Ravenclaw,PracticeJackson stood on the Quidditch pitch waiting for his teammates to arrive. He wanted to get the season off to the best start possible and that involved getting a good practice in. He had laid out some school brooms for any students who didn't have their own, all he needed was his players.

Arrivals only

Alexis hurried to get ready as soon as she received news of practice. Sending a quick note to Xavier telling him she would be at the pitch just in case he was looking for her, she went down to the pitch and saw Jackson already there. "Hey! Guess I'm early.", she joked as she stood nearby, stretching her body for warm-up. She wondered when @Joshua Toubia would arrive as her best friend had been practicing with her during their spare time.

Zoe couldn't wait to get back to Quidditch. She was still furious that victory had been snatched away from them last year, and Zoe was more than ready to take to the air and hopefully earn their place as school champions again. Bat swinging by her side, Zoe beamed as she bounced over to join her teammates. "Hey guys!" She said brightly as she joined Jackson and Alexis. "Ready to get that cup back!"

Chloe was a bit nervous for her first quidditch practice, but she wanted to do well and now that she was sort of part of a group she didn’t want to let them down. Sure, she was an alternate, which slightly annoyed her considering who her father was, but since the position had been filled Chloe knew she had this year to observe, if she didn’t play. At least she got to practice with everyone else. She arrived to the pitch with her broom in hand and stood next to some older students, giving them a smile as they waited. Though she was possibly the youngest on the team the girl didn’t mind, in fact, she had even more of a reason to impress them.

Taerin was quietly excited to have made the team. Two of her older sisters had played for their houses, and now she was following in Soohyes footsteps by playing Chaser for Ravenclaw. Even if she was only an alternate, it was nice for her to be included. She made her way down to the pitch, where she joined the rest of team, and hanging around near the back she waited for the others to turn up.

Once the players had arrived Jackson summoned his broom into his hand. "Ok guys lets get started, standard practice format, I'll release the snitch and the bludgers, beaters try not to knock anyone out, we want everyone in one piece for the game, right lets go,"

Practice starts now. If anyone has any issues either not seeing their buttons or seeing the wrong ones please let me know.

Zoe listened as Jackson began the practice, bouncing a little with excitement. She was ready to get back up there and give it her all. As soon as they began she kicked off and soared into the air, bat gripped tightly as she flew towards one of the bludgers.

As soon as the captain released the bludgers, it took a minute for Chloe to take in what was happening, having never participated therefore experienced being part of actual play. She quickly took note of who else had a bat in hand before she kicked off the ground, copying the older girl as she went in search for a bludger, ready to put her beater’s bat to good use. She had to put her energy into something.

As the practise began, Taerin mounted her broom and set off into the air. She was the first chaser up and even if she was only an alternate she was going to show them exactly what she could do. She swept forward ad grabbed the Quaffle before anyone else had the chance to, and tucking it under one arm she set off for the hoops.

Jackson watched as practice got underway and began looking out for bludgers. He'd hopefully not hit any of his teammates like he had in the last game from the previous season.

Once practice started, Lars flew to the hoops Simon wasn't guarding. He hoped the chasers would mostly try to score on the other side, as Simon probably needed the practice more. Right? Lars waited nervously, wondering if his skills had gone down during the break. He hoped not, as they hadn't been much to start with.

Joshua arrives at the pitch for the team's first practice in the new school year. He grabs one of the school's broomstick and greeted the others on the team. Joshua smiles over at Alexis, clutching the broom at his side. "You want to bet how much I won't score this year? Or, how many times bludgers take you out of a game?" Joshua nervously teases his best friend, then took off to the skies. One of the alternatives took possession of the quaffle. Joshua flew near her in case she wanted to pass the leather ball over to him.

"You will score this year and I know you'll be there to catch me if I fall.", blowing her best friend a quick kiss, laughing as Alexis playfully punched him on the shoulder before taking off. She took after Taerin waiting for the quaffle to be passed with Joshua just close to her.

Seeing as no other beaters so far had hit any bludgers yet, Chloe quickly sped up and tried to catch up with the one nearest to her. One older girl - okay, so all of her teammates were older, but so what - was in possession of the quaffle. When Chloe got close enough she swung her arm back, and hit the bludger with a resounding crack, intending to use the chaser currently in possession as a target but she cursed when it narrowly missed the girl.

Shooting after one of the bludgers, Zoe swung her bat and connected sharply, but her aim had been off, and the ball flew wide of any of her teammates. Groaning slightly, Zoe turned to try and chase after the same ball from another angle.

Jackson caught a bludger in mid air with his bat and watched as it flew off and struck Alex one of his chasers. "Sorry," He raised his hand in an apology, but unfortunately bludgers tended to have minds of their own.

Chasing after the bludger, Zoe caught up to the ball from a better angle and swung hard, aiming for the chaser with the quaffle. She was pleased to see this shot connect, though she felt a twinge of the guilt she always felt hurting other people in this game.
@Taerin Kendall-Wu

Taerin managed to keep hold of the Quaffle but it wasn’t without injury. A bludger flew towards her though and collided with her arm, and she dropped the Quaffle in pain. She’d never been hit before, and it was so much worse than she knew. Tears burned in her eyes but she shook them away, preferring to get angry about it instead. The stupid girl shouldn’t have hit her at all. “Improve your aim,” she shouted across the pitch, rubbing her arm with her free hand.

Alexis winced a bludger hit Taerin but no sooner it happened when pain radiated from her leg. She already knew it was a bludger. Funny though when it was Jackson. She laughed it off and gave a thumbs up. "Nice aim. Make sure it hits them at the game.", she teased before she sped up. The gestire was more for Joshua who would be mortified when she got hit early in practice.

Taerin watched as Alexis got hit too, but failed to realise that she’d dropped the Quaffle. The fifth year flew lower in an attempt to pick it back up if her teammates didn’t want it, tucking it under her arm once more and she headed back up towards the hoops.

Chloe was sort of relieved when one of the other beaters failed to hit any of the other players. But when they did manage to hit two of the chasers Chloe felt like she should be able to do the same, despite it being the first time she was practicing on a team. When she spotted a bludger Chloe swung her bat far back and brought her arm forward, hitting the ball with as much force as she could. She watched as it went straight for the chaser but went off course and hit the captain instead. She winced but tried not to feel too bad, after all wasn’t that the point of being a beater in the game?

Joshua gave his best friend an odd look when she blew him that kiss. It was the first time she did it and he notices? Joshua's confusion turns into a smile, and though not too much of it. Alexis was hit with a bludger, as well as the others on his team. Joshua wince feeling their pain and then went after the quaffle. He took possession away from Taerin and went flying towards the hoops.

Lars winced as two chasers were hit by bludgers in a row. He made himself a bit smaller on his broom, though that wasn't what he was supposed to do as the keeper. He kept an eye out on the chaser who got the quaffle now, wondering if he would try to score on his side or on Simon's side.

Zoe was pleased with her shot, and had already looked away from the girl she had hit when she realised she was being called out to and turned back, frowning at the girl in disbelief. If she couldn't even take being hit once during practice, how was she ever planning to survive an actual game?! "GETTING HIT IS PART OF THE GAME!" Zoe called back, wondering how she had made the team with such thin skin. "YOU HAVE TO PRACTICE TAKING HITS AND CARRYING ON!" Zoe glanced at Jackson, wondering if he had noticed, before she returned her focus to the game, circling the pitch to see where she could get a good angle on a bludger.

Dios mio. Joshua heard the shouting over his shoulders and continue onwards to the hoops. He was on Simon's side as he was trying a little harder this time around to challenge himself. It went against him in his favor. Joshua took his shot and Simon stops him from scoring. "Good catch, Simon," Joshua smiles and turns back around to try and get the quaffle again.
