Slytherin Quidditch Practice

Sapphire just couldn't seem to find her rythym again. That bludger had really taken her for a loop. Still, she had never been one to give up easily. She pressed on, sure that it wouldn't be long before she managed to work it out.

The more time passed the more frustrated Leda was becoming. She knew it was going to be tricky but it seemed much harder than Olive had ever let on, and she tried not to feel like it was her fault as she flew through the skies.

Odette found the balance between practicing herself and monitoring the others' progress a little difficult. More than once, she had caught herself simply hovering in mid-air watching the proceedings. But now she tried to focus, and flew straight at a bludger flying by. She hit it, but it didn't go int he direction she had wanted to. She grimaced as it flew to Hayden. She hoped he wouldn't assume it was intentional.

Hayden saw the bludger coming but didn't have enough time to react before it hit him in the arm. He chose to believe it hadn't been intentionally sent at him by Odette, now she was captain hopefully she was above petty revenge tactics.

Sapphire was getting frustrated. She needed to work past this, though. She thought maybe she needed a break, so she pulled up above practice again and waited a bit.

Odette chased the bludger she had hit at Hayden and tried to hit it again, just to prove to herself that she could hit it somewhere she intended. But she missed it and sighed in frustration as she watched it fly on. Hopefully one of the other beaters would be able to hit it.

Sapphire saw the bludger escape Odette, and wanting to attempt another dive and hit, she angled down and flew at the ball. She came closer than she had last time, but she still missed. She pulled up, cursing silently. Maybe she had used up all her luck today. She was also finding herself a bit more foul-mouthed than she had expected. The thought slipped from her mind as her focus returned to the bludgers. She still needed to be better if she had any hope of doing good in an actual game.

Odette glanced at her watch and noticed the time for the practice was over. It was probably for the best, her team had done well but they were tired and many of them were battered from bruises. She flew up slightly above everyone and whistled to get their attention. "Practice is now over! Great job everyone!" She said, though she was a little unsure about the chasers' performance in particular. There would be time to work on that, though. "Keep practicing like this and we'll definitely beat Gryffindor during the next match." With that, she signaled for everyone to head to the ground.
