Ravenclaw Quidditch Practice Y40 S2

Finn caught up to a bludger and swung, groaning when it flew wide of his teammates.
 
Rubbing his aching side, Sawyer kept an eye on Xiuying, glad when she went for the hoop opposite his bludger hit, making it easier to knock the quaffle aside before throwing it back out.
 
Branson caught the quaffle as it was thrown back out.
 
Valeria bolstered from her last success, tried to hit another bludger and was disappointed to miss.
 
Wobbling on, Finn clutched his broom tight as he looked for another bludger to hit.
 
Xiuying followed closely behind Branson, just in case she had the chance to steel the ball.
 
Finn flew towards another bludger and swung, swearing under his breath as the force of his bat made him almost fall off his broom. He clung tight and tried to right himself, breathing heavily with nerves.
 
Sawyer liked to think he was over the whole Finn thing by now but it was hard not to notice him wobbling across the pitch as he watched the chasers head towards Axel, hiding a smile behind a fist as he rested on his own broom far more comfortably.
 
Branson threw the ball when he was close, very disappointed when he missed.
 
Valeria didn't manage to hit anything when she tried.
 
Spotting a bludger, Finn made his way over as quickly as he could and swung, shocked when he actually managed to hit the person he had been aiming for.

Valerius continued his search for the snitch, wincing as he got hit with a bludger but trying to push on anyway.
 
Hamish continued his search.

Still a little bewildered from his success, Finn flew towards the other bludger and swung, eyes boggling as he managed to hit the captain. He didn't think he'd ever gotten two shots in a row before. He wasn't totally sure he'd even managed two shots in one practice.

Valerius tried to push past the pain and continue his search.
 
Still reeling from his good luck, Finn wasn't anticipating another breeze, almost rattling him off his broom entirely.
 
Xiuying grabbed a hold of the quaffle when it was thrown back and made her way towards the hoops.
 
Finn righted himself on his broom and flew on, heart racing with adrenaline.
 
When Xiuying was close enough to the hoops, she threw the quaffle towards the left hoop. But she completely missed.
 
Juniper was trying to keep an eye on the team when she felt a force run into her. She looked over at Finn and gave him a meager thumbs up as she tried to look back at the game.
 
Finn caught his breath as he flew on, slowly working his way in a loop around the pitch.
 
Sawyer didn't want to take credit for Xiuying's missed goal, he was fairly sure she would have gone wide with or without him in front of the hoops but it still made him feel a bit better as he threw the quaffle back out.
 
Finn flew on towards another bludger and swung, wincing as his bat wiffed straight through the empty air.
 
Sawyer resisted the urge to flinch every time he saw a beater making a swing from the corner of his eye. It played hell on his concentration and he knew he needed to be watching the chasers and trust the beaters to do their jobs (even if he was sure Juniper had it out for him just to mess with him sometimes).
