Sara's limbs were aching. She'd gone out flying the day before, to work out what she should get people to do for which positions this year. In previous years, she'd been trying out for seeker, and she'd never really seen what the others were doing, and had never fully appreciated the work Jeremy did. Once more, she mourned the loss of their former Captain. She hoped to Merlin that she could do a good job. She was early getting up, so she had plenty of time to get ready. She pulle don her robes, and headed out to the pitch. She'd be mostly observing today. She was nervous about holding her first tryouts, so she got down to the pitch early, and set up all the equipment. They needed to win this year. They'd lost the House Cup last year, and they needed the points it would get them. She was seeker, so that place wasn't open this year, though she didn't really think that was fair. There could very easily be a new student who was better than her, but perhaps they could be back-up seeker if she were injured or something.

Once she reached the pitch, she realised that she wasn't as early as she thought, she could see students heading down from the castle. She waite duntil she thought everyone was there, and said; "Hey guys! I'm Sara." she wasn't used to having to be forceful with her peers, but becoming a prefect had changed that a bit. "Before we take to the air, I need to you guys to tell me your name and what position you're trying out for. For a warm up-I want you all to do a lap of the pitch,-try not to knock each other off your brooms." As well as a warm-up, this would help serve as an indication of how comfortable they were on a broom. "Then, I want Keepers and Chasers down the North End, Chasers, you are to take the quaffle, and take some shoots. Keepers-it is your job to try and stop these shots." She took a breathe, and indicated the box at her feet; "Beaters-I'm going to let off some bludgers, and you guys are to stop them from knocking into the rest of the team. Okay? Any questions?" she finished, with a smile. She was hoping she wouldn't have to intervene with any bludgers, but they had a good few beaters, and she was pretty confident they could handle it. "I'll be watching from down here, so get going." She gave the quaffle to the chasers, and released the bludgers as prospective players took to the sky.

This only requires one post. Post your arrival and try out. If your Character has questions, Sara will answer them. Be creative! Please post as quickly as possible. We're trying to sort this out fairly quickly.

For three years and going for his fourth, Yerik Rhys made sure to join Quidditch as much as possible. Always trying to be first during try-outs to be noticed, since being the second or third would mean that the sky isn't clear anymore. For this very day he made sure to be the first one to arrive at the pitch, his gear set and ready, his silver streak next to him. Everything was set, and as he arrived the pitch the only missing thing was their captain. He wondered who will it be, since there were a lot of rumors spreading around the school and even inside their Ravenclaw towers. Jeremy Thorne their former Headboy and Captain of the team just graduated, making them wonder who could be their replacement. It certainly isn't him, one rumor that spread said it's Sara Moon, their team seeker. He didn't thought of that as a bad idea, since she was always present during try-out and games as far as he could remember. Yerik Rhys knew they were in good hands, hopefully she can take the pressure of being the sole captain this year. It would always crossed him mind to be one, but better luck next time if ever the opportunity would be give. The Ravenclaw waited for her, seeing she was running late or was he just too early. At first she didn't noticed him, which was understandable since he waited behind a bush. No one would bother to even find him, he stood up and approached their new team captain. "Yerik Rhys Price, trying for Beater as always." he stated, loud enough for Sara to hear him. He was naturally shy but as years went by he got to develop a few things, one of them was being confided in some way.

Holding his silver streak with him, it wasn't like the one he used last year. His father decided to give him a new one in favor for his good grades this year and the house points he got. The fifth year couldn't wait to try his new broom today, hopefully it will be a blast. Once the introduction was done, he started to kick the ground and started to fly up in the air. Looking out for that bloody bludger, Yerik Rhys positioned himself and got a tight trip on his bat. Waiting for it to turn around at some point, since he didn't need to move as it's fast approaching towards him. Swish! He instantly hit the bludger with his bat and tried to follow it, since it was going to hit one of the team's chaser. Gripping tightly to his broom, he motioned himself and turned to the left. Hitting the bludger away from the player, his arms were strong as his muscles started to build up. For the past few days during his vacation, he tried his best to wake up in the morning and practice hitting the bludger with his hands and arms. Once he was done trying-out, he went down. Waiting for the other to finish, at the same time watching for their new and old members to try-out for the team.

Isaia Romanes was going to try out for beater, for Ravenclaw once more. He figured that he could do a better job this year than last because of how tired he was last year. It was the owl class last year, and he did not have to deal with that. After spending the holidays with Aphrodite, he never thought that they would be any closer than what they were now, but he was wrong. Isaia remembered getting picked on by her older sister, Alyssa, about being melted together into one if they did not separate. Isaia would not mind that at all though. It would mean that he was going to be a part-veela, and he would be prettier. Maybe he and she would share the same mind. Oh that would be something. Isaia thought that he was starting to fall in love with her. Isaia was not too sure, but he was starting to feel that. Isaia made sure that he looked good in the mirror, and he was working on finding his broom. Being a beater, one needed to have that broom. He packed his broom over his shoulder, and he started to descend down from the towers with Aphrodite on his mind. When was she never on his mind? She was probably busy doing Gryffindor things, so he did not look for her this time around, but he would after the try outs were over. However he did not really want to go to try outs. He heard that the person leading them was Sara Moon. He normally did not have an issue with her, but she seemed to have an issue with Slytherins, and he had a soft spot for everyone in the houses. He had a sibling in every one of them. Isabella was a Slytherin, Ostensia a Hufflepuff and Sergios a Gryffindor. Only one did not like Quidditch as much, and that was Ostensia.

Arriving to the pitch at last, Isaia walked up to the Prefect that led the Quidditch try outs, and he announced with a smile, "Isaia Romanes, and I am trying out for Beater." He waited for the other Ravenclaws to hurry and get here. Soon enough, once they were, he heard the instructions. The first thing that they had to do was to make one lap around the pitch. Easy enough. Isaia mounted his broom, and he took off, making one lap around the pitch and enjoying the sound of the wind going through his hair. It did not take long for that to get done and over with. Then he had to protect the teammates from the flying bludgers. Isaia took a bat with his hand, and he soared up around his teammates, his eyes looking around at everyone, and seeing that there were some bludgers, but there were not bothering with the teammates just yet. Finally there was one going after the keeper, and Isaia leaned forward on his broom. He reached out and with a powerful swing, sent the bludger in another direction. There was another Ravenclaw going for Beater, but Isaia did not feel threatened because there were two positions on the team. Isaia continued to protect his team the best that he could with the way he was, before it was soon time to stop trying out. That happened really fast, and he raised an eyebrow. Well, he thought that he was doing fine. He landed and he soon enough left the pitch, to await results from the team to see if he was beater once more.

Deme smiled excitedly when he entered the Quidditch pitch. It was the time to try out for Quidditch, and even though his frame was small, he was quite confident in his ability to play Quidditch. Admittedly, Deme didn't go so well in flying, but he had been practising his flying all through the breaks and holidays, since his adoptive father had decided to take the family on a magical retreat, it had been a lot of fun to play as a magical child, rather than a muggle one. Gripping his broom tightly in his hands, Deme walked up to the gathering of Ravenclaws, not really paying attention as to who they were, he probably didn't know who they were anyway, so why should he concern himself? Watching the captain with limited curiousity, he nodded to her instructions. "Deme Aurelious, trying out for Chaser." Deme was quite sure he wouldn't be a very good Keeper, or Beater, he wasn't big enough in his opinion to be able to knock away blugders, and he could just see himself flying in front of the hoops, trying to block Quaffles, and then being hit by one and being thrown off of his broom, now that would be great in a game. Upon hearing the first request by the captain, Deme nodded and mounted his broom, remembering flying lessons and how he'd gone a bit bananas, but luckily that wasn't going to happen this time, this broom liked him. Taking off with the other Ravenclaws that were trying out, Deme quickly made a lap around the pitch, staying rather comfortably on his broom, thanks to his practising.

Settling down onto the pitch once more, Deme grabbed a quaffle, and flew back up into the air, towards the Northend of the pitch and flew in the direction of those hoops, planning to score against the person who was Keeping at the time, throwing the quaffle, the young Ravenclaw frowned when the Keeper caught the ball and returned it to another Chaser. With a small nod, Deme waited, and once the Quaffle was back in his possession, Deme utilized the Chaser hopefuls around him, and eventually managed to score quite a few points against the other Ravenclaw, it was a good thing that they were able to worked together. After a few more attempts, and a few scores to his name, time was up and Deme returned to the pitch, watching some other people try out with some interest, and then leaving happily.

OOCOut of Character:
Hope you don't mind. Thought it would be fun :p

With the year now in full swing Jonathan found himself with some sort of newfound energy, wanting to interact more with his students. In past years he knew his students, yes, but he never took a proactive stance on all of it. Starting with the little party for the students after the Sorting Ceremony, normally he would of just let the students have their fun but this time he was making sure to attend it and get to know his students. Now he was going to do something that he hadn't gone near in the past; the Ravenclaw Quidditch try-outs. He always had faith in the Captains and co-captains to train their team and lead them to victory if they were lucky enough. He didn't intend on training them or anything of the sort but being a Seeker in his school years Quidditch always interested him.

Dressing casually he made his way down to the pitch, knowing the try-outs would already be in full swing. He had high hopes for the Quidditch team but as he got closer to the pitch he could only see a few people in the sky, it was rather disappointing but it was still early. Entering the pitch he made his way over to Sara, the Captain. "Hello Sara. How is the team looking this year so far?" he asked in a friendly tone as he stood beside the young Prefect.

All first years, and any other Ravenclaws are welcome to join the try outs! Ravenclaw just needs 3 more players!

Bryce Chamberlin thought that he would be better off playing Quidditch. He thought that he would go for Keeper. However he had brought a note with him to give to the Captain to explain everything. He just wanted to play. He carried a broom in one hand, and a note in the other. As soon as he arrived to the pitch, he could others around, and even the Head of House. Bryce looked around and he could see the Prefect, and the Captain. Bryce looked around at the other Ravenclaws that were trying out, and he could not see that many that were. That was not very good. He frowned a bit, but he approached the captain before he held out the note. He was deaf, but he was not useless. He could do anything a hearing person could go. He hoped that she would let him try out because on the note said that he was deaf, but he could read lips and easily follow directions. Once he read the directions on her lips, he nodded and he mounted his broom. Bryce made the one lap around the pitch in good timing. He let out a sigh because he did well enough, but he just didn't like talking was all. He would enjoy school more if he did not have to talk. Once he finished the lap, he went up to the hoops where he would guard. This was where he was at an advantage. Nothing could distract him at all.

Bryce looked at the chasers trying out, before he smirked. He could not wait to guard against them all, and he could not wait to prove his worth. There was one chaser that tried to score, but Bryce caught it with ease, before returning it to another chaser. He waved at the one that tried before he watched carefully. Bryce continued to block some, and then there were some that got into the goals, not that he could have helped it anyway. He wanted to just do the job right, and he thought that he did a pretty good job anyway against the other players. Bryce held the quaffle once time was up, and he lowered the broom down as he held onto the quaffle. He dismounted the broom before he dropped the quaffle. It was time for him to go anyway. He thought that he did a good job. He held the broom by his side as he waved off Professor Spenser and the captain. He hoped that he at least made the team. It would be really amazing for him.

This wasn't something Bridie ever imagined herself doing, but the Ravenclaw couldn't stop thinking about trying out when she saw it being advertised in the Common Room. For some reason, it didn't catch her attention during her previous years, but she had played a little just for fun with some of her friends. Bridie didn't think she'd be any good at it, but with training and experience, she reckoned she would improve. It was just something new that she wanted to try. Perhaps it would even give her more ideas on what she could paint. If she could memorize a certain view and angle in the air, she would be able to re-create the look on paper. The red-head didn't have a great broom either; hell, she couldn't even remember the name of it, which was incredibly bizarre as the Fourth Year usually had a fantastic memory.
Bridie took a nervous breath in as she made it to the Pitch, and approached the Captain. "Hey there, my name is Bridie Cortez, and I'll be trying out for Chaser?" Bridie said, not sure why it came out as a question. "I mean, I will be trying out for Chaser." She stated more firmly. Shaking her head, Bridie mounted her broom and took off into the air. It wasn't a terrible feeling, being in the air. It was quite freeing to be honest. After following the other chaser around with a quick lap, Bridie grabbed a Quaffle, and shot towards the Keeper. With all her might, Bridie threw the Quaffle towards the hoops, but the Keeper blocked it with ease. Huffing, Bridie caught the Quaffle as he threw it back. She moved aside and threw it to another chaser to them have a go, realizing that the Keeper was quite good. After a few shots, Bridie surprised herself by scoring a goal. She let out a quiet whoop, her confidence growing.
By the time the Try-Outs had ended, Bridie had gotten a few more goals, and was incredibly proud of herself and the rest of the team. The young girl definitely thought that Ravenclaw had a chance of winning the Quidditch games. Bridie dismounted her broom, and smiled at the Quidditch captain, hoping she got a spot.

Sara frowned. The turn out wasn't as good as usual this year. Sure, they'd lost a few great players in the ast few years; Kamaria and Jeremy were a big loss, but she'd never thought there'd be a shortage of players. They'd allowed First Years participate, which was something unheard of, but it wasn't going as well as she'd hoped. It was her first year as Captain, and she needed a full team. They'd done well last year, and she really hoped they continued to improve. At the moment, there were two First Years on the pitch and they were doig quite well. She smiled, she'd have loved to be allowed on the team in First Year. She was startled as she heard Professor Spencer's voice. She smiled slightly, feeling odd speaking to her Head of House; "It's alright Professor, we haven't had as much interest as usual, hence the First Years." she explained, reddening slightly. Jeremy never would've let this happen, she should've never thought she could do this. Still, she'd made a commitment and she needed to stick to it.

Come on guys we only need a chaser! :)

Star walked down to the quidditch pitch nervously. She couldn't believe she was actually doing this but she had promised herself she would try new things and come out of herself.Quidditch was something she had been playing for the past four years. She had done much of it in the earlier years but she had started practicing with Sara and Kate and she had actually quite enjoyed the sport. She had secretly bought her own broom over the holidays, she hadn't told anyone she was trying out.Obviously Sara was going to know first as she was the captain but Star wanted to,needed to do this. She was going to live more and she needed things to take her mind of Ryan and so on.It would be a good way to broaden her circle of friends. She wasn't sure what people actually played quidditch. She had watched the last two matches out of support for her sisters but she had secretly enjoyed the match.Observing everyone as they played, trying to see how she could improve by watching them. She had been practicing over the summer. No one knew and she doubted Sara or anyone wold be expecting her to show up.She didn't look athletic but she did lots of running meaning she was fit and she had found she was quite good at the chaser position. It was Kate's main position and by practicing with her she had improved and found out of all of the positions it was the one she liked the best.

Star walked into the pitch. She was practically sweating she was so nervous. Before walking further she took a deep breath and walked towards Sara. There weren't many people there which made her happy and sad.Happy because she might actually get a chance to be on the team and sad because she might actually have to play. She walked calmly up,Professor Spenser was there which was unusual. Finally she was in front of Sara, she cleared her throat nervously "Star Moon, trying for Chaser"She said quietly. She didn't have to say her name but she did anyway.Once they were told what to do,Star got on her broom and shouted up into the sky.All at once she felt more at ease, she liked the feeling of the wind whipping her hair.It was nice to be able to fly in public, she had never done so before.Thankfully she didn't have a fear of flights or else she wouldn't be able to play the game. She flew a lap of the pitch and then followed the other chaser. She caught the quaffle which was passed to her and flew towards the keeper, she took a shot, throwing the quaffle with all her might but the keeper blocked it.Star frowned another chaser had a go and she scored. The keeper threw the quaffle out again and Star caught it once more. She was more determined this time. She flew towards the keeper again and took a shot, this time she was successful.Star's frown turned to a grin and she silently congratulated herself. She had a few more goes scoring some more. When he feet touched the ground she was proud of herself. Not just for scoring but for actually coming out here and trying out.Even if she didn't make the team she was proud of herself for that.
