Kindred Dispute

Odette's mouth dropped at the sight of the chaos that had happened in the Great Hall. She couldn't believe that their little fight had escalated this badly this quickly. She didn't even see who her pie had hit, it just went up in the mass of people throwing food around. It wasn't even just the Slytherins either. It was only a few moments before it crossed over from the Slytherin table to the Gryffindor table, and then to Ravenclaw as well. She could see Hufflepuffs hiding under the table, this was madness! Her hair was sticky and gross from the vanilla ice cream slowly melting in it. She wasn't sure what to do, but the decision was made for her when a chocolate puff hit her square in the chest, quickly followed by two sprouts that bounced off her head. She was getting out of here. Shaking her head, she started to push through the crowd on her way to the door.

Dan's day had been going fairly well, now that he'd spoken to his sister and had managed to catch up with her a little about what happened the past week and how she was doing. It was hard for him to see her often now though, considering his added responsibilities as prefect. He chattered with his twin as they entered the Great Hall, except the sight that he saw definitely wasn't one he was expecting. This early in the year? He vaguely remembered the food fight that had happened back in first year, however Dan had grown up a lot since then and he found it very unnecessary. Sure, people could have fun once in a while and was about to dismiss the entire thing - after all how much harm could food really do? - but when he approached the Slytherin table and noticed two very furious, no wait at least three furious people he could tell something was up. Daniel glanced around for any professors but seeing none, he sighed, seeing Kimmy fighting with this younger girl Dan assumed was her sister.

He watched them for a minute, squinting his eyes, before finally standing on the bench to make himself heard. "
You don't need me to take away points do you?" He said loud and clear, wondering if Charlotte was around to help him deal with this - or any other prefect for that matter. "Hey - get off the floor, you're being ridiculous," he told two students who were for some reason that was beyond his comprehension, on the ground on top of each other. What on earth? "Whoever set this off better start talking. The rest of you, clean up the mess. And if you guys don't listen, fine, Professor Styx or whoever your head of house is will deal with you." It wasn't as if Daniel had an issue with that, after all it was their choice and also their problem. This was getting way out of hand.

Kimmy clambered off the table, catching her breath. That was until her siblings slipped over the water on the floor, ending up in a heap. "Come on" She grabbed one by each hand, pulling them up. Soonkyu was quick to free herself, and began to battle her way towards the door through the crowd. As Dan approached them, she sighed once again. "Yeah well if my sister hadn't started this argument none of this would have happened." Truth be told, Kimmy was also involved in the starting of this fight, but she would never admit that straight up.

She ran a hand through her hair, at this point she'd pretty much given up trying to organise any kind of order. She still had ice cream on her hands however, and giving a small laugh at the ridiculousness of the situation, decided to wipe her index finger down the cheek of the prefect. "It's not so bad" She smiled at Dan, before turning her head towards the other table. Perhaps she was wrong.

Evelyn just wanted to enjoy her food and company of her friends. It seemed like a normal evening but it was far from that. She didn't noticed the fight starting at Slytherin table but when a blonde boy was hit with something and than started to shout Evelyn got scared. She saw food flying everywhere and there was one thing she hated, and that was getting dirty. So the blonde took her scarve with her and looked at Lucas who was ofcourse joining the food fight.
'' I don't know what you guys do. But I'm out of here.'' the blonde said to a few Gryffindors close to her. She put the scarve above her head and runned to the exit of the Great Hall. This was the worst evening ever! Someone had ruin this dinner for everyone, she was sure it was a first year and this time it wasn't Gryffindor that started something ridiculous, she heard someone saying Slytherin was the one that started. As she reached the exit she was happy nothing had hit her.

Out of nowhere chaos had erupted in the great hall and food was flying everywhere. James loved it, it was hilarious, at least until he got jelly in his face. He looked up and saw the smug face of his brother. As much as James wanted to get his brother back, he saw something far more tempting. Maddie's boyfriend. James turned to Maddie and smirked, it still felt strange that the two of them were friends and maybe pranking her boyfriend wouldn't do much for their friendship but it was too good to pass up. "Hey Mads, watch this," James grinned, but before he could, Aion was stood up pointing a bottle at him and Maddie, after some vigorous shaking he opened the cap and sprayed them. James stood up to stand in front of Maddie gettig doused by lemonade, he opened his mouth to get some of it in his mouth. "Thanks man I was thirsty," He laughed, picked up the cake from the table and threw it at Aion's face.

Well dinner time was certainly turning out to be an eventful one. Maddie hadn't experienced a food fight since the one in her first year that was started by Hemi and involved Maddie dumping a bowl of Spaghetti on James' head. She giggled at the memory, wondering if she would be able to get away with dumping food on her fellow Gryffindor's head again. She looked over to her new friend and grinned at him, her eyes full of mischief, wondering if James had the same idea. But before she could do anything, a piece of jelly hit his face and Maddie tried to stifle a giggle "oh no James! are you okay?" she snorted "some cream would really go with that jelly though, you know" she teased scooping up a piece in her hand and chucking it on top of the jelly that was still stuck to his face.

Quite unexpectedly Maddie's boyfriend Aion jumped on top of the Gryffindor table and began to shake the bottle that was in his hand. "Don't do it Aion! Don't!" she said laughing, putting her hands in front of her face to protect from the impending spray. She closed her eyes and waited to get soaked but it never happened. She opened her eyes to see the back of her Gryffindor friend, it seemed he had absorbed most of the spray and Maddie stayed relatively dry. She couldn't help but notice the drink had made James' shirt extremely clingy and she tried not to look as it practically turned see through.

She quickly looked around for something to grab to chuck at Aion in return but she didn't have to as James threw a cake at her boyfriend's face. She looked between the two of them hoping that it wouldn't escalate into anything more and at an attempt to diffuse the tension she picked up two handfuls of tomato pasta and launched them at the boys.

Aion laughed as he soaked a few students, but ultimately another boy had stepped in front of Maddie and shielded her from the blast. "What a gentleman!" He applauded James before punching the flying cake piece out the air. He'd have to do better than that. The pair had never had the pleasure of meeting but Aion had certainly heard enough about James to last a lifetime. Aion hopped off the table while dodging the flying spaghetti, grabbing somethong from the table as he past and walking around the boy. It was the first time he'd seen his girlfriend today and he was happy she was in such a good mood. "Hey" he grinned at her, wrapped an arm round her waist and planting a kiss on her cheek. No amount of pasta in his hair would stop him reaching out for her. "James I think your gonna regret that cake" he shot him a warning look, before darting towards him, opening up his other hand in which he had concealed a small strawberry pie, and proceeded to wipe it straight down the side of the Gryffindors head. With strawberry sauce left on his hand, he turned, wiping the tip of Maddies nose to leave a trace. "Don't think this gets you out of it" He winked, she was so cute and Aion was so happy she had chosen him.
