Sixth Years, Lesson One

"Welcome back to Charms, sixth years. I hope you've all had an amazing winter holiday, I did. But, it's time to get focused on work. This is an important year for you sixth year. Today's lesson will unfortunately be brief ," He said with a flick of his wand towards the board, the chalk began to write out the outline for this year's course in the subject.

  • Incarcerous
  • Disillusionment Charm
  • Hover Charm
  • Flame Freezing Charm
  • Confringo
"As you can see the list of spells that we will be covering this year is rather short compared to previous years, however, they require much more work to master. Not to mention, they are a lot more interesting." He gave the class a smile, before continuing "I promise you, next year, in your final year at Hogwarts, we will be covering a much longer list of useful charms which includes the Patronus charm." Misha finished with a small wink to his students, knowing that some of them would be excited. He had been excited over learning to conjure a patronus. Having completed his rather brief lecture, He stated, "Alright that's all from me, if you have any questions I'll be sticking around here for a bit. And of course my office door is always open. See you all next week." Misha then proceeded to going back to standing in front of his desk in a friendly manner in case any of the students decided they did have questions for him.

~RP the lesson. Attendance post is just fine

Vanity was bored already, and she hadn't even sat down yet. She was so tired of sitting in these same classrooms with the same professors learning the same stupid stuff. She sighed as the professor told them which spells they'd learn, noting them down quickly. Then she doodled a bit around them, tuning out the professor's boring talk until the lesson was over. She got up and was one of the first to leave.

Callie walked into the charms classroom and took her usual spot in the room. She glanced up at the professor and then to the board where she was able to see the spells they’d be learning in this semester. It seemed pretty interesting really. The lesson itself wasn’t that much longer, which Callie was pleased about, she then packed up her things and headed out of the room.

Enoch walked into the charms classroom and took his usual spot in the room. He nodded and looked at the spells on the board, he was quick to get them down and then was glad when that was essentially it. The professor was then wrapping up the lesson and dismissing them. He then was able to just pack up his things and head out of the room.

Friday walked into the charms classroom and took her usual spot in the room. Her gaze moved to the professor at the front of the classroom as the man got started on what they would be doing within this lesson, within this semester. She didn’t take a note of it, not really needing to and then the lecture was wrapped up and she was able to leave the room.

Teddy was glad to be back at Hogwarts again and arrived for Charms ready to go. He took out his parchment and quill then wrote down all the spells they'd be learning this year. He was most interested in the Disillusionment Charm and thought about using it in Quidditch training one day to challenge the chasers, it was something to run past Fraser at least. Once the lesson was over, Teddy packed up his belongings and left the classroom to do something else.

Veronica’s lip curled into a smile when Professor Haden told them it was unfortunate their first lesson would be brief. He had a strange definition of unfortunate. Veronica took out a blank roll of parchment and made a list of the spells they would be learning to cast. Some of them sounded interesting. Incarcerous would have been a useful spell to know at several points during the previous year, it would also have been pretty good for duelling. Once the lesson was over, Veronica packed up the list she had made and left he classroom after being dismissed.

Marley didn't mind charms. She was always keen to try new charms and see their special uses. The girl quickly packed the things she needed for the lesson, before quickly making her way down to her charms classroom. The Hufflepuff quickly took a seat in her usual spot and then took out the things she needed for the lesson, placing them on the desk in front of her.

It wasn't long until the professor got on with the lesson. It seemed that this was only a basic introduction lesson which the Hufflepuff was grateful for if she was being honest. Marley quickly jotted down the list of the spells that were on the board as she didn't want to miss out on anything important. She also nodded her head along to what the professor was saying, showing that she was understanding the content that was being given.

It wasn't long until the lesson had come to an end, and they were dismissed. Marley packed up her things as well as tided up her area. She then says a quick and appreciative thanks and goodbye to the professor before heading out of the classroom with her friends and the rest of her classmates, excited to see what was instore and what they'd be learning this semester.

Millie walked into Professor Hayden’s classroom and settled into a seat. The professor went through the list of spells they would be learning during the school year, as mentioned it was shorter but that wasn’t a surprise as the spells they learned became harder to learn and master. Millie took notes about the spells and when the lesson was over she packed up everything and made her way out of the classroom once they had been dismissed.

Ten had to admit she hadn't actually picked up Charms since second year. By the time she'd moved to Scotland it was optional, and by the time she'd returned, the only thing she'd been interested in was Herbology. It was only now that she was older and wiser that she realised she couldn't do just Herbology its own, and if she was going to have a successful career working at the Apothecary then having some actual spell work up her sleeve would be more than a little beneficial. Feeling somewhat out of place, Ten slipped into the class near the back to take some notes, hoping she wouldn't feel too out of her depth as the year progressed.

Aura headed into the charms classroom without any real expectations this year - she had some she supposed, but since this wasn’t her OWLs or NEWTS year, she was taking it easy. Maybe a different approach over some people, but she didn’t mind all that much really - everyone had a different approach. She smiled slightly at the mention of winter holidays, hers had been quiet, but that was good, she liked it quiet because it meant no one was getting injured or hurt or whatever else sometimes happened to people. She mades notes on the spells they would be learning this year, paying particular attention both to the disillusionment charm and confringo (also the flame freezing charm since she had a thing about fire) but she quickly moved on in case someone got curious. The class finished and she packed up slowly, satisfied that she was getting things where she wanted them for now and steadfastly ignored Vanity as she walked out - by Merlin did she dislike that girl.
