Gryffindor Quidditch Practice Y47/S1

Alicia tried to score again and failed again, she cursed in French.

Teddy easily saved the quaffle, smirking as the chaser muttered something in another language. He tossed the quaffle back into play, then flew a fast circuit around his defensive hoops to burn off some energy and was back in front of them before Raawhiti could call him out for leaving his station. Glancing around the pitch, he noticed the seekers were unusually quiet today. Normally, there'd be a cheer or some kind of commotion when they caught the snitch, but today, it seemed they were both keeping all their catches to themselves.

Santiago swung his bat but his aim was off.

Ivy was a little disappointed that fraiser didn’t score. But the number of misses did give her a bit of confidence to try again. She caught the ball as it was thrown in after Alicia had taken a shot and started to fly.

Milo cursed under his breath when Rāwhiti put on a sudden burst of speed, trying to keep up until he pulled into a sharp dive. Somethings weren't worth staying on his tail for and Milo pulled up. Hopefully he'd at least wasted some of Rāwhiti's time.

Santiago swung again and grinned as the bludger soared right towards his mark and hit Milo. @Milo Frogg

Rāwhiti couldn't help a tiny bit of satisfaction as he saw Milo take a hit, gradually coming higher to be level with the rest of the team again.

Ivy headed towards the hoops again. This time she would shoot. This time she wouldn’t chicken out. She had made it into the team. She was good. She drew closer. And tried not to pay attention to anyone except herself and the keeper and the hoops. She tried to picture Lin there instead of teddy. She drew closer and focused then threw the ball. She tried not to be disappointed when she didn’t score. She was only new after all. And a lot of the other chasers hadn’t made their shots either. It just went to show that Gryffindor had a keeper of a keeper.

Joshua grabbed a hold of the quaffle once it was thrown back to play and headed round towards the hoops.

Milo's eyes were still on Rāwhiti, only looking up just in time to take the incoming bludger to the chest. His broom spun and Milo wheezed, eyes watering as he tried to wrestle back control of his broom and his breathing. He definitely had not missed this part of seeking.

As much as he disliked the boy, Rāwhiti kept one eye on Milo after the hit to make sure he was okay to carry on. It looked like a rough one but Milo didn't seem to slow down, so Rāwhiti looked away again and focused on the snitch.

Ivy follows Joshua as he took the quaffle. In case he needed back up. Not that she suspected he would.

Rāwhiti groaned in frustration as he looked around for the snitch, wondering if he'd forgotten to release it.

Santiago was feeling a bit better with one solid hit under his belt and he started to look for another.

Ivy looked around the pitch to see how everyone else was doing. It seemed everyone was working hard. She then kept flying with the other chasers.

A flash of gold caught Rāwhiti's eye for a second and he shot forwards, but by the time he reached it it had vanished.

Miro kept trying to search for a bludger, but couldn't find one to hit.

When Josh was close enough he threw the quaffle and it sailed right through

Milo was still feeling a little queasy as he managed to right his broom, trying to put on a belated burst of speed when he spotted Raawhiti on the move. Thankfully, it seemed like a false alarm and he had a little longer to catch his breath.

Teddy dived the wrong way when Josh scored, that chaser was good at getting quaffle past him. Teddy went to retrieve the ball then threw it back out to play.

Fraser went for the quaffle after Teddy threw it back out.

Ivy cheered as Joshua managed to get the ball in. And then flew along side fraiser as he took the ball.

Teddy stayed focused on Fraser, he was going to try his best to save any attempt to score.

Alicia followed Fraser closely in case she could assist him.

Rāwhiti kept one eye on the chasers, pleased to see the teamwork and supportive play between all of them.
