Ainsley only had one red rose in her bunch to deliver, and the excitement was too much to do anything but deliver it first. All she knew about the recipient was that she played Quidditch, so the pitch seemed like a good place to go looking. She wandered towards the part of the castle she probably liked the least, keeping her eyes open as she did. "Alana?" Ainsley called out dreamily, rose and note clutched behind her back. "Alana Finch?"

Alana had taken one look around the Great Hall and done an about face, heading for the pitch to make sure she'd been given her requested times for practice. After that, she'd just stuck around the pitch, not really wanting to see everyone getting roses when she was so confused about her own relationship. So, when she heard her name, she turned with an easy smile on her face thinking nothing of it. "Yes?" she replied, walking towards the younger girl.

Ainsley beamed and hurried over, relieved to have found the person she was looking for so quickly. "Hi! I'm here to deliver a special rose for you!" She said warmly, revealing the bright red rose and its attached note, and holding them out to the older girl excitedly.
Dear Alana Finch,

Since my brother is not here to send you one.

~ Havoc Zhefarovich

The girl was enthusiastic, that was for sure, and Alana quickly discovered why as she held out a red rose. It was beautiful, but..."This has to be a mistake" she insisted, her hand slowly reaching for the flower and note anyway. She read the note slowly, rolling her eyes as she saw who it was from. "Ugh, gross" she declared even as she admired the red rose she'd received. It was then she remembered the girl. "Do yourself a favor and stay away from anyone named Zhefarovich, especially the guys. It's bad for your health" she advised the young girl, rolling her eyes again as she stuffed the note into her pocket.

Ainsley's broad smile faded as she watched the girl react to the rose. But... it had been a special red one, how could it make her so unhappy? Could it have a cruel message attached? Would someone do something so horrible? Ainsley nodded vaguely in response to the girl's advice, not sure how else to respond, and headed off to her next delivery, quietly thinking to herself that Zhefarovich sounded like a name from a storybook.
