Hufflepuff, Slytherin Today was the game that would decide which team was able to call themselves the quidditch champions for the remainder of the school year. Reeve knew it would be an exciting game. He arrived to the pitch and got straight to work, setting up as the stands filled around him. It was a mild day, a small breeze, cool temperatures.

Reeve went about his preparations, making sure school brooms were available for those who didn't have their own but still played. All that was left to do was wait for the teams to arrive and the captains to meet with him.

Arrivals only please.

Penelope was shivering, nerves coursing through her body as she waited for the game to start. Her hair was pinned back in a tight bun, she wasn't going to get distracted by any loose hairs. She stared up at the stands, wondering where Todd was.

Vanity was ready for this match, she wanted nothing more than to send some bludgers at the enemy. She adjusted her gloves as she waited for the game to begin.

Enoch got to the pitch ready for this, quidditch was the only thing he really cared for and he would at least give this a decent try. He glanced towards the captain ready for things to get started.

Callie loved playing quidditch and was so ready for the next match, hoping that they would win and that she wouldn't let in too many goals. She had her broom in hand and was bouncing excitedly on the balls of her feet.

After an atrocious practice, Sofi was glad to be an alt. She hoped to herself she wouldn’t be called to play as she arrived for the match against Slytherin.

It was a fair enough day for Quidditch thought Sunny who arrived for the game in full Quidditch gear even though she probably wouldn't be on the starting lineup. She gathered with the other Slytherin team members and waited for the captain to speak to them.

Jonah had been preparing for this, and yet nerves still threatened to overtake him. But he was here already dressed in Quidditch robes and ready to fly. It was a pretty day and he was going to do his best even if his heart threatened to beat out of his chest.

Sayuri didn’t know if she’d be playing today. She knew Jonah would and she lamented that for all of two seconds. They weren’t playing the same position today anyway. Which was a shame because it would have been nice to play against her brother in an official game. Maybe next year. For now, she stood there, waiting to know if she’d be sitting this one out.

Marley was absolutely pumped for this game. She believed that they got this and that they could do this! She waited along with the other players and she waited for their captain to say their bit before they were ready to play.

After the disaster that was last year's quidditch season Chase was glad his team had been doing better this year. That they'd actually won a game and even had a shot at winning the cup. This could be their redemption. His redemption, both as beater and as captain. They just had to win this first. "Alright gang, you know me.. no big speeches. Let's just do this. Focus on your task, keep an eye on your opponents. Work together as a team. Let's win this." He told his team before heading off to hand the referee his lineup.

Dominic was looking forward to the game. He gathered around with his team mates and listened to the captain's brief talk before waiting for the whistle to blow.

Ignatius was haughty and definitely not nervous or anything as he lined up with the rest of the team. He'd won them the game last time, naturally - of course he would have, he was very important and very talented - and he intended to do the same thing again. A part of him worried about what would happen if he didn't, but he did his best to put that aside and focus entirely on the captains. Not in the least because Sunny was looming, being as weird and scary as she was.

Oz had kept busy this semester preparing for OWLs and was feeling a little unprepared for quidditch. He'd just have to get out there and do his best for the team, he figured. He nodded at Chase and prepared to put in some work today.

Horror Zhefarovich figured that this would be the last game of the year. It was hard to tell which team was better. He just looked over at his and Lennox's team and shrugged, "I won't do a speech. Do whatever it takes to win. If you want to break the rules, just don't get caught by the referee." Horror figured that was good enough, right?

Once the team was announced Bailey smiled and took her seat on the bench. She'd have little to do but she was excited to hopefully see her team win.

Alana was ready to go for the final game of the season, hoping for a win and a final taste of victory before she turned her attention to exams. She gathered with her team and waited for the referee to get things underway.

Reeve gave the captains a nod, sending them back to their teams after he'd reviewed the line up cards. The referee placed the appropriate charm on himself and addressed the crowd and teams. "Today will decide the Hogwarts Quidditch champions! Slytherin, you will be keeping the northern hoops and Hufflepuff, the southern ones. Let's get into the air!"

The referee opened the game chest and released the bludgers and the snitch. The ref grabbed the quaffle and headed for his broom. A moment later he was in the air, tossing the quaffle into the sky and yelling "Game on!"

OOCOut of Character: Game notes, please read

1. Be sure to review the rules. Any questions regarding the rules should be sent to your captain(s). If they cannot answer or need additional clarity to support you, they can PM me.
2. If you have any issues seeing the score on the referee's first post or with your access to the quidditch system, please send a PM including both me and your captain(s). It may be that they've forgotten to add you to the system or may be a bigger issue.
3. You should refresh the page before you post! Someone might sneak in a post while you are working on yours and first post counts.
4. You should always be pressing a button, whichever is appropriate for your game play during your post. Doing so boosts your success rate as well as allows the timer to kick in appropriately for your teammates and opponents.
5. After a player is hit by the bludger 3x, gameplay should stop. This allows for a quicker return to game post- substitution.
6. The game is meant to be interactive, so read your fellow players posts before posting! Stick with the game from beginning to end, from kicking off the ground to touching back down! Have fun!

As soon as the whistle sounded, Jonah shot into the air, catching the quaffle and heading straight for the hoops.

Ignatius shot off like a rocket when the game started in order to search for the snitch.

Alana kicked off quickly and immediately began searching for a bludger.

Oz took to the skies and followed behind Jonah in case he needed support.

Nearing the hoops, he swerved to the right, throwing the quaffle and watching it soar through the hoops. He cheered as it went in, circling back for his next chance.

Dominic beamed as the younger Hufflepuff managed to get the first points on the board. He waited for the keeper to throw the quaffle back out.
