Slytherin Quidditch Practice

Seamus was beginning to feel a little tired from all the hits and the length of the try-out. Especially as he swung for a bludger missing it an almost embarrassing amount.

 

[Celia Vuong]

Spotting @Avery Lancaster nearby, Celia smacked a bludger towards him. Maybe it would motivate him to find the snitch faster next time.

Ive didn’t get why the snitch was so difficult to spot at the moment.

 

[Celia Vuong]

Celia lobbed another bludger at Ares, but the ball swerved around him, as if it didn't want to touch the beater. Honestly, Celia couldn't blame it.

 

[Natalia Novak]

Natalia grabbed the quaffle as it was thrown back into play, flying off with it.

 

[Ivelisse Burleigh]

Ivelisse kept searching.

Celia dodged a couple of her teammates as she chased after a bludger.

 

[Avery Lancaster]

Avery winced at the next bludger hit and accelerated away to put some space between himself and the beaters. Fortunately, it seemed he’d accelerated in the right direction, quickly catching sight of the snitch again. Despite the pain from the bludger, he managed to catch up with the golden ball, and soon had his fingers clasped around it a second time.

As Celia followed the bludger, she noticed Avery suddenly accelerate and then catch the snitch. Maybe bludgers were good motivational tools.

Avery waited for the snitch to disappear before resuming.

Celia caught up with the bludger and surveyed the pitch, looking for Ares. He was pretty far away, obscured by a few of her teammates. But she did have a clear shot on @Atlas James-Cade, so Celia decided to aim for the chaser instead.

Avery flew around, keeping an eye out.

Liusaidh flew behind Natalia as she went towards the hoops

Seamus tried to hit the next bludgers towards the seeker but he just sent it in the opposite direction.

 

[Avery Lancaster]

Avery gave a cursory glance to see where everyone else was at. He hadn't been keeping up with the scoring, or much else beyond finding the snitch and trying to avoid bludgers.

Ive kept looking.

Avie continued to search around.

Seamus was fractionally too late to hit the next bludger he'd gone for.

 

[Avery Lancaster]

Avery caught sight of the snitch across the field and headed toward it.

 

[Celia Vuong]

Celia could tell as soon as her bat made contact with the bludger that it would be a bad hit. The ball spiraled away towards @Indira Khatri even though she'd been aiming for Ares.

Avery kept his eyes on the snitch, weaving past the hoops to try and keep up with it. Once he was close enough he swiped at the air, and once more, the snitch was in his grasp. He'd had a rough start to the practice, but he wondered if all he'd needed was a proper warm-up to get going. Feeling quietly pleased with himself, he let the snitch go once more.
