Ravenclaw Quidditch Practice Y51/S1

At least he wasn't the only one having trouble, pausing his search for just a moment to see how the other two seekers were doing.

Rose was on fire, or at least her arm muscles were as she approached another bludger and gave it a hard whack, this time in Maggie's direction.

Lilith x1
Hinemoa x1
Julio x1
Lucy x1
Theodore x1
Maggie x1

Lilith glanced towards Rosè who made another successful hit and smiled. She was proud of the third year and how good she’d become at the game. It was enough to let her forget the disappointment of her own failure currently.

Maggie was going after her own bludger when she felt one hit her ankle. It hurt, but not enough that it was going to slow her down. She winced and tried to shake off the pain, glad that she had managed to not spin out of control when she was hit.

He was sure he had let the snitch go again after his first catch, so where in Merlin's name had the stupid thing flown off to?

Hinemoa's strategy of staying below the action wasn't working out too well for her, so she angled her broom up again, heading back for the same level of play as her teammates.

Lucy was pleased to see her fellow beaters having plenty of luck, grinning as she watched Rosé make another hit.

Lilith considered all the reasons she'd decided to go for seeker, clearly the position was pure agony to play. Then she remembered it was agony that she enjoyed, because the feeling of a catch? Yeah she loved being a seeker and there was no denying that, just not right now.

There was still no sign of the snitch again and Julio was beginning to feel rather agitated.

After taking a moment from the bludger hit, Maggie thought about what to do next. She decided to fly near some of the seekers to see if she could defend them.

Magne caught the quaffle when it was thrown back out into play, pleased for the other chaser managing to score.

Still no snitch, Lilith was beginning to doubt it was even on this continent anymore.

Julio thought he saw something again, but huffed when he got closer and realized it was just a reflection. Again.

Maggie decided to hang out by Lilith for a few moments to see if any bludgers came near, but so far, the skies were clear.

Lilith shot Maggie an appreciative smile as the beater appeared next to her. She noted the frustrated first year seeker and flew a little closer. "You are doing great, amazing catch just keep going and don't let the golden devil discourage you with its hiding skills." She said over the wind to the boy with a soft smile. Just because she was annoyed with her own fruitless search didn't mean she wouldn't encourage the younger ones as best as she could.

Rose eyed up her teammates, wondering who she would hit next when the opportunity presented itself.

"Are we sure it hasn't flown off to a different continent at this point?" He couldn't help but grumble back, narrowing his eyes slightly as he glanced around the pitch. But no, still the snitch was nowhere to be seen.

Lilith couldn't help but chuckle when the first year echoed the very thought Lili herself had thought a little before. "I wouldn't count on it, for all we know it might be somewhere in the Americas already or maybe Europe?" She joked, scanning the skies for any sighting of the thing, to no avail. "Just keep looking, between the three of us that snitch stands no chance." Lili added before continuing her search.

When Magne approached the hoops he tossed the quaffle and happily watched it sail through the middle hoop.

There didn't seem to be any bludgers coming Lilith's way, so Maggie put some distance between herself and the seeker, trying to get closer to one of the bludgers.

Julio continued to circle around, but didn't see anything.

Still nothing. Lilith was sure the snitch had escaped the continent and she was now planning on doing the same. Not really but she almost was tempted.

Maggie wondered if professional players also had times where they couldn't seem to catch up with a bludger. They were all really far away, and she didn't necessarily want to spend her energy going after them just for the sake of hitting a bludger. So, Maggie remained on her broom hovering for a bit.

Just as he was about to give up, Julio finally spotted what he was after. He didn't hesitate, not even stopping to see if the other two seekers had seen the snitch. He leaned forward, reaching out and wrapping his fingers once more around the stupid little golden ball. "That's two!" He announced, rather loudly and proudly, holding the snitch in his hand up to almost prove like he wasn't lying. It was about time it showed itself again.
