Some flurries were falling as the man prepped the field, but they thankfully were not sticking to the ground. Still it would no doubt make for an interesting game,, especially if they continued as the game began. It would be a fun game today, the two schools always came out strong and it was always an interesting game.

Reeve had already passed by each locker room to go over some general rules to play fair and have a safe game and wish both teams luck. Now, all that was left was to wait as the teams finished their final preparations. Watching the stands fill up around him, Reeve simply waited for the captains to arrive so rhe game could begin.

OOCOut of Character:
Arrivals only please. At this time, every player should familiarize themselves with the rules if they have not done so already. Captains, please be sure to complete your lineups in the cp before you post them here.

Ares was admittedly nervous for this game as he knew that he hadn't done very well during practice, but he tried not to let it get to him as he made his way to the pitch and gathered around with his team. He could do it if he just kept his focus.

Hugo was excited about the game, he was sure he would win. As long as he was put in as the starting seeker. He still worried sometimes the captain would put Amelie in instead, as she seemed to do slightly better in practices. But Hugo had proven himself in a game before, he knew he could do it. The snow was a bit of an annoyance, but Hugo hoped his goggles would help with that issue. He waited impatiently for the match to begin, taking in his surroundings.

Aramis readjusted his gloves as he'd stepped out onto the pitch. He'd finished imperviousing them right before it was time to take the field, not wanting any of the snow starting fall to mess with his grip. He scanned the sky for a moment before joining the rest of the Beauxbatons team, smiling contentedly at Hugo and the rest of the team as they got ready to play.

Abigail was ready to play. She remembered vividly how awful their last game had been against the Hogwarts team, and she hoped that this time they could pull it together and do better. Though truthfully, Abigail didn't have much trust in the captains. She tapped her foot impatiently as she waited for the match to begin, stubbornly ignoring the snow.

Gemma blew warm air into her hands to try and keep them warm until they were in the air. She hadn't thought she would need gloves so she had left them behind. Her mood continued to plummet when she realized the snow was going to make her look like a drowned rat by the end of this. She had been looking forward to this game all year and now she just wanted it to be over. Hopefully Hugo could end it quickly and she'd be able to take a few of the Americans out before it was over. Gemma griped her bat in one hand and her broom in the other as she waited for the game to start.

Micha could feel his knees wobbling as he adjusted his goggles and waited for the game to start, and he wasn't sure if it was just from the cold. The whole team was counting on him and after an awful practice he wasn't feeling great about it. He tried to take a deep breath but the cold air stung lungs making him cough. Micha eyed the Beauxbaton's team to try and figure out who their seeker was but he couldn't seem to tell them apart from the rest of them.

Mykaela was a bit stressed out about the game but tried to seem confident even tho, she had only heard about how good Beauxbatons' beaters were. And according to that, she had no chances... Tho, she still planned on doing her best, whatever, last year her school's team did the best that they could in the game against Hogwarts, they were going to make it to New Zealand again. "High five!" she popped up next to Micha and put her arm around his shoulders if he allowed her that. "You can do it! You're the best seeker ever, no way that their seeker is better than you," Mykaela tried to cheer him up because it seemed like something they all needed. Some friendly support.

They could do this, Hyun believed that. Ilvermorny had managed to beat the Beauxbatons team last time, and though they basically had a new team this time around thanks to everyone graduating, he still had faith. Not to mention they had the home-team advantage, and with the support of the rest of the school behind them, he was sure they would pull through. "Okay guys, we can do this. Just like we practiced. We've all worked hard for this. It's just a bit of snow, but that's certainly not going to stop us. We've got this." And hopefully the team was equally as confident. He gave them all one last big grin before he went to hand their team lineup over to the referee.

Gaby wasn't entirely sure whether walking onto the pitch for a game should feel different now that she was the team's captain, but she wasn't feeling anything different than the usual small amount of nerves and excitement. She was confident her team could make it through and a little cold or some snow wasn't going to change that. "Alright team," She smiled at them as they gathered together on the pitch. "I believe in you guys. Just do what you normally do and I reckon we'll be good. Let's show them what we've got aye, can't have them getting cocky over their previous win." She ended with a nod and a small grin before walking over to hand her lineup over to the referee.

Patrick wasn't worried, because this game was important for him, to prove to himself that he has not lost his sharpness and will be able to keep his previous pace in the game. However, it could not be known that again the hands would not make themselves known. Of course, there was time after the injury, but he could be sure that he would be able to play the game well and not disappoint the team. He had put on a special guard to protect his hand and really had to hope that it would help. As the second beater, Patrick was ready to show where the crayfish are wintering. The game was about to start. Listening to the captain's encouraging conversation, it helped a little to prepare himself for the game that was important to him. Patrick quietly counted on the encouragement before the game started, which he counted at the previous school and it helped, and also hoped this time to help as well. Well, we had to wait for it to start.

Yoo was ready for this game. It would be his first real game and he was sure he was going to be able to do this and they would win.

Lucas was standing with Hyun, feeling confident in their abilities and their team. He nodded as Hyun walked to the referee, smiling. "He's right. We've trained hard. We've got this." He encouraged them, running a hand through his hair and pulling it back as he turned to look up towards the stands, looking for Einar. The snow was pretty, though he was sure it would be worse to fly in. He just hoped he did well- as (co) captain of the team, he wanted to win and show off for his boyfriend.

Amelie wasn't really nervous about the outcome of this game. Either way, she would be happy. It was nice to see Hyun again, and she gave him a little smile, though she doubted he noticed it. She was just going to be benched this game, anyway, and she knew that if Hugo didn't catch it then the seeker for Ilvermorny would. There was really very little chance she would be called in. She was just happy to watch them all play.

Reeve was happy to take a look at the lineup cards he received as the flurries grew heavier. All seemed in order so he placed them in his pockets and continued quickly. Reeve cast the sonorus charm and then launched into his game intro. " Ilvermorny, you will be Keeping the North hoops. Beauxbatons, you'll be guarding the South hoops. I will expect that everyone has reviewed the rules already. Please get back to your teams, mount your brooms, and prepare to fly!"

With that Reeve opened the game chest and released the snitch. It raced away. The bludgers went off without incident, which was a pleasant surprise. Reeve grabbed the quaffle and then mounted his own broom, kicking off quickly. When he was high enough, he tossed the quaffle into the air. "Game on!" he declared.

OOCOut of Character:
1. Be sure to review the rules. Any questions regarding the rules should be sent to your captain(s). If they cannot answer, they can PM me.

2. If you have any issues seeing the score on the referee's first post or with your access to the quidditch system, please send a PM including both me and your captain(s). It may be that they've forgotten to add you to the system or may be a bigger issue.

3. Dont forget to refresh the page before you post! Someone might sneak in a post while you are working on yours and first post counts.

4. Don't forget - you should always be pressing a button, whichever is appropriate for your game play during your post. Doing so boosts your success rate as well as allows the timer to kick in appropriately for your teammates and opponents.

5. The game is meant to be interactive, so read your fellow players posts before posting! Stick with the game from beginning to end, from kicking off the ground to touching back down! Have fun!

6. As you are all in the same group and color, it would be most helpful for me if you consider including your school in your profile and/or utilizing the buttons with your school name.

Hugo shot into the air the moment the game began, scanning his surroundings for the snitch.

Abigail swooped in to grab the quaffle as soon as the game started. She grinned, she would show these French losers what a winner looked like.

Gaby shot up into the air when the game was started, chasing right after the american chaser that had managed to grab the quaffle.

Hyun hopped on his broom as the game started, flying after Abigail as she took possession of the quaffle first.

Ares reacted quickly when the game began, however not quick enough. He sighed as the Americans grabbed the quaffle first and just hoped the keeper could block the shot.

Hugo did a loop around the pitch, looking around carefully.

Abigail flew up to the Beauxbatons hoops and shot the Quaffle at the right hoop. She grinned confidently as she saw it go through.

Hugo flew near the goalposts when the Ilvermorny chaser scored. He groaned, then shot Aramis a sympathetic smile.

Gemma took to the air quickly and kept close to Hugo as she looked for a bludger to hit.

Gaby caught the quaffle when it was thrown back out after the ilvermorny chaser had scored, keen to get to the other side of the pitch.
