Gryffindor Quidditch Practice Y45/S1

Aurora missed the next bludger she was going for.
 
Soren swung back around, throwing the ball through the hoop and smiling at the keeper.
 
Teddy returned a smile to Rāwhiti and shrugged his shoulders, "Almost had it!" Teddy wasn't about to give up, he was still determined to catch that snitch!
 
Rāwhiti gave Teddy an encouraging smile before returning to the search, flying around in hopes of finding the snitch.
 
Josh decided to give it another go and grabbed a hold of the quaffle when it was thrown back to play.
 
Teddy took to navigating his broomstick in a series of fluid circuits around the Quidditch pitch, his eyes peeled for the snitch.
 
Soren followed after the other chaser, keeping an eye on Aurora and shooting her a smile anytime he thought she was looking.
 
After a lap around the pitch, Josh made his way towards the hoops. When he was close enough, he shot the quaffle towards the left hoop but i hadn't made it through, which was disappointing.
 
Senna hadn't expected to actually be picked for the team but being on the pitch with the others felt great. It would be the best distraction from everything else, she was sure of that. Even if she couldn't help but to feel bad that Fraser hadn't made it. She knew how much he had wanted it. She flew after the other chasers and caught the quaffle when the keeper threw it back out after Josh's shot.
 
Teddy was doing his circuits for the snitch when a bludger came hurtling toward him. The bludger struck him on the side with a thud, sending him into a momentary spin. But with sheer determination and a bit of a wince, he steadied himself on his broomstick and continued his search.
 
Aurora didn't hit anything.
 
Sen circled around the pitch just so she could head back to the hoops, tossing the quaffle with perhaps a bit too much enthusiasm that caused it to hit the hoop and bounce back.
 
Teddy gritted his teeth as his side throbbed from the recent bludger impact. He didn't do well handling pain, he just wasn't used to it. However, he forced himself to stay focused on the positive thought of catching the snitch eventually.
 
Soren caught the quaffle as it bounced back into play, smiling at Senna before he started back around again.
 
Aurora missed the bludger she was going for.
 
Still no snitch in Teddy's hand!
 
Aurora was having some good luck that day as she hit another bludger and had it hit the captain dead on.

Soren scored again, and looked around to try and throw Aurora a smile. Okay, maybe he was trying a little bit to impress her, but that was half of his job now, wasn't it?
 
It had been an intense practice session. His earlier bludger hit still ached, but Teddy refused to give in. In a sudden moment, the snitch changed direction and the glint caught his eye. With a burst of speed, Teddy chased it, his hand outstretched. His fingers brushed the delicate wings of the snitch, and then, in a blur of gold, he closed his fist around it.
 
Aurora spotted that Soren managed to score and gave him a thumbs up as he caught her eye. She hadn't spotted a bludger so she could take time out to do this.
 
Pleased with his accomplishment, Teddy decided to take a brief break from seeking. He spent a while observing the rest of the team as they continued their practice.
 
Aurora missed the next bludger she was trying to hit.
 
Teddy focused back on seeking. He felt much more confident now he had one catch under his belt but one wasn't enough. He wanted another before Rāwhiti had a chance to do the same.
 
Rāwhiti was keeping a close eye on the new players, seeing how they slotted in to the team. He winced when Teddy took a hit and made sure the younger boy was alright before returning to his search. He clearly didn't have anything to worry about though, as before long Teddy had the snitch in his hand. "KA PAI, WAY TO GO!" He called out to the other seeker, giving a big thumbs up that proved his own downfall. He couldn't help a high pitched yelp as a bludger hit him in the side, a little dazed as he looked over and spotted Aurora on the other end, giving her a thumbs up too.
