Hina was still very much asleep in the dorms after a late-night patrol.

It was a shame, Theodore thought that he would be able to play Quidditch this year. He'd seen no reason to try out for the Quidditch team since he was only here for a year and while he might generally be deemed a harbinger of chaos, he was just too competitive as well. Messing with a team's balance wouldn't affect them very nicely so he'd just have to settle for watching the games and cheering his house on. That was going to be weird. Although he did hear there was a Quidditch Club, he'd also seen no point if they weren't playing games against the house teams. Such a shame. He might miss flying a little though, which is how he found himself on the Quidditch Pitch, broom in hand. It was a quiet morning, perhaps a little too early for most students but Theo had always had more energy than most. He climbed onto his broom and kicked off, going for a lazy pace as he circled the Pitch.

Ezra hadn't been able to sleep, so he decided to take an early morning walk. He liked being out on the grounds, even if it was still pretty chilly out here. Tugging on his yellow scarf, he wandered around a bit, trying to enjoy the peaceful moment outisde without thinking of everything he needed to do. Ezra's feet took him to the Quidditch pitch and he stopped to look at it. One of his biggest regrets still was not joining the team when he was younger. This year it had just seemed silly to try out, but then again, he had talked himself out of it every year before as well. Between the towers, Ezra spotted a flying figure. Maybe a team was having a practice? He had really enjoyed watching the Hufflepuff tryouts earlier, maybe they wouldn't mind if he sat in on a practice as well? It wasn't like he'd stand out in the stands anyway. He hesitated, then headed to the pitch. But as he entered the stands, he realized it wasn't a team practicing. It was just one boy flying around. It was a new transfer, he had seen him around before and had heard some people talking about him. Much like Elio last year, Ezra envied how confident he seemed even though he was at a new school. Ezra didn't feel half as confident after seven ears. He bet this guy wouldn't be too scared to try out for his house team. Maybe he had.

Theodore didn't know how long he'd been flying around the Pitch before he noticed a lone boy on the outskirts. He didn't come near at first, waiting for what the boy would do but he seemed content to just stay there. Which was weird because don't people usually go to the Pitch to fly? He let a few more minutes pass by before he decided to fly towards the boy, he didn't look like anyone from his year, because Theo was pretty sure he already knew everyone from his year. But he also didn't look like he was that far from Theo's age. So, a Seventh Year or a Fifth Year. "Wanna fly with me? It'd be more fun than standing there, I swear," he asked, a grin on his face. He didn't know why the other boy was choosing to stand there, but hey, he was cute, and if the boy didn't have a broom of his own, Theo was sure he could fly with another person on his broom.
