Lucy was a bit disappointed by their loss last year against Gryffindor, but she was at the same time very proud of the work her team had put in. It was refreshing to see such a strong work ethic and she was sure this year things would turn around. She smiled at those who appeared on the quidditch pitch. "Hi everyone! My name's Lucy and this here is Lucy too, and we're the co-captains of the Ravenclaw quidditch team. Welcome to those who are new, and welcome back to those who aren't. Let me know your name and what position you're trying out for then show me and Lucy what you've got! Kia kaha*!"

Another year of Quidditch was about to begin, and Lucy was buzzing with excitement. They had come so close to the cup last year, and Lucy knew with just a bit of an extra push, Ravenclaw would be walking away champions this year without question. She beamed at the assembled students as she let Lucy take the lead, nodding in agreement. "We wanna see the best you've got - we almost won last year, so this year we're looking for the team that'll walk away with the cup together. Don't forget to have fun though, we're all here because we love Quidditch, so enjoy yourself!" She said brightly, before stepping back to watch the tryouts and imagine what this year's team might wind up looking like.

Theo was ready and he was going to try out this year, even if he made it as an alternate again, he didn't mind. The Ravenclaw made his way to the Quidditch pitch and stood with the other students who were on the team or were trying out. He listened carefully to what both Lucy's had said, agreeing with everything they had said. It wasn't long before they were all able to fly up into the air.

"Theodore Harper, trying out for chaser again" Theo says happily with a smile and nod before flying into the air and quickly getting into the chaser position. Theo made sure to fly with the other chasers, trying to help them out in support if they needed, making sure to also work with them with passing the ball as well to them. Theodore had managed to get a few scores into the goals, only managing to miss some of them. Theo thought he did a decent job. It wasn't long before the try outs were over and they were back on the ground.

Audrey had, at the time, been a little sour at having been looked over as Quidditch captain. Just a little. But she couldn't deny that both Lucys did a good job and were probably better at the people management bit than she was. Also it meant that even though she didn't disagree with promoting Lilith over Savannah for that Gryffindor game, she didn't cop any heat for it. Audrey thought she'd played incredibly in that Gryffindor game, even if she did say so herself, and it certainly wasn't on her that they didn't win. Even if she did blame herself quite a bit for it at the time. But she wasn't going to run at the same level today. Audrey was a little more casual, and while she wasn't slacking off she wasn't really aiming for anyone. Hitting the people trying out too much wasn't exactly helpful, so she sent a few bludgers vaguely towards the seekers but mostly hit them away from the hopefuls. She felt generous for once.

Magne was ready for more quidditch, he had really liked being part of the team in the last season and was hoping for more. He got to the pitch and glanced at the others, waving at his dormmates before he was then able to get into the air and get to practicing.

Demi knew that this year at school needed to be different if she was going to graduate without feeling like she'd wasted her time here. Instead of focusing on other people it was time to focus on herself. One of Demi's favourite things to do was go really fast in the back of her dad's trucks, and she'd figured the best way she could replicate that was by getting more involved with quidditch.

"I want to try out for keeper," shed told the captains after seeing there was a space free on the team. She figured Lilith would be here to claim her space as seeker, and Demi liked the idea of having a job on the team that was entirely her own. She mounted her broom and headed for the hoops, bracing herself for the chasers that would try to score.

Although Demi didnt have as much experience with quidditch as other students, she did do very well when it came to maneuvering herself in tight spaces. She was fast and quick to change direction so that she could hit the quaffle away from the hoops at every opportunity. She wasn't focused on the others on the pitch, team bonding would come later. Right now Demi just wanted to prove herself competent at something.

After she'd saved a number of goals, the third year headed back down to the ground, thanking the captains and turning to watch who else would try out for the position.

There was a moment after the game where Lilith was put to play as a seeker instead of Savannah and they'd lost the game that Lilith thought she'd never play Quidditch again. She'd put so much pressure on herself that failing to catch the snitch for her team had nearly crushed her, but after her talk with Jonah and after some pondering of her own she decided she wasn't giving up just because of one bad game. She'd done good in practice, she was doing so good the captains had decided to put her up instead of their actual seeker, that had to count for something right? With that in mind Lilith had made her way to the tryouts again, determined to keep her spot in the team as a seeker. She'd never been one to back down.

"Lilith Ilves, here to try out for Seeker and prove I still go it!" The third year said, mustering the most confident smile she could. She got it, there was no doubt of it. After telling the captains the info they needed Lilith grabbed her broom and shot up to the sky in search of the snitch. She pushed the worry that her past failure might affect her chances of staying in the team or actually getting the permanent seeker spot to the side and fully focused her mind on the task. There was no gold in sight at first, which was fine the snitch was good, but Lilith would be better. After a bit of flying around the pitch her eyes darted towards a glint of gold and a small smile formed as she felt the rush of adrenaline, making a sharp turn to the snitch's direction she avoided the bludgers flying around the pitch. Her whole focus was on the golden snitch as she sped towards it, the wind felt good around her and everything else but the snitch blurred into background. As she got closer the Ravenclaw stuck out her hand, reaching for the snitch and closing her hand around it.

It felt good catching again, it felt good to know she could do it and she wanted to prove over and over again why she deserved her spot in the team. She'd keep working to make her captains proud, to make herself proud. As Lilith came down with the snitch in hand she made a soft landing in front of the captains and handed it to them. "There you go, got a gift for you!" She gave a soft smile before leaving the bane of her existence, but also the reason she loved the sport, in the hands of her captains. Hoping that she'd be given a chance again.

Maggie was a little bummed she had to tryout again, seeing as she had done okay last year. At least, she thought she did, but since the beater positions were currently occupied, the third year reminded herself it would be a couple of years of hard work to make the team, which would make it even more worth it. She would have put her time in, as her dad would say.

The blonde waited her turn and then confidently stood up in front of the Lucys. "Magdalene Grey, trying out for beater again," she said, kicking off on her broom pretty steadily. She held onto the bat, waiting for a moment before seeing the chance to hit a bludger at one of the others trying out. She swung hard, watching as it sailed into the unsuspecting player. Maggie grinned and flew around some more hitting a bludger here and there but still missing a few times, as she wasn't perfect. Once the time was up, the Ravenclaw hit the ground, giving the captains a smile and hoping that they appreciated her efforts. She wondered if she'd done enough to make the team as an alternate again.
