Slytherin Quidditch Practice

Sapphire kept after the bludger, focused and intent. She took a bit more time, and when she caught up with it, she swung. Not wanting to hit anyone, she aimed instead for the hoops. Her blow connected. She grinned, watching as it soared closer, and closer, until- yes! It soared through the middle hoop. Sapph let out a whoop and nearly toppled off her broom. She flashed Leda and Oddette each a triumphant grin and took off towards the other end of the field and the other bludger.

She reached it quickly and aimed for the goal posts again, setting her sights on the lower left one. It was the farthest from her and it offered the most distance and challenge. She brought her bar around, hitting the bludger hard. She let out a delighted laugh as once again it soared through the hoops. She had found a rhythm and she liked it.

She twirled her broom around and made off for the other end of the field again, chasing the bludger that was halfway back.

In the corner or her eye Leda could see Sapphire playing with the bludgers. At least she was keeping them away from her, she certainly didn't need to be hit again herself so soon. Concentrating, the third year tried to relocate the snitch.

Sara listened to Odette, nodding, hoping she could actually score something this practice, unlike the game. Once given the signal she mounted her broom and was up in the air searching for the quaffle, not having any time to spare. When she saw an opportunity that the other chasers had the ball she quickly grabbed it and headed towards the end of the pitch where Hayden was, and with all of her might she threw the ball in but it hit the goal post as opposed to sailing right through. Sara rolled her eyes, but moved on, wondering if she had good chaser skills to begin with.

Sapph made it to the bludger and swung. She did hit it, but half a field from the hoops, her blow fell a bit short. Her aim was off anyway. She stuck out her tongue and flew off looking for the other bludger.

Leda didn't even see the other players doing their thing as she continued her hunt for the snitch. Hopefully it hadn't flown too far away since shed released it.

Sapph was going for one bludger when out of the corner of her eye she saw the other one. Turning sharply she sped to the redhead, jumping between Leda and the bludger just in time. Sapphire swung, hitting the bludger away. The force of her blow almost knocked her off her broom. She spun, straightening just in time to see the bludger she hit heading straight for Odette.

Odette watched as Sapphire flew after a bludger and hit it through the hoops. She raised her eyebrows slightly, somewhat impressed. That feeling grew as she hit it again, but it also brought some concern with it. It was good of the girl to practice in this way, but a stationary target was a lot harder to hit than a moving one. Hopefully, Sapphire would move to target the other players soon. Her focus was then drawn to Sara who tried to score. Unfortunately, she missed. Odette tried to give her an encouraging smile, though she wasn't sure if she saw it. Just as she contemplated going over to talk to her, she saw something from the corner of her eye. She turned in time to see a bludger head her way. But before it could hit her, she reacted on instinct. She hit the bludger away from herself, watching as it sailed towards Jasmine Wolfe, one of their chasers.

Leda knew it was a close call when she felt the wind from the bludger nearby, but Sapphire seemed to get there first and stop it pelting the third year. She smiled before heading off to continue to find the snitch, wondering if she would again before quidditch practise came to an end.

Sapphire sighed in relief when Odette hit the bludger from her, cussing silently when it went for the girl named Jasmine instead. She shot towards it, trying to intercept. But she was too late. The bludger shot just out of her reach and continued on it's path to the chaser.

Out of the corner of her eye Sara noticed Odette sending her an encouraging smile and just as she returned a weak one her captain was almost hit by a bludger, which would not have been a pleasant experience. It seemed as if this bludger continued switching people and now it was heading towards Jasmine. Sara blinked and shook her head, she needed to focus but if she wanted to get something out of this practice. Quickly, she grabbed the quaffle and headed straight to the hoops, using a lot of her strength to throw it in. Delighted, she watched as it sailed straight through the middle hoop, and cheered.

Sapphire hadn't given up her pursuit of the dumb bludger. She managed to catch it a moment before it would have hit Jasmine, and with a loud smack it went off towards Liam instead. Sapph threw her arms up in the air, but decided to let it go. If anyone had a chance against the stupid thing it was another beater.

Leda cheered a bit when Sara scored a goal, shocking herself at her enthusiasm. Until recently she'd not thought about Quidditch much, but the more time she was spending with this team, the more proud she was becoming.

Sapphire spotted Leda and flew towards her, swinging at a bludger that came too close. She missed and the devil ball went flying off to create more chaos. Sapph shrugged, smiling and breathing hard as she came up to the redhead.

"Having fun yet?" She asked, grinning widely.

Leda looked up as Sapphire addressed her, and while she had to admit she was a little, she still wanted to keep a calm demeanour. "I'll be having fun when we win," she added, before turning to find the golden ball.

Sapphire laughed as Leda took off looking for the ball. She had to admire the redhead. Which meant she needed to step up her game. Debating, she decided that she needed to practice on moving targets.

She took off towards the nearest bludger, aiming carefully. She slapped it with her bat, watching in satisfaction as it soared towards another beater. "Heads up!" She called, before taking off in search of the other bludger.

Rory was real bored of having to practice with such a young team, and of course he held a little resent towards the captain, but he was taking part, as he was supposed to. He flew closer to the hoops and caught the ball as it was thrown back out after the young chaser had managed to score. He began to fly at the hoops, he did need to make sure he practiced enough and impressed some scouts or well, was good enough to make the team his family had always been on.

Leda tried to concentrate on finding the snitch. It wasn't quite as intense as it had been when they'd been playing in a real match but she still wanted to train her eyes to be able to find the ball regardless of the amount of tension around her. It just helped that she didn't have to worry about anyone else at the same time.

Sapphire found that now that she was focusing on a moving target things were a bit harder. She caught up with a bludger but was too focused on where to aim she failed to hit it entirely. She sighed in exasperation and chases after the stupid death ball.

The red head continued her search for the snitch and hoped it would show itself soon.

Liam was trying to find some bludgers but Odette and that other girl were all getting them. A bludger came close to him and Liam saw a chance to hit it. He hit it but the bludger went somewhere anywhere but to someone. He sighted for a moment and tried to find others to hit people. He wanted to hit that Antonio now more than ever. But he had to hit someone else for the game.

Jasmine kicked off into the air and did a couple of warm up laps before she entered the game and chased after the quaffle with her team mates. She noticed a bludger flying straight at her and she did her best to dodge it as much as she could. Thankfully, Sapphire hit the bludger before it hit hurt and she breathed a sigh of relief. Jasmine sent Sapphire a thumbs up as thanks before she continued to fly on in an attempt to catch the quaffle.

Rory attempted to score, throwing the ball hard towards the hoops, but missing by a knife's edge which was very annoying. He reassumed position and would be a good team player until he could get the ball again and attempt to score again.

Liam was getting really annoying by this. Why didn't it worked out for him. He was confident about himself and he didn't want to start doubting about himself. But he didn't seemed to be hitting lots of bludgers. At least not to people, as it supposed to be. He kept on the look out and looked at Odette for a moment. She seemed like a natural, she was pretty good.. and uh pretty. Liam was a bit distracted by it.

Odette flew up high to survey the practice from a small distance. Leda was saved from a bludger by Sapphire, something Odette noted to keep in mind. She smiled as Sara managed to score, glad the girl seemed to be finding her confidence. Then she saw how Sapphire hit a bludger at Liam, but then she looked over at the chasers. The beaters seemed very active, and Leda was certainly working hard, but not many points were being scored. A small frown appeared on her face when Rory failed to score, hopefully a next attempt would go better.

Sapphire's new goal was proving to be a challenge- an annoying one. She tried to hit the bludger at Odette- but the girl was moving too fast and the ball swerved harmlessly in empty space. Sapphire rolled her eyes.
