While Isaiah had always enjoyed quidditch he'd be lying if he said his enjoyment of the sport hadn't grown ever so slightly since their win against Ravenclaw. He couldn't specifically remember when the last time was Gryffindor had been up for the cup, but he had looked into when they had lost won the cup. Year 32. Gryffindor had last won the cup about eleven years ago and he just knew this was going to be their year. The year to break whatever curse had been placed on their team. After all, if Slytherin could lose was it so bold to think that they could actually win?

The weather for practice was more than agreeable, almost as if the sun was smiling down on them. Even if it could get a little warm. Luckily, there was a pleasant breeze to accompany the warm rays of sunlight every now and then. Isaiah had arrived at the pitch early to make sure everything was ready before enjoying the sun for a minute as he waited for his team to arrive. "Sup guys!" He grinned at them when they had all gathered in front of him. "I don't want to say too much or jinx anything but I honestly believe we've got a shot at the cup this year. So if you weren't motivated before I sure hope you are now." Zay added before clapping his hands together, feeling like being a captain had definitely helped him become more mature. "Chasers, you'll be playing in teams. Zephryn and Louis versus Joshua and Soren. Don't be afraid to practice stealing that quaffle. We've only got one keeper though so make sure to at least take a lap around the pitch before heading for the hoops, give Genevieve a chance to breathe. Tim, Aurora, let's not hold back alright? Hufflepuff might have one relatively new beater but I doubt their captain will hold back during the game. Seekers, do your thing. Challenge each other when possible." He said, giving everyone a second to process before giving them a small nod. "All right, let's get to work."

OOCOut of Character:
No arrivals necessary, feel free to dive right in!
Practice will be up until April 10.

Aurora nodded to what the captain said and then headed up into the air looking for a bludger to hit.

After releasing the quidditch balls and throwing the quaffle up into the air Isaiah hopped onto his broom and looked for a bludger.

Louis wasn't too pleased to be on a team with Zephryn, but they were probably the two best chasers the team had. They could win this. Louis grabbed the quaffle and flew off with it.

Aurora did not hit anything.

Zay chased after a bludger.

Elara was trying not to feel the pressure that was on her during this next game. If she let the team down so close to a chance at the cup... well, it would make this year memorable in the wrong way. Trying to push it all of her mind and focus on the snitch, she took to the air.

Soren jumped into the air as practice began, following after Louis.

Zat hit a bludger in no particular direction.

Rāwhiti was buzzing with excitement as he joined his teammates on the pitch for a practice. Practicing for their championship match. A dream come true. He nodded enthusiastically as he listened to Isaiah, before taking to the sky. Almost as soon as he took off a glimmer of gold caught his eye and he shot towards it, heart racing in disbelief as his fingers closed tightly around the snitch - faster than he had ever caught it in any practice or match at home. "GOT IT!" He called out, glowing with pride, and made sure the captain saw before he released the ball to return to the hunt.

Isaiah was a little surprised when he heard someone call out so early in the game, turning to see Rāwhiti holding the snitch. “Nice, dude!” He called out before looking around to see where the bludgers were.

Rāwhiti couldn't keep the proud grin off his face as he went looking for the snitch again, elated to be proving he deserved his spot on the team.

Elara had barely gotten up when Aurora knocked a bludger at her. She knew they couldn't spare to make it easy on anybody, but that just seemed unfair. As she looked up, she saw Raawhiti holding the snitch and tried not to groan out loud. This wasn't going well so far.

Zay chased another bludger.

Elara started to focus on finding the snitch.

Isaiah missed the bludger he had been chasing.

Elara kept her eye out for anything foreign among the clouds.

Isaiah looked for another bludger to hit.

Elara was surprised that she saw the snitch again so quickly after Raawhiti caught. Zooming to the far end of the pitch, she managed to catch it, smiling and holding it up before letting it go again.

Isaiah grinned when El caught the snitch before swatting away a bludger that came a little too close and sending it flying towards @Raawhiti Te Rangi.

Elara x1
Rāwhiti x1

Aurora missed the next bludger she was aiming for.

Zay looked for another bludger.

Elara let the snitch go, watching as it flew away before it quickly came back and buzzed around her head. She grasped it, pretty sure it didn’t count as a real catch. Either way, she had caught it and let it go again.

Isaiah hit the bludger closest to him and send it flying towards @Aurora Archer. “Heads up!
