Gryffindor Quidditch Practice Y45/S1

Aurora did not hit anything.

Santiago ignored Milo as he complained and kept flying looking for another bludger.

Milo had the distinct impression Santiago was ignoring, seeing as he ignored him when he'd complained about him messing up Milo's plans. So when Milo saw an opening he didn't hesitate to return the favour, grinning as he managed to aim and swing a bludger cleaning into @Santiago Torres

Joshua - 2
Teddy - 2
Santiago - 2
Genevieve - 2
Milo - 2
Senna - 2
Basquiat - 1
Aurora - 1
Rāwhiti - 1

Teddy knew the snitch was close, he could sense it, but he couldn't see it.

Milo grinned triumphantly, hoping Santiago would see his smug expression but it didn't last long as he had to duck out of the way lest he be run over by the chasers.

Aurora tried to hit a bludger and missed.

Teddy circled the pitch looking for the snitch.

Sen flew off with the quaffle.

Milo felt like maybe he was starting to get the hang of this. Or at least he wasn't nearly dropping his bat after every hit he thought smugly, swinging confidently as he sent another bludger at @Aurora Archer.

Joshua - 2
Teddy - 2
Santiago - 2
Genevieve - 2
Milo - 2
Senna - 2
Basquiat - 1
Aurora - 2
Rāwhiti - 1

Sen headed for the hoops but her shot was blocked by the keeper.

Aurora was hit by bludger just as she hit one, and she sent it right towards Soren. "Sorry!"
@Soren Gates
Joshua - 2
Teddy - 2
Santiago - 2
Genevieve - 2
Milo - 2
Senna - 2
Basquiat - 1
Aurora - 2
Rāwhiti - 1

Santaigo swung his bat and was aiming the bludger towards Rāwhiti but it went wide and hit one of the new chasers instead. @Basquiat Jackson
Joshua - 2
Teddy - 2
Santiago - 2
Genevieve - 2
Milo - 2
Senna - 2
Basquiat - 2
Aurora - 2
Rāwhiti - 1

Josh quickly got a hold of the quaffle as it was thrown back into play after Senna took her shot. Josh then circled around the pitch towards the hoops

Evie managed to block the next two shots, despite just being hit by a bludger again. She held her arm where she was hit as she kept an eye on Joshua with the quaffle.

Rāwhiti's search for the snitch was interrupted by another bludger, a loud cry escaping him as it hit one of his older bruises. Looking around at how many hits his teammates were taking, Rāwhiti made a quick call. "ALRIGHT, TIME OUT!" He called, blowing the whistle he wore. "Everyone take five, get some salve on those bruises. Ka pai beaters - keep up that pace in the games and I won't even need to catch the snitch." He added with a laugh, before heading to the ground. He made sure everyone had some water and got their bruises seen to before returning them to the sky, tossing the quaffle back to Josh. "Alright, back at it!" He yelled, with another blow of the whistle.

((All bludger counts are reset to 0, play resumes from the same place))

Milo didn't want to look like a wimp but he was relieved when Rāwhiti called for a timeout, gladly taking a breather and stretching out his aching muscles. He might have drank a bit too much water, feeling sloshy as he got back into the air, but he was still decided better than he had been.

Santiago swung but missed.

Feeling better, Milo tried to decide if he was going to keep focusing on trying to get Teddy or switch to his new found beater rival in Santiago.

Josh was relieved with a small break. He quickly drank some water as well as checked his bruises from the hits. It wasn't long before they were up in the air and Josh quickly got a hold of the quaffle that was thrown back at him from Rāwhiti. Josh circled around the pitch again, heading towards the hoops.

Bas was extremely relieved for a break after he was hit again with a bludger this time to his shoulder. He had a few sips of water, then got back in the air after they were called back into play. He flew nearby Josh. In an actual game he'd be far more likely to pass between the chasers on his team but this felt like it was every chaser for themselves.

As satisfying as it would be to hit Santiago first after the break, Milo decided he should probably get in more practice hitting seekers, tailing after Teddy as the team got back into the air.

When Josh threw the quaffle towards the hoops, he had missed again. Disappointing...

Basquiat got the quaffle after Josh had missed and began to fly towards the other hoops. He had to admit he was getting a little tired as he had never played an actual game of Quidditch before.

Milo was struggling between keeping up with the seekers and catching a bludger at the same time. How did anyone do this without pure luck on their side?
