Ravenclaw Quidditch Practice Y51/S1

Maggie hovered some more and thought about all the homework she had to do after practice. To take her mind off of it, she decided to do a loop around the pitch.

Feeling rather pleased with himself, Julio hummed as he released the snitch, allowing it to vanish out of sight again.

Rose focused on the bludger, raising her bat in anticipation but missed hitting it entirely in her excitement.

Julio had only just started searching again when once more he spotted the snitch. Before he could even blink, he'd already closed the gap and grabbing it out of the air for a third time. "Three," he offered, blinking at his closed fist for just a moment before opening his palm and letting the snitch fly off again. Maybe that one had been a fluke and he hadn't waited long enough to let it get away from him.

Maggie heard a bludger and looked to her left, seeing that it was close enough for her to chase. She sped up on her broom, bat in hand, and whacked it towards one of the chasers. @Magne Kleos

Lilith x1
Hinemoa x1
Julio x1
Lucy x1
Theodore x1
Maggie x1
Magne x1

Merlins sake the first year was on a roll, while Lilith was glad for him she couldn’t help but feel a little antsy.

The third year resumed her hunt for another bludger, tossing up whether she should go back to defending instead. At least the seekers were having a good time.

Lilith was not having a good time, with no snitch in sight and knowing the first year had already gotten it three times the prefect was losing faith in herself. She hoped she could perform better in an actual game.

When no one else went for the quaffle Magne flew forward and grabbed it.

Lili wished she had put some snacks in her pocket.

Theo quickly followed the other chaser as he had possession of the quaffle.

Letting out a deep sigh Lili threw her head back for a moment. The search was going nowhere on her part currently and it wasn't for her lack of trying.

Lucy kept an eye on her teammates as she circled the pitch, making sure everyone was playing their best. When she saw the bludger spin off after hitting Magne she flew after it and swung, groaning as her hit failed to connect.

Hinemoa was relieved that at least it wasn't only her having no luck, deciding to try her luck flying slightly higher over the pitch instead. She didn't know how high the snitch was bound to after all - could it be hiding in the clouds?

There was no chance he was losing the competiton between the seekers now. He hummed to himself as he continued searching. Maybe he could make it four times.

It wasn't really about the competition for Lilith anymore, it hadn't ever really been. It was about just doing what she loved and knew was good at but as another glimmer turned out to be just a reflection of light the doubt in her own abilities intensified in the Seeker.

Circling round, Lucy hummed softly to herself, trying to soothe her jitters. The team was doing just fine, and surely they wouldn't have any problem against Hufflepuff, when game day came.

Flying over the pitch Hinemoa's eyes widened when she thought she spotted something gold glinting below her back closer to the hoop level. She tucked in to her broom and pulled down into a steep dive, coming to an abrupt skidding stop when she realised she was just picking up the glint off the whistle around Lucy's neck. Groaning in frustration she pulled her broom back up, returning to the search.

Julio glanced between the two other seekers, imagining that they were probably getting rather annoyed with the prolonged failure. "You got this, guys," he tried to sound encouraging, though that really wasn't his forte.

Lilith turned to look at Julio who’d told her and Hinemoa they’d got this just now. She mustered an appreciative smile at the boy and nodded before turning her head back to the pitch. She had to remember there were three of them now which meant it was bound to be harder to catch it yourself because you also had to race the other ones for it. It was still frustrating when she couldn’t for the life of her even catch a proper glimpse of the snitch.

Maggie seemed to sense some frustration among others on the field and understood. She wasn't getting in as many bludger hits as she had hoped.

Julio continued to fly in circles, but it seemed as though the snitch had managed to get away and hide again. But it would show up again eventually, he was sure.

Counting to ten in both Finnish and English Lilith kept calm as her eyes ran over the pitch.
