Eugene had pitched the idea to Sky to do some art, something simple that didn't require people to have any talent but could still do. Tiles. He had gotten boxes of plain white tiles, plain black tiles and the right sorts of paint and glue to allow people to decorate their tiles however they wanted. He had gotten so drinks and some snacks so people could just sit down and work on it as the world went by. Eugene waited until most had arrived and then smiled. "Right folks, today is simple. We are painting some tiles, and then Sky and I will be putting the tiles up over there on that wall, a lasting legacy." he said. "If you want to take the tiles feel free to, though we are pitching to put them all up, we do not have to," Eugene glanced towards Sky, giving her the opportunity to now say anything if she wanted to.

Sky was glad that eugene had come up with the idea for today's CAC meeting. she had a few ideas floating around on various notes and journals. but when she had suggested this she had thought it was a fun idea. painting tiles to make a mosaic mural on one of the walls. it seemed that Eugene had everything sorted. though she did supply a large bowl of honeydukes goodies. it seemed since she had started working there she was spending most of her money in the shop. but sweets were good for art. "Thank you all for coming. we defiantly have enough tiles for everyone to do more than one. if painting isn't your thing. then feel free to do your own thing. use the kitchen or music rooms." she said. though she hoped that people would at least have a go she knew a lot of artists and while most enjoyed experimenting with different mediums some were very set and only liked a specific form. she had always loved music best. while playing her viola was her favorite art she had, especially in recent years, started learning a greater array of instruments. and dabbled in other art forms "once you are done place your tiles on the bench over there so we can dry them and seal them before we put them up." she said gesturing to a tressle table at the side of the room which was currently empty. "enjoy" she said finishing before turning look at eugene. "this is a great idea. they will be awesome once they are done" she said before taking a seat and picking up a tile and some paint.

Valeria liked the idea of paintings tiles, she had been around tiles and art on tiles when she lived in Portugal, and was interested in doing it now. She arrived at the arts room and took a spot. when the leaders had finished speaking, she picked up a white tile and some soft blue paint and a pencil and sketched out a little what she was interested in painting onto the tile. She wanted to do well with it, given that she had decided she wanted to be an artist and go to art school, she knew she now needed to actually try at every turn.

Rosie had been very excited about the new event. She had thought about going to the jam session but really it hadn't been her cup of tea, she didn't play an instrument, so there had been little for her at it. but The tile painting, she could do that. She turned up the arts room, and picked out a black and white tiles as the leaders spoke. She wasn't sure what she'd paint – like a flower, for sure – but she wanted to decide what kind of colours to do. Rosie didn't have much artistic talent but she would still try.

Gregory was not much of an artist, but he felt safe in the arts room. So of course no matter the event he would go along. Gregory lingered at the back of the room, not wanting to get too close to other people knowing that it would end in him getting yelled at. When others had all gone for tiles Gregory went for a black one. he found a little corner for him to work in, away from others, and yet, still somehow managed in reaching for some paints across the table, caused his tile to fall off the table and smash on the ground, loudly. His heart sank immediately, frozen in place, knowing that the leaders or someone would get mad at him.

Marnie was really feeling like she was getting into her creative stride this year. Starting at Hogwarts had thrown her off a little but now she was used to the castle and her classes it was easier to focus on the really fun stuff. Like painting a bunch of tiles with the arts club. Marnie pondered for a moment before grabbing one of the black tiles and some eye-hurtingly bright paint in an assortment of colours, piling it onto the table in front of her with some selections of glitter. She was planning to got with some sort of rainbow design that flashed different colours, wand ready with a flashing paint charm, but she also really wanted to use glitter too, weighting the bottle of it thoughtfully in her hand. "Do you think it would look weird if I put non-colour changing glitter in with charmed colour-changing paint like it might be really cool you'd some fun contrast of colour sometime I bet but what if it looks really ugly too like lime green with orange glitter urgh maybe I could try to modify the paint charm to work on glitter do you know any colour-changing charms that might work on glitter like I've seen people change the colour of their clothes and stuff before I'm sure it's the same right it shouldn't be too hard..." Marnie asked Rosie who was sitting nearby, taking off the lid of the glitter bottle and flinching as some already split out in a puff of air. @Rosie Archer

Riley wasn't sure what to think of the CAC events. She loved scrapbooking, but wasn't sure if any other creative mediums suited her. She arrived at the event and listened to the leaders. Then she walked over to grab a tile from the pile. She decided to glue a photo on the tile and then she started to decorate the rest. She wasn't very crafty, but this was something she could do. She loved the legacy aspect that the tiles had.

Oz was kind of keen to make things and the arts club event didn't seem too bad. Though painting wasn't exactly something he was the best at. He grabbed a couple of tiles, wondering exactly what he could do with them. It wasn't as pliable so carving wasn't really an option. Nor did he think it would look good if he started carving into a tile. Though he suddenly heard shattering (his larger ears being both a blessing and a curse), and he blinked a couple of times as one of the other Hufflepuff boys broke his tile. That gave him an idea, and he shuffled over to the other boy, holding up his black tile in offering. "Here," he mumbled, gruffly. "Swap." He'd see if he could break his white one appropriately and glue it together to make a black and white tile. That way he didn't have to paint and he'd get to have something to focus heavily on for a while.

Art had never been Renata's forte, and although she'd tried, she'd only gone from 'completely hopeless' to 'mildly pathetic'. Sometimes you just had to accept you weren't built for things - she'd learned that when it was discovered she was tone deaf. She could keep a beat, and had learned to sort of play the drums, but she had long since accepted that she couldn't, and shouldn't, sing. And she couldn't put icing together into a shape that looked like anything other than a misshapen blob. So she probably could have not done a tile, but she did want to be part of it. The idea was really nice, making them all a part of the school even after they left. So she picked up a white tile and a couple of simple paints. She could paint something really, really simple, that even she couldn't screw up. Like a sun on a blue sky, maybe with some clouds. Nothing too complex. She smiled at both Eugene and Sky, going and sitting next to her friend. "What are you going to paint?" she asked, interested to see.

Dahlia wasn't sure if she liked the arts club or not. She'd joined because she liked drama and performing and this seemed like the closest she could get to it, but there weren't many others who were really interested in it. She supposed it wouldn't hurt to ask, but they seemed more about music and art than drama. Which were both cool, she guessed, but she was only okay at them. She could play the piano a little bit and wasn't exactly an amazing artist. It also felt distinctly uncool, though the boy in charge seemed okay, kind of cute in a probably-mostly-the-leadership-thing-talking kind of way. The girl in charge was a bit weirder. Kind of pretty, but her taste left a lot to be desired. She also saw Gregory at the tiles, and hesitated, not really sure what to do. She knew she needed to apologize to him at the very least, and she was making an appalling Gryffindor by not just braving up and doing it, but this was totally not the forum in which to do it. She was walking past a couple of older students when there was a burst of glitter, making her cough in surprise. "Hey, watch it," she grumbled, holding up her hand where flecks of glitter had somehow attached to her fingertips. Despite her hand being so far away from the bottle. How did it manage to do that?

Blanche was still a little on the fence about the arts club. Club being the problem. Art had always been hers, something she did by and for herself. Sharing the time and space with other people felt unfamiliar and uncomfortable. But it was something to do, a way to hopefully make some actual friends at Hogwarts, so she was determined to stick with it. And today's activity sounded fun at least. She listened to the club leaders, then grabbed a tile and found a quiet spot for herself to work on her things, resisting the urge to cover her ears as that loud girl from Hufflepuff prattled on. It was rattling Blanche's concentration, and she struggled to figure out what she wanted to paint.

Rosie glanced at Marnie as she joined her and listened to everything that she said. She was a little lost by the end. "Maybe one of the older folks could do it," she said, "Or maybe they would know where you could get some colour changing glitter," Rosie wasn't sure, she didn't know all that much about arts and crafts. Given how enthused Marnie seemed about different things, it was likely that she knew lots about it. Rosie was going to be painting her tile to make a flower. Marine was clearly on another creative level.
