The day the Hogwarts monthly came out Aminia made sure she was first to see it. As much as she'd become accustomed to waking for classes, waking for a paper wasn't something she'd adjusted to. The blonde rubbed her sleepy eyes and grabbed a copy, roaming over the words. She felt her article was dwarfed in comparison to the talent of other writers, glad her name wasn't on it so no one could tease her about her writing style. she glanced down at the interview she'd done and sighed, wishing she'd answered honestly that she had enjoyed charms when all her time wasn't focused on dancing. Glancing carefully around Mini made sure to take a second copy to send to Chaser, hoping he liked to read what she writer - after all she was proud of it and he was the only other person who got to read it nowadays. She would have to find the courage to congratulate Lennon on a job well done, but that moment wasn't now and she left quickly so as not to be spotted.

Emma Snow found herself enjoying the last year at Hogwarts New Zealand, leaving and coming back not long after her big brother's death. Then recently, her mom passed, so Emma was not exactly in the best of moods lately. But she tried to be for others. Yet, around her boyfriend, her smile was still the same, it lit up her face. Almost everything back went away. Emma finished off her breakfast and had a copy of the Hogwarts Monthly in her hands. At least Quidditch was interesting for her, since it was in her blood, she just lacked the will to play it. Her eyes read over the couples, which she smiled at the mention of her peers, before frowning when she read something about her boyfriend being with another girl. A Slytherin prefect? Emma rested it on the table and looked around to see if Tholomyes was near. What did he think about this? Surely, it did not mean just romantic couples. Emma would definitely see it as more like a brother and sister relationship between the two. That and she could have sworn she saw Lilyanna paired with another... Emma sighed and took a small sip of her pumpkin juice.

Generally speaking, Sophie wasn't a proud person. But she knew she had done well in both the articles she had written for the paper. Some people might think she was too mean or opinionated in her articles, but Lennon had never said anything bad about it. Personally, she thought it added an interesting twist to what she wrote, and maybe it even provoked discussion. Though she had to admit the rest of the paper was very good too. Caro's piece was always fun to read, and the piece about the library that Aminia girl had written wasn't even half bad. Sophie couldn't help rolling her eyes a little at Evelyn's article. So shallow. The list of couples was hardly better. But at the same time, it's what most students would want to read. Sophie picked up a few copies of the paper, maybe she would send one to her parents to show them what she had been doing.

Amber always liked reading the school paper, so when the issue came out she picked it up early. First, she looked for her sister's stories and read them. It made her feel both proud and a little exasperated. Sophie could write well, but she just had to bring her negativity into everything she wrote. It made her wonder if Sophie was putting on a front or if she was unhappy. Amber didn't know what to do about it, though. She then read the other parts of the paper, happy with the information it had. Skipping the Quidditch article, she moved to the one about fashion that Evelyn wrote. She would have to congratulate her friend for it later. The list of couples made her roll her eyes though. Of course November and Flavio were on there, how predictable. It also made her feel a little annoyed to see there were only boy-girl couples on the list. Something she may not even have noticed a few months earlier. Stella Stillinski's article was really good, and she hoped Sophie had read that one as well. Amber decided to save this issue of the paper, it would be nice to have some of Sophie's writing for later.

As Rose ate her breakfast, she read one of the copies of Hogwarts Monthly lying around. It was usually good for some entertainment, and most of the articles were funny or interesting. Though she couldn't help feeling a little annoyed at the one about the revolution as it seemed to blame Hayley for what happened. But before she could linger on that long, she saw her own name. Rose nearly choked on her cereal as she saw what the list was called, and who she was paired with. Merlin, no! It was bad enough that her friends were teasing her, now the paper was too?! She wondered who had told the people of the paper about the day in Brightstone. She would have to get to the bottom of this. Abandoning the paper and her breakfast, she went to find her friends. One of them had blabbed, and she would get her revenge.

With the semester coming to an end, Lilyanna felt as though a lot of weight was lifted off her shoulders. The girl made her way to the Great Hall like she always did in the morning to get her breakfast and sat in her usual spot at the Slytherin table. In front of her was one of the copies of the Hogwarts Monthly and the girl beamed before reaching for it, proud of the article that she had written and interested to see what everyone else had done. Her eyes flickered away from the Quidditch and Halloween article and straight to the Revolution one. She was disappointed that the Revolution didn't turn out well and frowned before turning her attention to the list of couples. When she saw her name written on one of them her face turned a bright shade of red and her embarrassment turned to anger when she saw whose name was next to it. Tholomyes and Lilyanna were definitely not dating and the girl stood up angrily from the table with the paper still in her hand before leaving her breakfast where it was and looking for Diane. She would tell Diane about it first before confronting Sam and hoped that Tholomyes' girlfriend was not going to hate her for this.

When Hayley picked up the Hogwarts Monthly, the first thing her eyes fell on was the word REVOLUTION. Before she got any further, she had to fight down a surge of panic. That first meeting had gone so appallingly badly that she still hadn't managed to summon the nerve to organise another. She forced herself to calm down, to think logically about this. If she reacted so badly every time it was brought up, she would never get anywhere. Besides, at least it was publicity. If this author had said something positive, or at least reasonable, it might even be a good thing.

Actually, this was a good start. The beginning of the article made her pause to think. Hayley had never thought of herself as particularly Slytherin-like, particularly where it came to ambition, but the article was right. Here was her ambition: to change the world. The article presented her arguments clearly, and to Hayley's surprise, raised questions that were actually legitimate criticisms, rather than the reactionary nonsense that had been yelled at the meeting. And then, and then, it began to rip into those opponents. A grin spread slowly across Hayley's face as she read the scorn heaped on the Potters and Kingsleys. Now, that was more like it. That was more akin to some things she would have liked to say. All in all, hayley thought, the article could have been better, but it could have been much, much worse.

Stella came down to have some breakfast when she spotted the stack of HM issues by the front of the table. She grabbed a copy for her own and started to skim through it. Right at the center but almost close to the bottom, was the small article she had written about mental health. Not a very detailed information section, but it did get her point across. And for the first time, in a very long time, she felt like what she had to say may actually matter to someone. And if someone did actually take her words at heart, that they would do right for their own good. Something she felt like was missing in her life, that encouragement. That means of support. Stella smiled while she read the other's articles. So many talents in just one paper, Stella was impressed overall. "Your sister, Amber..." Stella sat across from the girl, whom she got along well with. "...she very passionate about writing. I can't stop reading the Revolution article."

Amber had just folded up the paper when she heard someone speak to her from across the table, looking up, she smiled when she saw Stella Stilinksi, someone who worked on the paper she had just been reading. The girl's compliment about Sophie shouldn't have surprised her, perhaps, but it did. She had thought her sister could write well, and it made her proud that others seemed to think the same. She smiled. "She did a good job, and so did you. I loved what you wrote, it's very important." She said honestly.

Monty read every edition of the Hogwarts Monthly that was released, but this one was by far the most impressive. The creativity and enthusiasm of the students was a joy to see, and he hoped that editions to come would be so entertaining. So many students had contributed to the paper that each article had its own tone, making it only more fun to read. He laughed at Chante's comment about his hair, in no disagreement with the Hufflepuff, though slightly embarrassed that everybody might read it. Still, there were worse things to have one's hair compared to than puffskeins. Finishing his breakfast, Monty handed the paper to the next person who wanted to read it and headed off to the dungeons to get some work done.

Minerva yawned, sat down and pulled open her copy of the Hogwarts Monthly as other students about her did likewise. She reached around the paper to absently put some food on to her plate while scanning the contents. It was really full this month with all sorts but the moment she came to the article on librarians Minerva stopped in her tracks, dropped the food on to her plate and read enthusiastically. This was her dream job, to be a librarian and not just any librarian but to one day own her own magic library. With a dazed smile on her face, she read and reread the article before almost begrudgingly giving the other articles some reading time too but for the rest of that day, all she could think about were the words of the head librarian and as a result her face had a permanent smile.

Stella smiles. "Thank you. I tried something I thought I would never do, write. You know me, I still like drawing sketches and stuff, I don't know. It was something new. And it beats doing assignments all the time." She haven't given up her position on magic, but she made some effort here and there if it meant finishing school on time with the rest of the seventh years. Stella couldn't hardly wait to graduate. It felt like that day would never come with these long days of school. "By the way, you were great inspiration that day in the courtyard. Have you ever thought of being a model? Muggels would love you."

Amber nodded in understanding at Stella's statement. While the paper had never interested her personally, she could see how the activity could call to some people. Like her sister. Especially creative people, a category Stella belonged to as well. "Maybe you could do something with your designs in the paper at some point, I think that would be very interesting." She said truthfully. She enjoyed reading about fashion, and was certain Stella could add an interesting perspective on that front. The girl surprised her by asking if she had ever considered being a model, and Amber felt her eyes widen slightly at the very thought. "What? I... I haven't." She said truthfully. "I'm glad I managed to inspire you, but I don't think I'm model material." She said, feeling shy. It wasn't false modesty, she really hadn't considered that for herself. Sure, Amber liked dressing nicely and enjoyed how she looked, but a model? Girls like Evelyn and Noemie came to mind with that word. Girls who could make people stare by a single toss of their hair, girls that everyone wanted to befriend. Amber wasn't like that, and she didn't really mind much.

Flavio was not on the Hogwarts monthly team but he had always been a keen reader and interested in happenings around the school so it was only natural for him to pick up the most recent issue of the school paper and skim through it as he ate breakfast that morning. To his surprise, he was not only in one section of the paper, but three. The first mention being his prefect status and second mention being his participation in quidditch hardly surprised him as it was only standard for those things to be written about. However it was the third mention that caused him to choke on his glass of juice, surprised to see that he and November were listed on the list of ten most notable couples at number three. A blush began to spread over his cheeks as he read what was written about him and his girlfriend, bashful that it mentioned him hiding his feelings for her and embarrassed that such personal information about him was now public for the entire school to read. He liked to keep much about his personal life private, wanting to keep it separate from school especially now that he was a prefect but after the reading the article he realized that was not always possible. He was not angry at the article and simply embarrassed internally for being mentioned so often. He liked to think he was a quiet person that did not draw too much attention to himself but considering the articles this was not the case. After reading the rest of the paper, Flavio began to feel normal again as he put it down on the table and continued to eat his breakfast.
