Open after Donna posts with Analei

Whenever Diana had imagined herself in her seventh year when she was younger, this was not how she had pictured things. Standing alone by the side of the crowded great hall, a cup of punch in her hand as she stared at the crowd of people having fun. She couldn't deny it any longer, Diana was lonely. She looked great, but there was no one to tell her so. Her only friend was Sapphire, and she seemed busy lately. How had this happened? Even though she was still angry at them, Diana wished for a moment Domi and Winnie had never left. But no, she had decided they weren't worth her time. The problem was, that she had decided that about a lot of people. Diana sipped her punch as she watched her little sister with her date, a younger boy she knew was in Hufflepuff too. At least she seemed to be having a good time, but that was hardly a consolation. She wished Cole was here, at least then she wouldn't look so pathetic and alone. But Diana didn't regret coming tonight. The only thing more pathetic and lonely would be to stay in the dormitory on her own.

Analei couldn't believe it was her final Valentines Dance. She knew it would have felt more special, more exciting, if Edmund was there, but it was still a bittersweet moment. Analei was sad to be leaving Hogwarts, but also very excited to get started on her new life. She knew she was close to being able to transform into an animagus too, and she could not wait to see what she would become. Things had been looking really good for her, and she was determined to end the year on a high.
Arvel was going to meet her at the dance, but of course, she was there before him. Knowing he'd probably want to chill before she forced him to dance with her, Analei went to the drinks table. Reaching forward and grabbing two cups, her eyes drifted to who was around her. Analei smiled at the Slytherin. "Hey Diana. You look lovely."

As Analei approached, Diana watched her from the corner of her eye. To her annoyance, she looked pretty good. She huffed under her breath, avoiding her gaze to ignore her for a bit. But Analei decided to speak to her, making it impossible to pretend not to have seen her. She frowned as she turned to her. "Oh, drop the fake act. There's no professors around to hear you be so saintly." She spat at the girl. "Besides, you already achieved Head Girl, what else could you want?"

Analei almost spat out the mouthful of drink she took when she heard Diana's reply. Her eyebrows raised, and she took a moment to calm herself. She didn't want Diana to be the reason she went back to her old, angry ways. Analei hadn't lost control in a long time, and she wasn't going to start now. "I actually just wanted to make peace, and leave Hogwarts with fond memories. Maybe some of us are just more mature than others." She couldn't help it.
