Reeve loved the energy at the start of any new semester. The students and staff were back from a well-needed break, and there was excitement in the air, especially when it came to Quidditch. However, today, it was quite rainy out - not the best weather for a game but not the worst he had ever seen. He pulled his hood up so his vision remained clear as he glanced around the pitch, making sure both teams were getting ready for the game.

OOCOut of Character:
Arrivals only please. I encourage all players to use the time before the game begins to refresh your memory of the rules and gameplay.
Captains: Please make sure your teams are set in the QCP prior to posting your lineup.

Maggie knew she was unlikely to play today, but she kept her spirits high, looking forward to Ravenclaw hopefully just not coming in last place. They had a good team, she thought, and they deserved to win this. Plus, she'd love to see her roommate catch the snitch. The Ravenclaw sat on the bench, waiting for the co-captains to give a pep talk to those playing.

Lilith was excited for the game, though last game the snitch had been caught from practically right under her nose the seeker was determined to make a catch today. Walking to the pitch she settled near the rest of her team, starting to stretch while waiting to see what the captains would say.

Audrey slung her bat over her shoulder, kind of wishing she had a leather jacket, sunglasses and some bubblegum to complete her look. Instead she had her quidditch robes, which she supposed would have to do. She was successfully cultivating an intimidating aura, but it wasn't translating to wins for Ravenclaw. They weren't going to be dead last though, not on her watch. She idly rolled her neck and waited for the game to begin.

Oz was at least here to see it out, for what little good that was. He certainly didn't think he'd ever touch a quaffle again after this year, but at least he'd stuck with the team for better or worse. He figured he'd try to go out on a high, maybe get lucky and score a goal. At the very least, he'd try, which was better than nothing.

Doyle took his seat on the bench and silently hoped he would be able to stay there. He still felt like he was wrapping his head around the game and while practice went smoothly, actually playing a game sounded mildly terrifying. He glanced up at the stands and all the people watching. If he could avoid making a fool out of himself today, that would be a win no matter how this game turned out.

Callie was very ready for the match, ready to have fun and hopefully block a couple of shots. She had her broom in hand and was ready, looking to the captains for wisdom before the game got underway.

Magne walked on to the pitch, ready to play. He had his broom in hand and was very carefully watching the captains. He knew this game wouldn't matter in the grand scheme of things, but he still wanted to do well.

Sofi wasn't expecting to play today but turned up ready in case she was called up. She joined her teammates and waited to see what the captains would say.

While it was a little disappointing to compete for third place, Cyrus was still excited to play. Carrying his broom, he made his way onto the pitch, taking it in for a moment. He never got used to the amount of people that watched these games, though he reminded himself they at least weren't all looking only at him. He looked at his captains, waiting for them to say something encouraging about the game.

Demi didn't think she was going to be called to play in the match that afternoon, but she turned up just in case, ready to take to the skies. It would have been nice if Ravenclaw didn't come last.

Susie was having a hard time staying optimistic after the way the last two games had gone, but she was nevertheless smiling bravely as she stepped out onto the pitch. You couldn't let the opponent know you were nervous. It was all over after that.

Jonah arrived

Lucy arrived on the pitch, eager to win the game. She waited for the rest of the team to arrive before giving a brief talk. "Alright, Ravenclaw! Let's prove to Hufflepuff we're nothing to be messed with lightly! You guys know what to do. Ravenclaw go!"

It was a weird game for Hufflepuff, both teams were out of the cup and only had the chance to beat the other to not finish bottom of the pile. It was disappointing to be in this position, she had hoped to challenge this year, but it wasn't to be. What she hoped to do was finish on a high. Once everyone arrived at the pitch she turned to her team and put on her brave face, she had to be nothing but confident to inspire it in them. "Ok guys, all the pressure is off the this game, lets just go out there and enjoy out last game, maybe kick some Ravenclae a$$ for good measure ey?"

Nox had enjoyed his time on the team so far even though he hadn't played yet. He walked onto the pitch and listened to Bailey give her speech in preparation for the game. When she was done and everyone began to take their places Nox went over to sit on the bench.

Try as she might, Lucy just couldn't pick her spirits up for this match. Ravenclaw had been doing so well, and now... she hated being on the bottom, and it was hard to put on an encouraging face for the team. She did her best to smile though, nodding along with her co-captain. "Let's show them what we're made of!"

Reeve looked at the line-ups and approved, walking towards the center of the pitch as he cast the Sonorous Charm on himself. “Ravenclaw will be guarding the northern hoops, and Hufflepuff will guard the south. Let’s have a nice, clean game, shall we?” Reeve release the snitch and beaters from their box, watching as they soared away before heading to the sky with the quaffle and tossing it into play. “Game on!”

OOCOut of Character: Game notes, please read

1. Be sure to review the rules. Any questions regarding the rules should first be addressed to your captain(s). If they cannot answer or need additional clarity to support you, they can PM me.
2. If you have any issues seeing the score on the referee's first post or with your access to the quidditch system, please send a PM including both me and your captain(s). It may be that they've forgotten to add you to the system or may be a bigger issue.
3. You should refresh the page before you post! Someone might sneak in a post while you are working on yours and first post counts.
4. You should always be pressing a button, whichever is appropriate for your game play during your post. Doing so boosts your success rate as well as allows the timer to kick in appropriately for your teammates and opponents.
5. After a player is hit by the bludger 3x, gameplay should stop. This allows for a quicker return to game post- substitution.
6. The game is meant to be interactive, so read your fellow players posts before posting! Stick with the game from beginning to end, from kicking off the ground to touching back down! Have fun!

Jonah caught the quaffle and flew to the hoops

Audrey took to the sky and looked for bludgers to hit.

Lilith got onto her broom and shot into the air in search of the snitch.

Jonah threw the quaffle into the goal.

Bailey kicked off and immediately started looking for the snitch.

Audrey wasn't having any immediate luck and was mildly disappointed. She should've knocked three people out by now (despite the game literally having just started).

Lilith flew around for a bit when her eye caught a hint of gold in the distance so she started following the glint.
