Vanity was pretty sure they had the best team of the school. At least, the most aggressive team. What other Quidditch team could say they had four beaters, and they easily could've had five if they hadn't gone for a different alternate for some variety. She was sure they were going to crush everyone else this year. She cared about it way more than she had expected to, though she didn't admit to it. She had started playing Quidditch purely to annoy her brother a few years ago, and here she was. Captain. She cleared her throat when everyone had arrived, waving her hand vaguely. "Just practice, yeah? Don't be too nice to each other, pretend you're playing against a real other team. If anyone gets beat up too much, we'll take a break." She said, unable to stop herself from glancing at the seeker with those words. "Alright, go."

OOCOut of Character:
No arrivals, just get started!

Echo was excited to be on the Quidditch team, and looking forward to thrashing her siblings houses with their scores. She wasted no time mounting her broom and kicking off into the air, hoping to prove herself as worth being chosen for against others during the tryouts. The second year grabbed the Quaffle, and under the Captains words as to not be too nice, did what she could to put some distance between herself and the bludgers.

Sunny was pleased to make the team again. She mounted her broom and kicked off the ground to hunt bludgers.

Vanity kicked off and followed a bludger.

Echo flew toward the hoops, trying to work out how she was going to slip past the keepers and score a goal. If the first attempt she ever had while on the team was a success, it would put her in the good books, right?

Sayuri followed the younger chaser.

Ignatius immediately set about trying to catch the snitch.

Kanako was glad she was still on a team, even as an alternate. It was where she got true joy - hitting bludgers into people with a bat. That and baking. Too different, yet equally pleasurable activities. Unfortunately, she missed the first bludger that came her way. Kanako huffed, but continued on.

Alana got things started right away and immediately hit a bludger which sailed off towards @Echolyn Zephyr. "Sorry!"

Rule 2A

Sayuri had never been much for patience and the young chaser was taking too long, so she swooped in and stole the quaffle after she got hit with a bludger.

Before Echo even had a chance to score, she was hit by a bludger. Tears welled in her eyes as pain shot through her body. By the time Sayuri came to steal the quaffle from her arms, Echo could do nothing as she was too preoccupied with checking if anything was broken.

Enoch chased behind the new chasers, letting them do whatever, knowing he'd have opportunities soon enough.

After taking a quick lap, Sayuri threw the quaffle towards the hoops only to be blocked.

Rule 2B

Sayuri stole the quaffle again and flew around the Pitch, zooming past @Vanity Mettlestone

Echo hovered near Sayuri, hoping she'd get a chance to score soon.

Sayuri threw the quaffle towards the hoops but her aim was off and she hit metal instead - quaffle bouncing back

Echo was finished watching Sayuri fail, and swooped in to grab the quaffle when the older girl didn't score, hoping she'd do better even though she was new.

Horror flew to the hoops and started to do his job.

Echo knew scoring would be hard, she was new, injured, and coming straight toward a keeper. She threw the quaffle as hard as she could, shocking herself to see it sail straight through the hoop.

Vanity huffed in annoyance as Sayuri flew past her, getting a bit too close. That girl needed to work on her steering. She tried to send a bludger her way, but it went off course and hit @Alana Cosgrove instead.

Ignatius knew somewhere deep down he'd have to leave a letter for his mother so when Sunny inevitably ended him someone would know what had happened. In the meantime, he didn't catch the snitch.
