Open Spin the Bottle Y38

Leia wasn't sure what was wrong with the younger students, but certainly she was glad she was a year older. She couldn't imagine sharing a dorm with someone who'd just punch like that. How unladylike to start. But of course as the bottle spun and landed on Augustus, his spin landed on her. Her cheeks immediately blushed deep red and she half expect him to knock the bottle to someone else or say no, but he moved to be in front of her. She looked with an embarrassed expression, she was sure given how she treated him that he didn't want this. But that was the game, you were to kiss people. Even those you disliked though she hoped he wouldn't take this opportunity to punch or something. She saw him stop and very quickly realised he was looking for her to close that distance. She was quick leaned in and very lightly kissed his lips. Making it short and to the point. Not lingering for a second on it. It was then her turn again, so she took the bottle and spun. It landed on a girl in the year below whom she did not know. She had nice hair though. leia moved to her and would let the younger girl decide how this kiss went.
@Hester MacGillivray

If Hester had felt out of her depth before the game started, that was nothing compared to how she felt once it was actually going. People were just... kissing each other, and she couldn't help looking away every time. It felt like a secret she wasn't really old enough to know about, and she found herself wishing desperately that she hadn't come. It was almost a relief when Giselle and Liusaidh got into a fight, something familiar amidst all this chaos. But just as Hester was settling down again the bottle landed on her, and she felt every nerve in her body stand on end. This was a mistake. But she couldn't just wimp out in front of all her classmates and the older kids who had come. So she laughed, even able to hear herself how different her voice sounded from her usual jubilant laugh. "Um... yeah! Cool! Kissing!" She said a little too quickly. "Love... kissing..."

Hester could feel the heat in her cheeks as she leaned closer, taking a deep breath before mashing her lips to the other girl's in a kiss that even she could tell wasn't especially pleasant. But she had done it now, she had had her first kiss, and maybe everything was supposed to feel different, but mostly she just still felt too young for this. But she wasn't even free as Hester realised in dismay that now it was her turn to spin. She gave an altogether unconvincing grin as she reached for the bottle with a slightly shaky hand, almost unable to bring herself to look as it spun. It landed again on an older boy she didn't know, and her stomach twisted at once. She had always found girls nicer to look at and never thought much of it, but now that she was faced with the prospect of kissing a boy she realised that was the last thing she wanted to do. But she couldn't wimp out now. Moving closer, Hester took a moment to look at his face, and it sank in that she just didn't want to do this. She wasn't ready for all this kissing stuff, and it had been a mistake to come here. So she shifted her head to the side and gave the boy the tiniest peck on the cheek, the kind of kiss she would have given her brothers when she was younger, and then stood up abruptly. "I just remembered I have an essay due, I gotta go!" It was a complete lie, but the quicker she could get out of here, the better. "Bye!" She said in a high pitch as she hurried out of the room, heart racing as she wondered what was wrong with her.

@Ryan Fisk

((Hester is outtie sry!! also sry for the bad kisses and/or you're welcome))

Ryan had mostly been distracted still trying to figure out what was going on with the Slytherin girls when he realized the bottle was pointing at him again. There was a moment he thought the girl leaning over to kiss him this time might actually be sick, and he looked at her quizzically. Everyone in this game seemed to be a confusing mix between nonchalant and incredibly nervous and Ryan couldn't figure out which one was the norm here. He was a little relieved when the girl just kissed his cheek, still stuck on the idea of how unpleasant it would be to kiss someone who was about to barf, though he was still bemused as she rushed out of the room shortly after. "Did I do something wrong?" He asked the room, though it was mostly directed at Augustus next to him.

Ryan hadn't been expecting to have to spin the bottle so many times, but at least he was getting used to it. Once the girl that had kissed his cheek had run off, he shrugged, leaning over to spin the bottle another time, watching as it landed on Theia, who was actually in his class. "This okay?" He asked her, since everyone else seemed to be, moving over towards her. @Theia Carnahan

Theia sat down next to Sawyer when the game began, trying her best to keep to herself. However she couldn’t help but scrunch her nose slightly as the game unfolded, unable to keep her mind from all the germs that were being spread around, and might be spread to her if the bottle spun in her direction. It was on that train of thought that the bottle spun past her and landed on Sawyer, and Theia exhaled a breath she didn’t realize she was holding in. She soon returned to scrunching her nose, looking away and to a spot on the otherside of the room when Sawyer got his kisses over with, feeling embarrassed on Sawyers behalf at how awkward the game was. Theia wondered why she had decided to attend knowing even beforehand she would be uncomfortable with it. But as the game continued on and the bottle eventually spun on her, she knew she couldn’t exactly back out of it either.

Theia really didn’t want to kiss the slimey Ravenclaw who spun the bottle, Ryan whatshisname from her classes. But at that point it was a matter of blending in, knowing if she decided not to kiss Ryan and left the room it would bring up too many questions that she didn’t want to answer. Theia clenched her jaw, resisting the urge to lean away from Ryan as he moved closer. She then sighed and decided to get overself. “Yeah, sure.” She said, leaning in and closing her eyes to softly press her lips to Ryan's. As she moved away a moment later and opened her eyes, she tried not to think about the people Ryan had kissed earlier in the game. Theia was quiet as she reached to spin the bottle, watching as it landed on @Blair Silver

Eyes widening slightly, Theia looked from the bottle and to Blair, before shifting closer to her. “Um. I’m cool with cheek or lips or whatever.” Theia muttered, shrugging and trying to seem calmer than she felt. She was at least comforted by the fact she knew Blair a little more than most of the other students in the game.

Blair was already sure that something fun will happen when Giselle spun on Liusaidh. And maybe Blair wasn't close with any of them and hadn't even talked with them, even she knew about how huge the drama between them were. Huge enough to start a fight on the dancefloor, so she wasn't exactly surprised to see Giselle punching Liusaidh, but she just went with "ooooh" as it happened. It was fun that some drama happened.

But she watched as the game went on again and she couldn't help but let out a little chuckle when the bottle stopped on Theia. She found it quite funny that she had to see her friends kissing, only she absolutely didn't expect the bottle to stop on her next. What was going on with her and having to kiss her friends? "Lips are just fine," she smiled at Theia before putting her hand on girl's cheek and pressing a light kiss to her lips. Theia was more serious and down to Earth than Hilda, so Blair tried to be so too. After a moment she leaned back and smiled at Theia, right before getting in her place back.

"I know you wish you were in her place," Blair winked at Hilda before spinning the bottle again, loud enough for some people closer to them hear it. She smiled as the bottle stopped on her classmate from Gryffindor. "Hey, I'm Blair, lips or cheek?" It was probably the weirdest way how to introduce herself to someone. Almost like coming up to someone on the street and go like can i get a kiss? But at least it was a game, pretty good excuse.
@Seraphina My

Seraphina felt like all the kissing had become rather chaotic, but she couldn't help and snicker when Giselle hit Liusaidh - it only seemed fair. She couldn't believe her first kiss had been with that girl. She had hoped it might be with someone she liked. Well, not liked. She didn't like anybody. Tolerated. Tolerated seemed like a better word. She had hoped it would have been with someone she tolerated. Unfortunately, the bottle landed on her again, and she turned towards one of her classmates, making a face. "Errr," she started, quickly going in to peck Blair on the lips. She didn't want to seem afraid, wondering if that's what made Hester leave. Or maybe she just wanted to go annoy more people with her giant music sack. Reluctantly spinning the bottle, she watched as if almost in slow motion it landed on Brooke. Groaning, she crossed her arms, suddenly pouting and looked at the Slytherin with a lot of disdain. @Brooke Townsend

Brooke was glad the game seemed to be settling back down after Giselle's outburst, though she watched intently as Hester sprang suddenly from the room, filing the information away for later. "Wow, I'm sure that essay's very important," she said snidely to the girls next to her.

The game continued and Brooke was almost happy when the bottle landed on her again, even if it had been spun by one of her less than ideal classmates. "I'm not bothered. Unless you are?" She said, tilting her head as a challenge. It wasn't like kissing Seraphina was her dream either, so she didn't know where the Gryffindor got off acting like kissing Brooke was the end of the world. It seemed to be enough for Seraphina not to back down and Brooke leant forward, pressing their lips together, if only to prove a point.

She sat back, brushing her hair over the shoulder to show how unfussed she was before spinning again herself, watching the bottle land on one of the older girls. Brooke didn't know her very well, but she was pretty sure she hung out with the other weirdo Ravenclaw. Why couldn't more cool people come to her game? "Ready?" She asked, suddenly wary she'd spook the Hufflepuff if she moved too quick before the girl could react. @Addison Beckett

Addy followed after Casper and Linden, settling down on the floor with a soft sigh. She pulled her knees to her chest, watching as the game went on. Casper went, and he seemed to do well. There was a bit of a fight. Addison's ears burned as Augustus was spun. She made a point of not looking, watching her toes. Why had she come to this thing? She was hardly paying attention, not realizing she had been spun until Brooke was in front of her. Addison blinked.

"O-oh," she could feel the blush heating her cheeks. She swallowed nervously but moved forward. She wasn't scared. Right? She looked to make sure it was alright with Brooke before leaning in and pressing a firm kiss to her lips. Addison lingered, pressing her fingers to Brooke's jaw for a brief moment before pulling away and giving the other girl a shy smile. Addison wasn't sure what to think of that kiss, and she wasn't sure she was prepared to kiss again.

Addy settled back into her seat, taking a soft breath before spinning the bottle. She tried to act more confident than she felt as it spiraled in place, before finally slowing to a stop. Her eyes traced up the neck and across the floor. Her eyes widened and her breath caught as she saw who it had landed on. Augustus.

Swallowing nervously, Addy shifted and crawled across the circle to him. "I, um..." she tucked her hair behind her ear. "Did you know that in Indiana it's illegal for men with mustaches to habitually kiss another human being?" She offered with a shy smile. She let out a slow breath. "Whatever is okay," she whispered, leaning in and giving him room to decide what happened next.

Augustus had been watching the game quietly, still mulling over the fact that he'd had his first and second kiss in quick succession. He had been mentally comparing the kisses, though they had felt very similar. He supposed he thought Leia was prettier than Linden, if he had to compare, but that didn't mean much. He blinked in surprise when he saw Addison was next and watched her curiously as Brooke kissed her. It was strange, watching his best friend kiss someone, and Augustus looked away after a moment. Because of that, it took him a moment to realize the bottle was on him now. He looked up in surprise as Addison suddenly appeared in front of him. He blinked at her. "I... don't have a mustache." He told her quietly. "Nor are we in Indiana." He added, before leaning in and kissing her quickly. It was strange, and Augustus pulled back quickly. Somehow, this was ten times weirder than kissing Leia OR Linden. He couldn't quite look at Addison as he reached for the bottle and gave it a spin. It came to a stop pointing at Finn, which made Augustus feel even weirder. He was kissing two of his friends in a row. At least Finn was sitting next to him, so all Augustus had to do was turn around and stare at him, hoping Finn would take the initiative.

@Finn Madison

Finn had been mostly observing the game quietly, a little disappointed that it was more boring than he had expected. Maybe he would be having more fun if he was as popular as Ryan and Augustus seemed to be. He was almost considering following the girl who had left in a strop when the bottle finally landed on him, and he couldn't hold back a small laugh. If it was going to be anyone, Augustus was a good match. His first kiss had been with one of his roommates, why not his second as well? He gave an easy smile as he leaned in and cupped Augustus' cheek in one hand, kissing him sweet and slow. What was the point of a game like this if you weren't going to make the kisses enjoyable, after all? It was a good few moments before he pulled back, giving Augustus an easy grin and a wink before reaching for the bottle to take his own turn.

It would have been a fun kind of irony if he had managed to spin Ryan, but instead the bottle landed on a younger girl he didn't recognise. Finn was fairly sure he didn't have much personal interest in kissing girls, but that didn't mean he wasn't going to make this enjoyable. He shifted to move closer to the Slytherin, giving what he hoped was an easy smile. "Your call how this goes." He said casually, ready to give either a simple kiss on the cheek or kiss the girl with as much gusto as he had Augustus.

Alexis wasn't intending to get involved much. Her roommates had already made a mockery of their house and she found herself daydreaming about having different, less dramatic roommates. The voices and people faded to the back of her mind. Her attention had never been great and she kind of felt that this game was boring. She had never actually had her first kiss before. She didn't know if this was how she wanted it to go. Was it? Maybe it was. She knew she hadn't come here in the first place to play a game.

Somehow her attention snapped back to the game just as one of the older boys was spinning the bottle. Her eyes grew wide as she watched it land on her. Was it a mistake? Maybe someone threw a spell at it? She didn't show the sudden fear she felt, forcing the thoughts to the back of her mind as she gently smiled at the boy. Did she want to kiss him? With a slight shrug, she decided that that was the point of the game anyway. She leaned forward intending to kiss him, but instead, she turned her head slightly. She pecked his cheek and quickly moved away Clearly, she wasn't as ready as she thought. Or maybe it was because it was an older boy she didn't know. Maybe she would be more confident for the next person she had to kiss. Which she realized was a few seconds away.

Taking a deep breath she took hold of the bottle and spun it. She felt maybe she spun it a little too hard. Her mind still trying to register that she was actually going through with this stupid game. Her eyes were glued on the bottle as it spun and came to a stop. She followed the direction to a girl she recognized from class but didn't know her name. Alexis took a deep breath before making her way over to the other girl. "Cheek or lips? You can choose." Alexis said.

@Annabeth Easterling

Augustus felt his face flush at the way Finn kissed him. He blinked in response as the boy pulled away and winked at me, quickly sitting back down. He really hoped the bottle wouldn't land on him anymore, he had to process this.

Anna was too invested in the game, people seemed a bit too mad about everything and she didn't understand why, but she tried to not pay attention to the negativity, so when the bottle stopped on her, her eyes went wide and she let out a histerical giggle, touched her lips as showing that she is going to go for the lips and leaned in closer, and pressed a light kiss on her classmate's lips. She didn't know a lot about her but Anna didn't know a lot about a lot of people in the school, so it didn't matter that much.

After the kiss, she smiled at the Slytherin girl and spun the bottle again. It wasn't her first kiss, not anymore, but it was still nervous. But when the bottle stopped on her dormmate, she let out a relieved sight and got closer to Aubrey. "Heeeeey Aubrey," she put her hair behind her ear while getting in front of the classmate. "So what will you choose? You know, I have no preference," she babbled worriedly, just hoping that the other girl won't be as nervous as Anna was.
@Aubrey Miller

Aubrey watched the game idly, noting the drama but generally ignoring it. She wasn't interested in who punched who and who refused to be kissed. What she was interested in, however, was when she was finally spun herself. She sat up straighter, smiling. While kissing Annabeth wasn't high on her priority list, she wasn't going to back down. She smirked, leaning forward. She caught Annabeth's lips with her own, shifting to bring a hand up to the other girls jaw. She kissed Annabeth languidly, long and slow and sweet. Aubrey hadn't kissed anyone before, but she wasn't going to play this game half-heartedly.

She winked as she sat back, pleased that Annabeth blushed and let off some lame joke before sitting back and burying her face in a boy's neck. Nick or something like that, Aubrey couldn't quite remember his name. She flipped her hair behind her shoulder, turning and spinning the bottle herself. She smiled as it landed on Sawyer. She shifted over, prepared to kiss him just as eagerly. "Hi, Sawyer," she flirted lightly, waiting for him to make the next move.

@Sawyer Carnahan
-godmods talked over and approved-

Sawyer wasn't sure if he should laugh or look away when Theia got spun, shifting uncomfortably as she had to kiss an older Ravenclaw and then one of his classmates. He was still trying to puzzle out the expression on her face as the game continued. He was also a little worried about Hester, realizing she definitely wasn't coming back and hoping she was okay.

He was still keeping a close eye on the bottle despite all the musing, heart speeding up every time passed him on its rotation around the circle. When he was finally spun again, he glanced up nervously at Aubrey. She had certainly seemed like she knew what she was doing kissing Annabeth and Sawyer suddenly felt very sweaty. "Uh hi. Aubrey," he said lamely, wishing he could think of something cool to say and deciding maybe it was better if he just shut up and kissed her. He learnt forward, pressing his lips to her and, feeling a little bolder, putting a hand on her cheek like a few other people had done. He wasn't sure if it made things better, or if he should be doing something else with his mouth, but after a few moments he felt too awkward to keep kissing her, leaning back and clearing his throat before spinning the bottle again, watching as it landed on another older Ravenclaw who seemed like he was really chill about the whole kissing thing. "Oh uh. Lips, right?" He said, shifting a little closer and hoping he didn't look too eager. @Finn Madison

Ryan was pretty much over all the kissing stuff but he was still greatly enjoying trying to puzzle out everyone else's reactions to it. Addison especially seemed a lot more nervous to kiss Augustus than she had to kiss the Slytherin girl in charge of things. He wondered if it was meant to be weirder to kiss people you knew. He would have thought it was the opposite. It was also interesting to watch how different people were kissing each other, and Ryan was surprised how Finn especially seemed to kiss with more enthusiasm than nerves. Ryan would have to ask him about it later.

Finn was perfectly happy to kiss the younger girl on the cheek, sitting back to watch the game again once his turn was done. It was a surprise when the bottle landed on him again so quickly, and he gave the younger boy an easy smile, not unhappy to have been spun by someone so cute. "If you like." He smiled in response to the boy's question before leaning in, cupping his cheek softly as he pressed their lips together, giving him the same kind of slow, passionate kiss he had given Augustus. It was only fair, after all. He gave the boy a gentle smile when he finally broke the kiss, running a thumb over his cheekbone before leaning back to take another turn to spin. Finn landed once again on a younger girl he didn't know, giving her a gentle smile. "Your choice." He said gently as he moved closer, giving her space to choose how things would go. Though he was fairly sure he didn't have any interest in girls in the bigger picture, Finn did think it could be fun to try out kissing one, see how it felt compared to his prior experience.
@Seraphina My

Seraphina huffed at Brooke's antagonizing, frustrated by how she had put herself in this situation. It was rather frustrating, but at the same time, she was not going to establish herself as a wimp or scaredy cat among her classmates. She had too much willpower for that and suffered through smashing her lips into Brooke's before giving them a wipe on the back of her hand. Maybe this was Brooke's plan all along, seeing as she just loved to mess with people so much. She looked around the room as others continued to kiss each other, feeling antsy as she realized, going into her third year, there was really no one here that she could truly call a friend. And while "friend" had always been a lose term with her, it was still jarring to be faced with the meer thought of spending 4 more years without a shoulder to lean on. Snapping out of her stupor when the bottle landed on her again, she huffed, quickly giving the boy a smooch, the same way she had her other two classmates and then spun the bottle once more. "This game is so dumb," she muttered under her breath before watching it land on @Hildegard de Valeriane and sighing. At least it wasn't a boy this time... but she wasn't sure why she had that thought. Because it didn't matter. Did it? She hesistantly leaned towards Hilda and shrugged. "Umm, whatever works, I guess," she said kind of quietly.
