So far Leda was very proud of how well Slytherin were doing in their race for Quidditch cup. Just because they’d beaten Gryffindor though didn’t mean they could relax. They had another upcoming game soon with Hufflepuff, and Leda knew how hard it was going to come out on top against them. The sixth year had arranged a practise session, but the drizzly autumn rain was less than ideal conditions for flying in. Once the rest of the team had arrived, she had to shout louder to make sure her voice was heard. “We won it once so we can win it again. Chasers, make sure you’re passing to each other, I don’t want to see Luna doing all the work again. Sapphire you did good last game, your aim is definitely getting better but don’t forget to block too. Jasper and Sara you’ll be on the North hoops, Luna and Derek go South. Daintree, shadow Liam. Jai I know you’re a Chaser but can you cover the North hoops? Mordred take South. And Blake, good luck” she gave her alternate the thumbs up before giving a nod to Liam in case he had anything to add.

OOCOut of Character:
Please just post your arrivals for now, and the game will begin once Leda has released the balls.

As excited as Blake was for another practice, it almost felt pointless. Sure, he was gonna get out there and show the team what he was made of, but this stupid team would never let him actually put his talents to any use. It was criminal. He only half-listened as Leda told them the plan for the day's match, and snorted at her little jab. "Could say the same to you." He said with a grin, his tone reading as nothing but friendly to disguise the bitterness he felt towards the co-captain. Maybe he could bribe one of the beaters to do a little extra damage one of these days so he'd get a chance to actually play.

Sapphire was ready for this, without a doubt. She sauntered onto the pitch, broom on her shoulders. She popped her gum, waiting for practice to start. She nodded as Leda said she should focus on her defense as well. Fair enough. She nudged Blake's shoulder. They rarely spoke and she figured it was about time she built up some rapport with some others on the team besides Leda and Liam. "Slytherin got the best seekers in school," She teased. "Too bad we aren't on opposing teams or Leda would actually have some challenging competition." She winked before looking around for Jasper. Of all the others on the team, she wanted to make a point to talk to him, too.

Jai arrived at the Quidditch Pitch not really knowing what to expect. The team had won the last game and though he hadn't played, he was still pretty happy about it. He was one of the early ones, unlike the last practice where he came in late, so he was actually waiting around this time for practice to start. He listened as Leda gave out instructions to the team and Jai shrugged at his own placement. While he did prefer to play chaser, he was a pretty decent keeper as well. After all, his mum used to be a keeper, he couldn't exactly play with her without learning from her either. While it was slightly worrying that he'd be going against the more experienced players on the team, he was sure that he could at least do some decent blocks. "I don't mind. Should be interesting," he affirmed and waited for further instructions.

Jasper arrived at the pitch, ready for practice. He listened to Leda's words, then scowled when she mentioned how Luna had done all the work last time. It wasn't his fault she had completely hogged the quaffle. Jasper glared at the other chaser. It seemed like he would be working together with Sara, though. An older girl he didn't really know very well. He rolled his eyes at Blake's words, then waited for the practice to begin officially. He was already feeling a little grumpy.

Leda was glad to see most of the team arrive and decided to kick off with the practise, hoping the rest would show up later on. Unpopping thr trunk with the balls, the bludgers and snitch flew off, and after mounting her broom with the quaffle, the red head threw it out into the group to begin to game, searching for the ball she needed.

Sapphire rolled her neck and shot in the air, following after Leda today. She needed to protect so she would try to stick close to the Seekers.

Leda noticed Sapphire on her tail, but kept her head and body low to stay of the way of any bludgers on her search.

Blake kicked off as soon as the practice began, starting to circle the pitch. It only took seconds though, for a flutter of gold to catch his eye. There it was! Flattening himself to his broom, Blake shot off in the opposite direction to Leda, flying as fast as he could in pursuit of the golden ball. He caught up quickly and managed to close his fingers around the snitch before realising he was on a collision course with the stands, pulling away at the last second. The tail of Blake's broom clipped the wall and he spun out slightly, yelping as he struggled to right himself. Once he had though, Blake held his hand high, the snitch's wings fluttering helplessly between his fingers. "GOT IT!" He called out, waving his arm to make sure Leda had seen before releasing the snitch again. Once again, Blake had proven he was on top.

Leda turned when she heard Blake call out, how had h already managed to get the snitch? She flew back towards his direction, trying to hide the fact she was annoyed she'd found it so fast. Obviously he'd just gotten lucky. She congratulated the boy, not daring to fly too much further away in case it was nearby again.

Blake grinned, glad to once again be proving himself the top seeker in the school. Nobody would stand a chance against Slytherin once he was in charge, Blake was sure of that. Tossing Leda a cheeky salute, Blake flew off again to try and track the snitch down a second time.

Jasper took to the air once practice started, grabbing the quaffle from where it was slowly falling. Jasper tucked it under his arm and resisted the urge to gloat to Luna about how he was faster. He hoped Sara would stay near him as they were supposed to work together. He started to fly towards the north hoops as Leda had instructed. On his way there, he heard Blake's voice and turned in midair in disbelief. Had he really already gotten the snitch? Ugh. Annoyed, Jasper tried his best to focus on his task again, continuing his move to the north hoops.

Jai mounted his broom and flew to the North hoops as soon as he was given the chance. He would be a keeper in this practice session and though it wasn't his usual position, he was sort of capable. His eyes scanned the pitch for the chasers that would be attempting to score - Jasper and Sara - and saw that the former was already on his way with the quaffle. Jai would be ready.

Leda wanted to make the most of this practise session and give everyone a fair chance at practising what they needed to. So far Jasper had managed to grab the Quaffle and she hoped he’d be able to score. With any luck his teammates would show up too.

Blake was fairly sure he knew which direction the snitch had gone before flitting out of view and so he flew that way, scanning the area around him for any sign of gold. Before long he heard the flutter of wings and turned, spotting the snitch just metres away. Blake dashed forward and closed his hand easily around the golden ball, laughing in triumph as he held it high for the second time. "TWO FOR 0!" He called out to Leda, making sure she could see he had succeeded again before releasing the snitch once more.

Liam joined the team and smiled as Leda did the talking. He jumped on his broom and flew into the air. Blake managed to get the snitch soon. And something just felt funny and he kind of could not wait to see Leda's face. It was a good competition. What mattered was that they would win and they had to the next game again. Liam followed some bludgers and flew close to Dainstree for a moment. Trying to see if he could hit someone close. Blake managed to get the snitch for the second time. '' Good job Blake! Brilliant. Try to catch it another time.'' He than said with a big smile.

Leda knew she was supposed to be happy that Blake had caught the snitch again, but she let Liam give the other seeker the compliments, turning to focus her attention on the Chasers instead. She wanted to see how well they worked with each other, and was waiting for an opening to swap them out with their other alternate who wasn’t even practising his own position yet.

Sapphire stuck close to Leda, watching for the bludgers. They were nearby but hadn't made any attempts to go for Leda yet. She narrowed her eyes, swinging her bat idly to stay loose.

Jai could only grin when he heard that Blake had caught the snitch once more. It was pretty cool that they had really capable members. Now if he could only improve as well. The young boy continued to watch out for the chasers that were targeting the North Hoops that he was guarding.

Jasper didn't see anyone to pass to nearby, so he decided to try taking on the goal on his own. He groaned when Blake managed to catch the snitch again. He suspected the boy was cheating somehow. Jasper hardly paid him any attention, flying up to the north hoops where he attempted to score. To his dismay, his goal missed. He groaned in frustration and flew off.

Blake beamed as he finally got the praise he felt he deserved from Liam. Now that was what a captain looked like. Floating high on his accomplishment, Blake saluted Liam cheerfully before turning to search for the snitch again. He was gonna show Liam how awesome he was one hundred percent.

Leda was only half searching for the snitch, the other half focused on the game when she thought it was time for a switch around. "Jai, swap with Sara and take Chaser with Jasper." she called out, motioning that the older Slytherin take his place in the hoops. She wanted to make sure the team were working together when it came to the next match.

Blake flew low in the direction he thought the snitch had gone, searching below the rest of the game in the hopes of spotting a glimmer of gold.

Now that Leda was happier with the team, she could put her attention back on the job at hand. It didn’t take her long for her to see a glimmer of gold, and she headed after it doing her best not to give away to Blake that she’d found it. If she could even the score between the seekers she would feel better about it. Luck was on her side as she managed to catch up with the ball without it flying away, and her fingers this time closed around it. She grinned to herself, no one could claim this time it wasn’t a proper catch. “2:1 Blake!” She called over her shoulder, before letting it go again

Blake looked up from the search at the sound of his own name, resisting the urge to roll his eyes when he saw Leda had caught the snitch. He grinned instead, calling back to her; "I warmed it up for ya!" before turning and flying off in the direction he thought he had seen the snitch go.
