Teddy strode out onto the pitch with a whistle around his neck, a new purchase now he was solo captain. He carried his pride and joy broomstick under his arm and waved his team over with his free arm as he walked, “Alright team! Gather round, let’s get moving,” he called, waiting until the last stragglers joined. He planted the broom upright, hands resting on the handle, “Listen up. We've got two new players on the team, welcome Vic our new chaser, and Kaysi our new alt beater. Which means William’s bumped up to starting beater. Congratulations guys and welcome to the best team at Hogwarts." He said, welcoming the new players and nodding at William, he had earned his new spot. "Now, let’s get down to business."

"Every other house wants our cup, and it’s on us to make sure it stays exactly where it belongs in the Gryffindor common room. That means training harder than ever to stay ahead of the competition and remain the best of the best."
He didn't want anyone to be under the impression that being reigning champions meant they could carry on as they had been because they'd be beat. "I want everyone up in the air, quick warm up lap and then we start. Chasers work together to score as many quaffles as possible, seekers you're in competition to catch the snitch more than the other one. Beaters, do your best to disrupt. Rose, you’re on south hoops and I'll defend the north." Without warning Teddy raised the whistle to his lips and blew it loudly. The sound was loud, much louder than even he expected. "Oops sorry. Consider that your wake up call, now up in the air everyone!"

OOCOut of Character:
Straight into practice please.

William was thrilled to be on the team and was eager to get going. He got on his broom and started flying around looking for bludgers.

Felix was pleased for Will, but absolutely on a quest to show Aroha up this year. He jumped on his broom and shot off into the sky.

Kaysi made sure to be on time for practice. She was expecting it to be tough and goes it would be fun. Giving a small wave as she was introduced to the team, Kaysi listened carefully to the captain as he spoke. She nodded as Teddy finished and went to mount her broom. She cringed at the loud noise from the whistle but didn't let it deter her from kicking off.

Kaysi flew towards a bludger, taking a swing at it but only watching it sail away and hit no one. She kept flying.

There was a little jealousy as he side-eyed the new chaser, a first year who he was pretty sure didn't have much experience with Quidditch before. And yet she had made the team first try as a starting player, whereas he had been practicing for years before his first year to not even make it until he was a second year. Seemed a bit suspicious to him, but so long as she wasn't absolutely awful and helped win the cup again, he supposed he didn't really care in the long run. And so, he was eager to get started, listening to Teddy before kicking off into the air and taking possession of the quaffle. He needed to prove himself this year and actually score some more.

Felix was going to have to be careful with a new beater around at practice, especially as he didn't know how good her aim was yet.

Teddy hurried towards the hoops when he saw Miles take possession of the quaffle.

Miles got closer to the hoops, trying to sneak the quaffle past Teddy, but frowned when the Captain blocked it.

Victoria was far more nervous for her first quidditch practice than she cared to admit or wanted to show. She tried her best to look confident and put on a smile when Teddy introduced her to the team. She was fine. Totally fine. Nothing to worry abo- Ahh! The loud sound of the whistle being blown startled her enough to make her lose focus for a second and before she knew it one of the other chasers was already up in the air and making his way towards the hoops. Oh. Vic got on her broom as quickly as she could and wobbled for a second when she was too eager to push off, quickly regaining her balance while trying to speed up. She obviously wasn't as quick as the other players yet and hadn't made it to the goals before the boy took his shot. She watched as Teddy blocked it and managed to catch the quaffle when he threw it out again.

Teddy was there just in time to make the save and watched Vic take possession, interested to see if the first year would score.

Felix didn't just want to beat Aroha this year, he wanted to impress Teddy too. He was Ten's friend mostly, but he'd been to his house over the summer too, which meant technically that made him his friend too, if being on the team wasn't enough already. Felix kept his focus on finding the snitch.

Victoria made her way to the hoops on the other side of the pitch and made her shot, but the quaffle was blocked by the keeper. At least thst meant her aim had been alright.

Felix glanced across the pitch at the first year, glad she was staying upright on her broom.

Miles swooped in when the new first year missed, heading back around to the other hoops to give Rose a chance to try and defend something.

Aroha got up into the air, ready to find the snitch. She could do it. It might not be her last year at Hogwarts, but she was just as determined as Teddy to win. The snitch remained elusive, however, as she started looking.

Ivy took to the air after Teddy blew the whistle. Flying a lap before joining the other chasers. She was a little nervous about the new first year. She didn’t seem very confident on the broom. She didn’t want to be like Veronica bitter that a young student made the team. She was going to trust the judgement and build her up. Even though she had had a lifetime of practicing in a broom before tryi bf out and making it in second year and still being shunned for being picked.
she cheered good try as she missed and then joined miles flying back to the other hoops.

Kaysi continued to fly around, really wanting to impress not only Teddy but also the rest of the team. She flew close to another bludger and tried to send it towards one of the chasers, a young first year that she thought was named Victoria but watched as it hit an older boy instead. She shrugged, happy she'd hit someone.

@Victoria Barron @Miles Flynn

Aroha still couldn't spot the snitch.

fiona flew up in the air, determined to hit a bludger. so far, no luck

Aroha kept her eye out, but no dice.

Ivy kept flying with the other chasers watching as the goal approached.
She saw a ball came out of nowhere into their cluster and hit miles are you okay? I’m here if you need to pass she called hoping that her friend was doing alright.

Aroha looked up when she heard Ivy speak, then figured that Ivy had it on lock, whatever was going on. She continued her search.

Felix winced as the first year was hit but tried to keep focused.

Aroha scowled, still not even catching a glint.

Just as he was about to shoot, the bludger came out of nowhere and knocked the quaffle right out of his hands.
