Minnie had brought the team to the pitch, for their first practice of this semester. She was rather eager for them to all get up into the air for them to actually get started on being ready for the first game. She looked to Lars and gave him a little smile as the team arrived. "Alright everyone, let's just get to it," she said, "We'll just practice till we're tired, focus on maximising your skills, pass if you have to, shoot whenever you can, hit whatever you can," she said before she motioned for them to get on their brooms and just get started.
Ravenclaw,Practice

Lars wasn't usually very competitive, but he did really want to at least win a few matches this year. He smiled at Minnie as she started practice, then took to the air and flew towards the south hoops, letting Sawyer take the north ones. He hoped today's practice would be productive.

Branson was rather nervous about playing quidditch but he arrived on the pitch and there wasn't much discussion before he was in the air. He managed to even catch the ball, though he thumbled a bit with it before getting a good grip and heading towards the hoops.

Minnie got on her broom and shot up into the air ready to find the snitch and show that she was still worthy of her position.

Finn still had no idea what he was actually doing here. He hadn't thought his tryout had been especially impressive, but apparently Odette's tutelage had done more for him than he thought. He listened carefully to the captain and took off when the practice began, hoping nobody had seen the slight wobble as he took to the sky.

Sawyer stretched out his arms as Minnie addressed the team, already imagining how sore they were going to be later before he kicked into the air. Following Lars' lead, he flew to defend the North hoops, watching as one of their new chasers, Branson, grabbed the quaffle.

Juniper was ecstatic to be back on the pitch with her teammates. While there were a few new faces, it was relatively the same, and Juniper took the air after search of bludgers.

Sawyer wasn't used some of the new chasers, so he knew he'd have to extra alert today while also getting used being back on a broom after the long break. He'd puttered around the yard at home a bit with his siblings, but nothing like real practice.

Juniper kept an eye on what the other players were doing while she dodged a bludger. She was definitely feeling the months off of practice.

Finn spotted a bludger and flew towards it, making sure he had his balance settled on his broom before letting go to swing. He was dismayed when his shot flew wide, missing any of the other players, but at least he hadn't completely messed up.

Juniper saw a bludger headed towards one of the new beaters and watched as he at least hit it away from himself. Giving him an encouraging thumbs up, she went after it to try and hit one her teammates instead.

Minnie didn't notice if any of the players were getting hit, or doing well, she was for now focusing on her task and for any sign of the snitch.

The beaters were already working hard and Sawyer found himself drifting backwards ever so slightly. He doubted the hoops would offer much protection if a bludger came his way, but at least they made him feel a bit safer.

As soon as Bran was close enough he attempted to score, but the shot went rather wide and all he could do was groan in frustration. he would get better with time he knew, but he did want to be good now.

Finn re-settled himself on his broom, flushing a little when an older girl gave him a thumbs up. He couldn't quite tell if it was mocking or sincere, so he just found his balance and flew on, watching the rest of the players for a moment.

Juniper chased after the bludger and attempted to whack it but missed. Cursing, she hovered on her broom for a moment.

Finn watched an older girl make a shot, trying to study how she flew and remember the things Odette had taught him, but it was hard to know how people moved so confidently hovering in midair.

Juniper wasn't sure why she was having a hard time catching up with bludgers today, seeing as some practices she had hit almost every teammate. Hanging out for a moment, she twirled the bat in her hand and saw a bludger buzz towards Minnie. Shooting after it, she took a hard swing, aiming for one of the chasers but ended up hitting @Lars van Houten instead.

Sawyer watched Branson closely, trying to be ready for him to the take the shot. He was distracted by Juniper tailing after a bludger towards Minnie, reacting to slowly. Luckily Branson's shot went wide. Grabbing the quaffle to throw back in, Sawyer was just glad the bludger was knocked to the other side of pitch at Lars, and not anywhere near him.

Hattie was glad to be back playing quidditch again this year. She headed up into the air when instructed and watched as the new alternate chaser grabbed the quaffle. She really wanted him to score and hoped that he would be a good new addition to the team. The teen sighed a little as his shot went wide, hoping next time that he'd be able to get it. Swiftly, Hattie took the quaffle once it was thrown back out and headed to the other side of the pitch towards Lars.

Hattie had the quaffle now and Sawyer had a bit to regain his dignity as she took the quaffle down the pitch towards Lars instead.

Finn spotted another bludger nearby and wobbled towards it, swinging his bat hard but he barely clipped the ball, sending it spinning off harmlessly in the wrong direction. For the first time, Finn was glad his oldest sister wasn't still at Hogwarts; he wouldn't have been able to handle Odette watching him play so badly.

Sawyer was watching the chasers, but he knew better now than to ignore the beaters for too long, watching curiously as their new player, Finn, took a swing at a nearby bludger.

Juniper caught up with the bludger and knocked it in the wrong direction as she watched it sail into the atmosphere.
