Zeke had a look around, mainly for any bludgers coming his way.
 
Logan didn't get why Amanita kept passing the quaffle, but he was glad to get the chance to try scoring. He grabbed it from the air and flew up to the hoops. To his annoyance, the keeper managed to block his shot. Ugh.
 
Vanity flew around and managed to hit a bludger. It hit @Sybil St. James and Vanity smiled. If she did this well at the game, Hufflepuff would be in the Hospital Wing before anyone got the snitch.
 
Gaia was absolutely DELIGHTED to block Logan's shot! She'd had to endure Mania talking about this boy enough to have a grudge! Gaia threw the quaffle back into play giving Logan a smile.
 
Amanita grabbed the quaffle when Gaia managed to block another shot. It was reassuring that no one else had scored yet, though it meant she didn't like her chances against the keeper either, taking some extra time to loop back around to the hoops.
 
Gaia watched the first year take the quaffle, hoping the girl would take her shot. :r
 
Amanita tried to bolster herself as she flew back around to the hoops, quaffle clutched tight. Sybil had already taken a bludger and Amanita was keen to sit around and take one herself if she could avoid it, the thought burning at the back of her mind causing her to speed up. But now she didn't know if she had a clear shot past Gaia. She was going to miss, definitely. Or get blocked. No way she could make that shot. No way she should try to take a losing shot.

Amanita passed again, hurriedly lobbing the quaffle at @Logan Ashworth
 
Zeke didn't really know what he was doing.
 
Amanita hung back, trying to make it look like she was positioning herself into a better spot for a pass back to her without making herself too open and risk the quaffle actually being passed back to her.
 
Gaia dangled her feet in the air, bored since nobody was taking their shot.
 
Sayuri merely examined her nails and yawned, waiting for her own chance at the quaffle.
 
Alana didn’t hit anything.
 
Since Logan was occupied by IRL sleep schedules, Amanita figured someone would probably intercept her pass or manage to steal it. She wasn't sure she liked her chances trying to fend off the older chasers if she took possession again, but maybe she could try.
 
Kanako found another bludger and...swing and a miss. This was getting frustrating. She came her to hit things and she wasn't hitting things. Ughh.
 
Amanita darted away from one of the beaters, perfectly happy to keep clear of them.
 
Sybil watched as Amanita tossed the quaffle to Logan but he was moving a bit slow so she swooped down and caught it before he could. The bludger from Vanity almost made her loose her grip but she pushed through and headed towards the hoops.
 
Kanako hit a bludger, but it didn't hit who she intended, going off and hitting the captain. Oops. Kanako gave a sheepish look.

Ignatius wondered if maybe the girls actually liked him more than he thought because he wasn't getting hit yet. Clearly that was it, he thought smugly as he kept looking for the snitch.
 
Kanako was on a roll. She hit a bludger, going straight for Ignatius. He was looking a little smug, after all.

Sybil continued to the hoops and felt a surge of pride as she finally made a goal.
 
Alana didn’t hit anything.
 
Kanako went to hit another but missed. She wasn't too bothered - she'd just hit two people, after all.
 
Sybil hung back after making her goal. She was feeling a bit better and wanted the new players to have a try too.
 
Kanako missed another but was still pleased with the two she'd done so she was still in good spirits.
