Audrey finally got a clear shot lined up and grinned as the bludger she hit went directly to @Nabi Mun . Between her and Monday, the Ilvermorny seeker was definitely looking worse for wear now.
Rory was frustrated that Ilvermorny had managed to score and their chaser had missed. When the quaffle was thrown back in and grabbed by an ilvermorny chaser he followed them, he'd either have a chance to steal or if they scored again he'd have a chance to get it back.
It's okay, though, because Audrey aimed her bludger at the chaser who scored, missed, and inadvertently hit the seeker again. She looked around as though she totally meant to do that, and then looked towards the referee, waiting for the inevitable time out.
i was genuinely not actually trying to hit her out of the game i'm so sorry
Reeve winced as the American seeker took a third bludger hit. "Time!" he called out, the sonorous charm doing its work. He made sure the player reached a nurse before turning his attention to the captains to see what they would do.
Zoey groaned as Nabi got hit a third time and had to be taken out of the game. They didn't have players to spare but they had a little wiggle room before they had to forfeit entirely. She sat up a bit straighter on her broom and approached the referee. "I'll be taking over as seeker." she said confidently even though she didn't feel it.
Michael did feel a bit bad about having Ilvermorny play one person down, but by the same token he was kind of annoyed at himself for playing poorly so it was evened out.
The game was looking rough, Lucy thought, as she took possession of the quaffle. She actually felt bad that a player had had to be substituted, but she supposed that was how the game was supposed to be played. She mentally shook off the invading thoughts. She had to concentrate if she wanted to get the quaffle in, and get it in she was determined to do.
Audrey sent a bludger right towards the substituted seeker, but it sailed past to the keeper @Pearl Parra instead. Well, that was just revenge for Lucy now, clearly.
Lucy wasn't in the right headspace. She was still caught up thinking about the game rather than being in the game itself. She tried to right herself as she got to the hoops, but her throw was lackluster and missed. Maybe she should've tried some diversionary tactics. Lucy huffed as she got back into play.
