Gryffindor Quidditch Practice Y47/S1

Ivy followed the other chasers there if they needed her as they each took a shot in goal. She cheered when Joshua got it in. It was a good sign. She took the quaffle as it was thrown back into play and started flying a long the pitch.

A glimmer of gold caught Rāwhiti's eye above and he yanked the front of his broom up, gaining height rapidly, but not rapidly enough. By the time he levelled out it was gone, and he groaned in frustration.

Spotting Rāwhiti on the move again, Milo shot after him, feeling a little dizzy as they quickly gained altitude. The other seeker seemed to have lost the trail and Milo gave him a shrug as they both evened out and resumed circling.

Ivy continued flying. However she jumped as she seekers zoomed past her and awe inspiring speeds she felt herself wobble precariously close to not staying upright ”hey catch she called to the chaser nearest her as she threw the ball freeing her second hand to steady herself on the broom.

Rāwhiti sighed heavily as he tried to pull himself together, fighting the urge to fall into despair. He couldn't do this badly in the game. He had practiced so hard in the holidays.

Teddy felt sorry for the seekers, he almost said something encouraging but from him, it'd come out patronising. He stayed quiet and watched the chasers pass the quaffle to one another instead.

Miro was still in pain from being hit by a bludger, and he couldn't find another bludger to hit.

Milo lurked behind Rāwhiti, not wanting to be too obvious about his tail while still keeping any distance between them short in case Rāwhiti had another run at the snitch.

Rāwhiti could feel Milo on his tail, glad that even if he wasn't having any luck it was obvious that Milo wasn't having any either.

Fraser caught the ball as Ivy passed it to him and he continued on to the hoops.

Fraser got close to the hoops and tossed the ball, very pleased to watch it sail in.

Rāwhiti gave Fraser an encouraging thumbs up after the younger boy scored, but he was starting to feel more and more desperate. The first practice of his final year, and he was putting on the worst showing of his life.

Ivy cheered when fraiser managed to score. Things were looking up for the Gryffindor team. She took the quaffle as it was thrown back in and started to fly with it.

Rāwhiti flew lower as he carried on looking for the snitch, wondering again if maybe he had made a huge mistake and left it locked in the equipment chest. Surely not, right?

Ivy flew towards the goals. Head low focusing on where she was going. She had this. She had to. At least some stage. Even if not she was learning. Right b that was what she wanted to be in and train with the Gryffindor team. She approached the goals. Aimed. Threw the quaffle…. And didn’t score. She groaned before turning around ready to fly and support the other chasers.

Raawhiti seemed not to be having much luck so Milo decided to peel off, switching to searching near the opposite goal hoops. Maybe he could pester Teddy for a bit if he didn't spot the snitch.

Miro couldn't find a bludger to hit, and kept flying around the pitch in search of one.

Fraser caught the quaffle after it was tossed out after Ivy's attempt at scoring.

Alicia stayed close to Fraser, as he had the quaffle.

Teddy blocked the young chaser and watched as the quaffle was passed among the other players. His attention was drawn to Milo, who began drifting over to him. Teddy wondered if Milo was hinting at wanting a turn in goal.

Rāwhiti pulled gradually higher, trying a level above the hoops again to no avail.

Fraser attempted to score and failed.

Rāwhiti continued the circle he was flying, but he didn't see so much as a glimmer of the snitch.

After Fraser missed his shot Veronica grabbed the quaffle when it was thrown back into play.

Teddy defended the hoops, Veronica had the quaffle now and he did not want her to score.
