Spin the Bottle Y41

[Louis Alcott]

When Louis had been a first year, he had heard rumors about some girl organizing a spin the bottle game for older students. For some reason, that idea had stuck by him for the last few years, and now that he was a fourth year he finally felt up to doing it. It wasn't that hard, thankfully. He had moved aside desks and chairs in an abandoned classroom, creating a large space in the middle to sit. An empty butterbeer bottle was all they needed besides that, and Louis put the one he had brought down in the middle of the room. He hoped spreading the event through word of mouth had been enough, it would be really pathetic if no one came. But surely him being the host would draw in some people? Louis could think of two or three who probably wanted to kiss him, and there were probably loads more.

He sat down on one of the desks, trying his best to look casual and relaxed as he waited for people to arrive. If no one came, he could always just run off and pretend this had never happened. It'd be easy enough to pass off as a joke if anyone asked him.

Out of Character:

Woo! Spin the bottle time. I'm doing arrivals at first, but if you join later you're free to just jump into the fun.

Some ground rules:

• Please only post with 4th-5th year students to avoid any awkward age differences.
• Please only join if you're sure you can stay active in the thread if you're spun. I also encourage keeping things OSW style to keep things moving and fun for everyone.
• I'll be using RNG to determine who the bottle lands on for my posts, but feel free to pick your target however you'd like. Just make sure you make it clear who your char is interacting with, even if IC they do not know their name. I recommend @-ing them to make sure they see it!
• To avoid accidental godmodding, please either leave room for other people's characters to back out of a kiss or discuss the outcome with the RPer OOC if possible. A kiss on the cheek is fine as well.

[Rene Tofilau]

René tried to match Louis' casual stance as he hovered, not quite able to bring himself to sit down but unwilling to show his own nerves by wandering around. "This'll be fun, aye," he asked Louis, just in case his friends had doubts about his willingness to play. René did want to play. A Lot. It was exciting and terrifying all at once. He just hoped he didn't have to go first.

Louis was grateful René was here, but couldn't resist the dig that came into his mind at his question. "It'll be fun for you for sure, probably your best bet at getting a first kiss before you graduate." He said, giving his friend a grin to show he was teasing.

[Caleb Thorne]

Caleb had half expected Louis’ talk of hosting a game of spin the bottle to be just that, talk. That was until the word really started to spread and he found himself in the abandoned classroom helping his friends clear out some space. He sat on one of the desks near Rene and let his legs swing “Aww don’t be like that. I’m sure there are lots of people who want to kiss this face.” he teased lightly and reached over to poke Rene on the cheek. He glanced at the door eagerly and waited for more people to show up. He didn't exactly want to get stuck kissing his friends, or only kissing his friends.

 

[Salem Lee]

Salem wasn't exactly sure she got the purpose of Spin the Bottle as a game. Like, she understood the premise, and it was pretty exciting, but it wasn't really a game like Quidditch or Gobstones or even Wizards Chess. Still, Salem was excited for anything that broke up the monotony, especially when her entire year had become so focused on exams and classes this year. Salem felt like she couldn't move without bumping into someone cramming for their OWLs.

She was also glad she'd managed to convince Indi to come with her, doubly so when she'd spotted Natalia and brought her along too. Stuff like this was always more fun with more people. "Hey, this is where you guys are doing the kissing game, right?" She asked, poking her head into the abandoned classroom and spotting some boys from the year below, recognizing Louis Alcott at least.

 

[Rene Tofilau]

"Hey, shut up," René groused, swatting at Caleb's hand as he poked at his face and laughing as he stumbled trying to dodge away. "Bet I could kiss more people than you," he said, crossing his arms, belatedly realizing entering a bet with Caleb and Louis, a kissing bet even, at a game of pure chance, was a mistake. Though maybe he'd have better luck with the bottle than on his own... Thankfully he was saved from speaking further as some other kids started to arrive, hopefully distracting Louis and Caleb too.

 

[Kaia Stark]

Kaia had heard that somewhere was spin the bottle game and to say the least, she knew she had to be there. She remembered how her cousins told her that it was fun last time, someone even got kicked in the face, and she knew she had to be there. Kaia entered the room in a brand new flashing outfit, excitedly smiling at everyone. "hey, Hey! Thank you host," she gave a smile to Louis and then turned to Salem. "Salem, hi! How are you?"

[Eugene Nestor]

Eugene had kissed before, but he had been not necessarily been the type of person who cared too much about kissing or about being in a relationship. he had plenty of other things to do that dating just wasn't on the forefront of his mind. Eugene hadn't so much as crushed on anyone yet. But when he heard about a spin the bottle kissing game, he had decided to go along. There wasn't any obligation with it and he knew he'd at least have a little fun with it. He walked into the room spotting one of his roommates but really no one else that he knew. He gave a smile and sat himself down. ​

 

[Valeria Iglesias]

Valeria was thrilled to hear about a kissing game. She had always thought it would be the sort of thing that only happened in muggle books or tv shows, but there was one actually happening for her. She walked into the room, spotting the other people in it and gave a little wave to Louis, whom she had already kissed. Val spotted that there were more boys than girls at this but knew it didn't mean she'd be more likely to kiss boys than girls, and though Val was only interested in boys she'd not be against kissing some girls. ​

 

[Lucie Vernier]

Lucie wasn't sure why she was about to attend a social event with people in her grade. In fact, she didn't know why she was about to take a break from studying and attend a social event at all. The last time she had heard about a spin the bottle game she refused to attend it, despite her brother asking her to come with him. She refused to attend this one too, but still she found herself making her way there, mostly because she wanted to know what all of the fuss with it was about. The teen entered the room, eyeing the people inside as she took a seat closest to the door. It would help her if she decided to slip out later. She just sat there, waiting for the game to begin.

''Can i join?'' She got first free time and walked here and hoped they friends let her to play. She was always bisy but she hoped that she can play with them today.

[Ivelisse Burleigh]

Ivelisse had heard her sister talk about a game of spin the bottle before and although it hadn't sounded like Ana had gotten much out of it Ive couldn't help but to think it might be interesting. A way to have some fun. If anything, she would much rather see what would happen unfold right in front of her eyes than having to hear it from others. Especially since she didn't have that many friends to begin with. She'd also be lying if she said she wasn't at least a little interested in the idea of kissing others. Ive casually strolled into the classroom and glanced at the students already there before taking a seat, keen to see what would happen.

 

[Natalia Novak]

Natalia had heard about the game of spin the bottle and had considered going. She had planned to just walk past, see who was in there, but then Salem had spotted her and practically dragged her along. Natalia was a little grateful, on her own she might not have dared to go. Though she wished Salem hadn't been with Indi of all people. Natalia ignored her roommate as they entered the abandoned classroom. The preson organising it was some Gryffindor, one Natalia didn't really know. She was a little sad the older students weren't here, she would have liked to see Brooke. She quietly waited for the game to start.

Louis grinned at René. "I have a head start of two." He teased, glancing at Caleb to see how he'd react to that information. But then some more people started to join, and Louis turned his attention to the new kids. He grinned at the older Gryffindor asking about the kissing game. They were cute. "Yeah, it is." He said. "Welcome." Deciding to invite older students had definitely been smart. Louis grinned at Eugene and Valeria as they joined, then waved at Elizabella. "Of course!" He said, grinning. "Glad you're here."

He decided enough people had joined, though of course more could join them during the game. He was just impatient to start. Louis hopped off the desk and cleared his throat. "Welcome everyone, the game is starting." He said with a grin. "Please sit down in a circle around here." He gestured to the empty space. He waited for a beat, then picked up the bottle. "I'll start." He said with a grin, before spinning the bottle with a dramatic flourish. He watched as it spun and spun, before finally slowing down and pointing at Eugene Nestor, one of his classmates and definitely someone Louis had thought about kissing before. He shot the Hufflepuff a grin. "How about it? Kiss on the lips?" @Eugene Nestor

Eugene watched as others arrived, he waved to Bella as she walked into the room, and he was familiar with a few of the others who'd walked in, but none too much. The hufflepuff wasn't sure what to expect but watched as the organiser, whose name he was sure was Louis, spun the bottle which settled on him. Eugene was quite surprised and glanced between the bottle and boy who'd spun it. He felt a little nervous about it, he wasn't really interested in boys but Louis was quite undeniably cute. Eugene nodded, "Course bro," he replied, he could do a kiss on the lips, doing a kiss on the cheek would be a waste.

Louis felt a little amused by Eugene calling him bro right before giving him permission to kiss him, but he forced his laugh down. He didn't want to seem nervous, he wasn't. He moved over to Eugene with an easy smile, then leaned in to kiss him firmly. He pulled away and winked at him before sitting back down in his seat. "Good start." He said, settling back down. He gestured for Eugene to continue.

[Indira Khatri]

Indi had reluctantly agreed to go with Salem to the game of spin the bottle. She didn't really see the point of kissing random classmates but she could use a break and it sounded interesting at least. But when they ran into Natalia and Salem insisted she come along her mood soured. She did her best to stare Natalia down so she would get the hint and leave but she never did. Obviously too wrapped up in her own self importance to read the room. When they arrived there were already a few students there and more quickly arrived after them and she took a seat as the game got started.

Eugene gave a little smile and also leaned in to kiss Louis as he did. He had kissed before, but this felt more sure, more firm. He was admittedly a little dazed after it. but he gave a smile to Louis as he moved away. He glanced down at the bottle and it took a second before he leaned forward and spun the bottle. It went round and round and slowed down stopping on an older student that he didn't know. "Cheek or lips?" he asked knowing that it was important to ask and let them decide.

Elizabella looked how they best friends was doing. She was sitting and hoped that she will be soon to but more was interesting with who.

"Kaia, hey!" Salem beamed, motioning the other girl to join her, Natalia, and Indi as they got settled for the game. She only just got settled, crossing her knees as Louis spun one of the younger boys she didn't know before the bottle had spun around again, pointing at her. "Oh, hey, my turn," Salem said, shuffling forward some. She'd never kissed a boy before, so lips was more interesting than just a kiss on the cheek. Indicating as such, Salem leant forward pressing her lips to the other boys for a moment. It wasn't anything like kissing Aubrey, which made Salem's heart twist, leaning back quickly and giving the boy a small smile. "I get to spin now, cool," she said, quietly more excited about spinning the bottle than the kiss she'd just had, watching it turn around the circle before landing on yet another one of the younger boys. "Lips or cheek?" She asked, mimicking the other boy. @Caleb Thorne

 

[Celia Vuong]

Celia had deliberately shown up a little late to the spin the bottle game that Louis was rumored to be hosting. She wanted a chance to scope out the crowd before participating. There was no way she was sticking around it if it was just filled with the school's biggest losers. Aside from a chance to kiss cute people, spin the bottle was a good chance to gather gossip fodder — but only if the people there were worth gossiping about.

Julia had agreed to come with her, and Celia paused at the entrance of the abandoned classroom, surveying the circle with a critical eye. "Hmm, not the most promising crowd," she whispered to Julia with a little giggle. There was a severe lack of cute strangers. But enough of her classmates and teammates had shown up that Celia knew she probably should stay if she wanted to stay up to date on the latest school drama. "Mind if we join?" she asked, shooting Louis a smirk in case he was still hung up on his bruised ego. It wasn't like he could avoid her now. Not waiting for an answer, she joined the circle.

René snorted at Louis' brag about kissing, rolling his eyes but not confident to consider trying to call Louis on it. It wouldn't surprise him if he had kissed two people already. The game got started and René awkwardly folded himself down to join the circle, trying not to boggle too obviously when Louis kissed Eugene and then Caleb got spun by one of the older girls soon after. He didn't really start to sweat until Celia showed up, resisting the urge to try and hide behind one of his friends as she moved to join the game.

Charlie had almost forgotten about this game. He hurried into the room, plopping down next to Eugene. "What did I miss?" He whispered, looking around the room and smiling at the others. @Eugene Nestor

Eugene could admit the kiss with the girl whom he didn't know was different but no less enjoyable. He had liked both kisses, the game was moving on, as Charlie joined them. He gave a little smile to his friend and leaned in. "Louis spun and got me, so we kissed, and then I spun and got that girl so we then kissed and now she's spun for Caleb,"

Caleb had moved to sit with everyone else as the game finally got started. He rolled his eyes at Louis as he spun the bottle first. His excitement dimmed a bit as the game got going and he realized that it was likely going to be very dull until someone finally landed on him. His eyebrows raised as he watched one of the older girls spin the bottle and it slowed gradually until it finally landed on him. She wouldn't have been his first pick to kiss but he didn't mind. "Lips." he said confidently and kissed her lightly. It lasted only a second and was nice. Then it was his turn and Caleb grinned as he took hold of the bottle and spun it. But his grin quickly fell when it stopped in front of Celia. She was on the bottom of the list of people he wanted to kiss in this room but he wasn't about to back down and he doubted she would either. "So what will it be?" he asked as he leaned toward her. @Celia Vuong
