

Spotting the girl standing by the lounge, Preston's eyes narrowed for a moment until he drew closer and realized how tiny this one was. He moved towards her, his arms crossing his chest as she began to speak. His suspicion spiked at the mention of chocolate. Even if Valentine's Day was soon, Preston hadn't forgotten the trick that had been played on the Heta Omega. But, he wasn't entirely sure that this girl was even in the group, which gave him pause in being mean to her and sending her away. Instead, he took the boxes slowly into his hands, the larger one meant for the Brothers on the bottom and the smaller one on top. "Jakobe. For Valentine's Day" he repeated, he'd never known the guy had a little girlfriend. " Aren't you guys a little young?" he joked, his eyes settling back on the boxes before drifting back to her face again. She seemed nervous but whether it was because he was a sixth year or embarrassment or something else was impossible to tell. Still, would the Heta Omega really pull the same exact gag on them that they'd pulled and would they send a teeny first year to do the job if they were? With a nod, Preston spoke. "Fine. I'll see that he gets it. And thanks for the chocolate." He turned to head in to the Brotherhood lounge but stopped and turned back, waiting for her to leave before he entered. No way was she going to see inside.

"Which one of you squirts is Jakobe?" Preston called out. "Top ones for you. The big one is for us, courtesy of your girlfriend" he emphasized as he put the boxes down on their food table and opened them. They looked normal enough and they smelled normal enough too. So had his though. "Anyone game to try one with me?" he asked as he lifted one from the box for closer inspection.

<SIZE size="50">The young Slytherin boy was lying on his stomach with a small set of toy cars in front of him. While others were studying, or revising, the boy had begun playing with the cars. Usually he played in his dorm room or outside, but it wasn't a nice day, and he'd been chased out of the dorm. So, he'd found himself in the brotherhood room, in a small corner of the room, playing with the cars in front of him. They were little cars, and while the boy in the back of his mind was sure that he shouldn't be playing with them. Avie was pretty content. He liked it, he made the noise of the cars softly, and pretended they were in huge car chases. The young Slytherin boy hadn't heard much from his tutor in the past few weeks, and well, without that man to sort of guide him a little more, he was feeling a little lost. Avie's mind told him that like most others the man had simply given up, but he was sure that the man was just busy and didn't have that much time for Avie. Teaching Avie, he knew was not an easy task. So, while he was surrounded by people studying, Avie was messing around with the little cars, in a little world of his own. Ignoring all those around him, enough in the corner to not be a bother to those moving around. It was nice. He wasn't even noticing the time passing him. He was just happily playing and since he wasn't bothering anyone, no one appeared to want to bother him. Avie didn't think that he needed to study really, he was a second year, and while he probably should study a little, or try to, the words on the pages just swam in front of his eyes. It was just too hard, so this was better.

Avie was broken out of his trance while a loud voice spoke over the small hum of noise. Avie looked up and glanced at the president of the club. He liked that dude, and he was carrying something. One of the things belonged to someone called Jakobe, and the other to them. Avie was not one to turn down free chocolate, so, he got to his feet, stuffed the toy cars into his pockets and slowly made his way over to the box. The small, quiet sensible voice in his mind was telling him to be careful, but then he could smell the chocolate, and well, his hunger and desire for sweet things took over. When the president asked who wanted to try one, the slytherin boy raised his hand as he continued to make his way over. "Definitely me" he smiled happily as he reached out and took a couple of the chocolates and then stuffed them in his mouth. "They're good" he said, while still eating them. Before, settling himself down on a spot on the sofa that was unoccupied and taking one of the cars out of his pocket began to play with it. Using his own body as the thing for the car to move on. Avie glanced around the room, as he finished the chocolates. "Why'd she give them to us?" He asked curious about it, looking at the president of the club before just turning most of his attention back to the car he was playing with. Hopefully eating them would have no negative effects.

Preston had already raised a chocolate to his mouth when the first person stepped forward. It was Avie, the kid that Preston would forever admire for hugging Styx and living to tell the story. The kid was spunky, and, from what Preston had heard, a decent Quidditch player as well. "C'mon. I already knew Avie was brave. No one else wants one? What's the worst that can happen?" he joked as he stuffed a chocolate into his mouth. Biting down, Preston tasted caramel. His favorite.

Heading for the empty beanbag that was near Avie, Preston tossed himself down before he answered the question. "I dunno. It was a thank you for bringing that other chocolate in for Jakobe. Where is that guy anyway?" he asked, glancing around the room to see who else would step forward. For a little first year, that had been some pretty good chocolate. He was a disaster in the kitchen, not that he ever actually tried to cook for himself much. They had people to do that in his home. With his wand, Preston summoned a wizarding sports magazine towards himself and began to absently leaf through it.
