Echo wasn't surprised when she missed her second shot, watching the ball fly much too wide. Instead she just moved to fly a lap, reminding herself it would take time to be consistent.
Alana didn't love that she got hit by bludger herself, it was rather embarrassing at it was her job to stop them. Once she regained her composure, she went after one herself and hit it with a good clean contact, but it still managed to go off course and hit @Sayuri Edogawa instead of her target.
Sayuri cursed as the bludger made contact with her arm but continued to fly off, spotting Mettlestone and Zephyr from the corner of her eye and she flew with the quaffle until both were on her uninjured side. "Hey Zephyr!" she yelled as she threw the quaffle more in @Vanity Mettlestone's direction than @Echolyn Zephyr's "Catch!" She had faith the quaffle wouldn't hit the co-captain. If it did, then what was the point of having a beater co-captain anyway? And she could always blame it on the injury from the bludger. And besides, she was practicing passing. Teamwork yeah?
Echo didnt take her eyes off the ball, so as Sayuri tossed the quaffle toward the captain but called her name, the second year lowered her body to her broom and shot off in front of the older girl, grabbing the quaffle with both hands before it could fly from her grasp.
Echo ignored the commotion around her, heading straight for the hoops. Despite her best attempts however she failed to score another goal, and wondered whether she should have passed back to Sayuri instead.
Vanity yelped in outrage as Sayuri nearly threw a quaffle at her, and huffed as the new chaser nearly knocked into her too. She either had horrible aim, or this wasn't accidental. Vanity glared at the younger girl and tried to hit a bludger at her, but it went off course.
Sayuri flew towards the hoops, injured arm aching. She aimed for the hoops and had been about to throw the quaffle before a bludger went straight for her. She still let go of the quaffle and had to do a sloth maneuver but her aim had been completely off in the process. Needed more practice with that
Echo grabbed the quaffle, wondering if she'd been to harsh about Sayuri. It was brutal out here. Echo began to fly towards the hoops and hoped she wouldn't be hit by a bludger on the way.
