Mania was SO excited that Hera had come to New Zealand with them this year. Having graduated last year meant her older sister was now free to do as she pleased until she figured out what she wanted to do next. Hera had mentioned something about maybe relocating and wanted to check New Zealand out just in case it was any good and who was Nia to refuse such offer to show her sister around? Okay nobody had actually asked her to, matter of fact she'd practically just stated that'd be the case. Not that she knew her way around other than the magical communities, but she knew a few things and that was enough.

They were currently walking around some plaza by the looks of it, thinking of where to have lunch at. Peering at all the places she Nia pretended to know where they were, when in fact she had no idea whatsoever. Walking to some restaurant she dragged her older sister behind her, who was getting quite hangry might she add, opening the door it smelled amazing and Mania stopped to stare around. Were they supposed to just go sit down or was this like one of those restaurants their mama always took them that would make you wait for an hour before escorting you to your table? "You think we can just walk to a table ooorrr...?" Nia whispered to her sister discreetly when all of a sudden an angel appeared in front of her very eyes. Okay not an angel, but close enough, it was a familiar face! "Kai! Oh my god!" She said excitedly, completely missing the fact he seemed to be working or something. Dragging her sister behind her the third year beelined for one of her new cool friends.

Maybe Hera should have waited until her sisters were back at school to scout out this side of the ocean. She'd been walking following Google maps after she'd given up on trusting her sister and now she was just hungry and tired. They were somewhere that seemed full of food places yet they didn't seem to be moving in any of their way. Hera was usually never grumpy but when she got hungry she wasn't exactly the happiest either. Thinking she'd spotted a nice looking place the woman felt herself being dragged towards the other direction.

Huffing some of the curls out of her face Hera turned her attention to her sister. "Mania Zoe Athanasiou. Do not drag me around like a dog." Merlin, a simple 'hey that looks nice' could have worked. However as soon as they were in and the smell of food hit her, Hera could practically feel her temper simmer into nothing. Missing half of what her sister was saying Hera was yet again yanked into another direction. "Mania, what did I say-" Hera started gently but stopped abruptly as she was faced with a strange man her sister knew by name.

Kai had been awake since four that morning and could do without another round of customers that thought they could ask him for more than his tips worth. "Welcome to All.." Kai paused. More because of the shout in his face than the realisation of who was there. It had only been a few weeks since the afternoon he'd met Felix's friend Marnia, but it felt like a lifetime given the number of hours he'd put in since then. "All Rays," he finished, making very little reaction to the girls outburst. "Take a seat Marnia," he gestured to the girl and the woman he was with, wondering if this was another from their law school. Perhaps Kai should have been more grateful Felix hadn't brought the entire squad with him when he visited.

After waiting for his customers to take a seat, he offered them both a menu. "I'll be back in a minute to take your orders," he really needed to graduate so he could move on from this place. The sooner he could enrol in college the better off he'd be.

Lucas had been sat at the bar waiting for Kai's shift to end for the last fourty minutes, making his way through as many flavours of milkshake as he could. He only had twenty minutes left and four more flavours, so he was going to need to work quickly. Lucas had noticed Nia before Kai did, although judging by the girl and her friend, neither of them recognised him. He had no idea what Felix had told them of Kai's place but probably not much given Kai rarely spoke about it in the first place.

As the girls were seated a short distance away, Lucas had turned in his seat, elbow propped up on the bar behind him as the flames in the distance were growing with every toss of the noodles, but he was facing the girls, grinning at them like a Cheshire cat in the hopes that eventually they'd notice. It was no good. Picking up a fortune cookie, he lobbed it across the room, smacking Nia's friend in the side of the face.

All Rays yet there wasn't a single ray to be seen where Kai was concerned. It was okay though because Mania was sure her broad smile made up for it, all up until DID HE JUST CALL HER MARNIA? The audacity of boys and calling her by the wrong name. Stunned by the events Nia took a seat and stared at Kai. "It's Ma-ni-A, thank you." She told him before taking the menu.

Merlin here she thought they were friends but apparently not. Frowning Nia glanced down at the menu, she felt like she was being stared at but honestly let them stare for now. Still wondering what to take Nia noticed her sister get up and looked up confused as to where she was off to, only her sister did not look happy with whoever she was walking towards. Now nobody else would notice it but Nia had followed Hera around her whole life, she knew when her sister was annoyed. Locking her eyes with the soon-to-be-victim the Gryffindor recognized him and shot up to follow behind her sister. "Lucas! Hi, this is-" Mania tried to begin but it ended in a grimace as her sister also started speaking.

Hera was still very suspicious as to why her sister knew this man that seemed closer to her own age, when the Kai went and said her sisters name all wrong. They must not be too close then. She did look at her sister with an amused expression though as the girl went on to spell out her name to the guy. "Who is he anyways?" She asked Nia once the Kai person had left and turned to her menu, very happy to just pick something to eat.

No sooner than she'd looked down at the menu did someone throw something at the side of her face. Eyes widening, more so from the shock that someone would dare to do something like that in broad daylight than anything else, Hera turned to look where the cookie now in her lap had come from. It wasn't too difficult to figure out who it was since the guy had the audacity to be staring at them too with a wide grin. Placing her menu back down Hera got up with all the poised calm she could muster and walked towards the boy. Nia tried to make introductions, because apparently she knew this one too, but Hera was not having it. "Did you just throw this cookie at me?" She asked, knowing full well he had. "I will have you know I haven't ate since this morning and I have been dragged around like a dog for the better half of today by my sister here." She said gesturing to her sister. "Would you be so kind and allow me to sit down, maybe have a meal in peace without throwing cookies at me?" She finished with a smile, the stronger than usual accent only sign of the meltdown the woman was on the verge of due to being hungry. She just wanted to eat.

Mania didn't know it, but she'd just sealed her fate with Kai. He'd make a point to call her the wrong name now, just to wind her up the wrong way. Poor Amelia had been Emily for almost six years. Before Lucas could say anything more to the girls, the older one had come flying in his direction, although that did nothing to wipe the smirk off his face. "No, I was aiming for her," he pointed in Mania's direction. "I don't know you, that would be weird. But her? Less so." he waved at the younger girl, feeling as though he had a good enough idea of her vibe to get away with the cheek. "Not my fault your big head got in the way of the cookie," he slipped in, and quickly slipped off his seat, out of arms reach, just in case.

While Kai was somewhat aware of the commotion going on around him, he had too many things to be dealing with at once to worry about some kids messing with one another. They'd have to sort it out between themselves. He'd been up to his elbows in oil most of the day and he wasn't about to make his shift any longer than it needed to be. "Bread sticks, table 12. Now," The sooner Marnia and her visitor had something in their mouths, the better.

Mania cringed at Hera's words even more. Her sister's words were getting more accented one by one and that was never a good sign. She should have found somewhere to eat faster because now Hera was just hangry and they were here with Lucas. Lucas who did nothing to save himself from the situation he was in, matter of fact he seemed to just dig himself deeper. "Christ all mighty have some mercy on me and my entire bloodline." She muttered in Greek. "He didn't mean it, your head isn't big.... that big you know? Everyone's head is big, its okay lets just go sit back down. Order the food and be out of here," Nia offered to her sister with a feverish nod, trying to deescalate the situation.

It wasn't any better that the boy had aimed at her sister, no it was sort of worse because Hera felt protective over her sisters. "Right, so you just throw cookies at people you know? What if it had hit her in the eye," she tried, glancing to her sister that wasn't wearing glasses today. Her head snapped back to the boy with a force that was enough to give her a cramp in the neck as the boy had the audacity to call her head big. "I beg your pardon? So now what? We are insulting me? Hitting me with a cookie wasn't enough?" The audacity of this guy. "You know what yeah Mania, you sit with him I'll go have sit on my own. You seem to know each other well enough already. Fetch me when you are done with your friend." She told the younger girl, fully intending on removing herself from what could turn into a scene very quickly if the boy kept provoking her. Merlin's sake today was sure to give her a gods damned headache and a half. Walking back to her seat Hera closed her eyes and just massaged the space between her brows. Noticing the bread sticks on the table she smiled a little, thanking whoever had gotten those there, before picking one up and biting down on it. "Oh, these are good." She mumbled to herself, because her traitor of a sister had indeed discarded her now in favour of spending time with her friend.

Lucas wasn't one to consider the consequences of his actions. If he had, he wouldn't be the guy he was today, not with his reputation. The older girl seemed to let off some steam by shouting at him, which did nothing to make Lucas feel bad, in fact he was used to it. Some would say, worth it, even. He'd sniggered as Mania even admitted her head wasn't exactly small, he knew there was a reason he liked her. "You don't have to sit with me," Lucas added, crossing his arms over his chest, "I'm waiting for Kai to finish, though just wanted to say hi," He supposed that was one way to do it. "Who is she?"

The breadsticks usually went down well. Once Kai had a moment to break away, he returned to Marnia's table, armed with tatty menus that he promptly plonked in front of the only girl remaining at his table. "Are you two not speaking now?" He asked, already aware he didn't have another table for Marnia if she wanted to sit on her own. She'd have to go outside if she wanted to eat.

Mania glanced between her sister and Lucas, shrugging. "Mehh I'll let her cool off for a bit, I reckon me calling her head big too wasn't the smartest thing to do." She replied with a small laugh of her own. "I'll wait with you!" She added with a nod and hopped onto the seat next to his, only last one available by the looks of it. "Oh she's my older sister, though acts more like a mum since our mum is very.... not motherly. She's great I promise, just hungry. I kept dragging her everywhere saying we'd eat soon and then what do you know it's been like five or six hours when we last had so much as a snack." Mania shrugged. Hera was nothing like mama, but she did get annoyed easier when she was hungry. It was usually in ones best interests to keep her fed and happy.

After finishing the first bread stick Hera took another, pouring some soy sauce into a cup and dipping the stick in. It was surprisingly good and she was in the middle of scoffing it down when she heard a voice again, ready to glare at whoever came around she managed to just give a normal look. Swallowing the bit she was chewing on Hera glanced at her sister. "Oh no we are speaking, I reckon she'll come back at some point." She explained, then looked at the man again, suddenly all the more aware of the inconvenience this whole situation was causing him. "Oh I'm sorry, I didn't mean to start up a scene or make your day more difficult. I can fetch her right now if you'd like?" She offered instantly, always the peacemaker where ever she went. With a slight frown Hera got herself ready to get up if the man wished her to fetch her sister.
