TEAM BLUE - 60 POINTS
(Chaser - 1 Strike)

Ten was ready for it. She straightened up and with both hands grabbed the quaffle out the air as the blonde threw it toward her, and in one swift motion lobbed it straight through the hoop. Honestly it was refreshing to feel like once again she was on the same page as Ned.

Ray was starting to get dizzy with all these abrupt changes of direction. The kids were too fast for her these days. They needed a proper old-people only game some time. She caught the quaffle and headed for the opposite hoops.

Leda couldn't remember for a moment what team she was on. She scratched her head, adjusting her shirt a little and figuring if she lost against Felix she could blame it on the fact she hadn't played since before the triplets were born. She started her hunt for the snitch again, careful to keep out of the way of the bludgers.

(Beater - 1 strike)

Susie whooped as Ten scored another goal for Team Blue. They were neck and neck again. Better still, a bludger was on its way back toward her. She braced, hovering as she waited for it to come within reach. Where was Felix now?

(Seeker)

Felix was hiding. Or at least he was doing his best to hide behind Rion and keep away from Susie, as he started looking for the snitch again. Raylee had the quaffle, so things were looking like they were back in their favour.

(Chaser)

Rion accepted a pass from Raylee as they sped side-by-side toward the hoops. Even when she knew it didn't matter, even when there was no pressure, her hands always started to shake when she was about to score. She held her breath and launched the quaffle.

Mary Lou kept a close eye on the red team chasers, Raylee and Rion, she didn't know what they were like in school, but she'd personally never been a Quidditch player when she'd been at school, so all of this was a bit of a new experience for her. Rion and Raylee raced towards the hoops and Mary Lou tried to get herself into position, but the Quaffle just barely skimmed her fingers before sailing through her hoop and she quickly turned to grab it before throwing it back into play.

Wendall realised once he was in the air, that he'd not picked up his bat but a log, while fumbling around in the dark. He returned to the ground for another attempt.

(Chaser)

She'd scored? She'd scored!! Rion was half convinced Mary-Lou had let it in, so she beamed gratefully at her before she flew away. She did love Mary-Lou.

Monty was glad he had Freddie to keep track of the scores for him, because he was briefly incapacitated when Wendall picked up a log. Never change, Wendall.

Ten hated that Rion had managed to score, if not because it meant she now had more confidence. Ten caught the quaffle when Mary-Lou chucked it back out, an assembled back in her original position parallel to Ned.

The redhead flew after the other redhead. Redheads had to stick together, and by that Raylee meant she was going to try and tackle Amortentia at the first opportunity. Sensing one, she moved in for the grab.

Ten was vageuly aware she was being followed, but it wasn't until she felt Raylee's hands reaching past her arms that she understood she was being tackled. "Get off!" Ten moved the quaffle further under her arm, slapping at the redhead's hands.

Ray was so surprised at having her hand slapped that she lost speed, and Ten went whizzing off ahead. Had she seriously just lost a tackle to a hand-slap? She could almost hear Rudolf laughing down the pitch. Those girls were really something. They'd picked an odd strategy, but it worked.

Felix could tell that the others were distracted again, which meant once again it would soon be his time to shine. Monty better have his whistle ready.

TEAM RED - 70 POINTS
(Keeper)

Rudolf was starting to regret putting Ray on his team. Maybe she was going easy on them because they were kids. No - that was ridiculous. Ray would never do a thing like that. He saw Amortentia coming and prepared himself to block her throw.

TEAM RED - 70 POINTS
(Beater)

Wendall picked up the correct tool for the job, getting back on his broom and taking to the air. He knew he needed to protect Felix and the Chasers, so went quickly in search of another bludger to hit the blue teams way.

(Beater - 1 Strike)

Susie had had her eye on Felix for a while, now. Just as he became exposed again, a bludger appeared in her peripheral vision. She made a dive for it, swinging hard toward the seeker. She was not going to lose this!

(Seeker - 1 Strike)

Felix was close to grabbing the snitch for the third time. His hand was outstretched, fingers almost brushing the metal. Suddenly a bludger smacked him in the bicep and he pulled away, the glance enough for the snitch to get away.

(Chaser)

Ned flew closely alongside Ten, acting as her meatshield as they approached the hoops. She'd have taken a real bludger for her too, probably. OK, maybe not. But she liked to think she'd think about it for a moment before it hit her.

TEAM BLUE - 60 POINTS
(Chaser - 1 Strike)

Ten debated whether or not to pass to Ned. She knew she could score too, but maybe that's what Rudolf was expecting. She pretended to throw it through the air again, but switched at the last moment to throw it at the hoop instead.

TEAM RED - 70 POINTS
(Keeper)

"What?!" Rudolf cried, as the quaffle soared right through the hoops. "Next time, you two are on my team." Clearly, keeper wasn't his best position. He grabbed the quaffle from the ground and threw it back into play.

TEAM BLUE - 100 POINTS
(Seeker - 1 Strike)

Leda took the chance of Felix being distracted to follow after the line he'd been flying, grabbing the snitch for herself and the team while he was busy beating off a bludger. She glanced to Monty, expecting a whistle just as loudly for her catch.

TEAM RED - 70 POINTS
(Chaser - 1 strike)

"Replacing me? I see how it is," said Ray, but she was grinning as she caught the quaffle. "Wouldn't want to be on your team again anyway, loser."

Monty was getting a bit tired. There was a moment's delay on the whistle. "But what's this?!" he cried. "Leda Layton, pretending to be asleep there for a moment, but wide awake all along as she lunges in for the snitch, securing another thirty points for for Team Red! Sorry - Team Blue! A sparkling execution there brings them to a lead of - er, I'm sure my co-referee can tell me - one-hundred to seventy! It's anybody's game as the players re-assemble for what could be their final round. The commentator is very excited because he needs another cup of tea." Good lord, he shouldn't have committed to the bit. He blew the whistle.
