Ava sat at the Head table chatting away to the staff around her, waiting for all the students to arrive. She was sure that they were just as excited about the food as she was, so it wasn't long before the Hall filled out. The Professor was happy about the green decoration once again hanging around the Hall, the winner of the House Cup quite obvious. Ava rose and the chatter in the Hall quietened out as she cleared her throat to speak. "Welcome everyone the final feast of this year. Before we tuck in, I just have a few words to say. A very big congratulations to the winner of our House Cup this year - as you can all see, the winner is Slytherin!" She exclaimed, clapping along with the cheers from the winning house. "I know that Professor Styx is very proud of you all, and very happy to have the Cup in his office again for year the year coming." She laughed. Moving on to the top House Point Earners, Ava saw that they hadn't earned as much as they had in the previous year, but it was still quite high. "Also a very big congratulations to our Top House Point Earners this year - For Slytherin and the Top Point Earner, Iason Samartzi earned 705 points for his House! For Ravenclaw, congratulations to Lorin Finch who earned 681 for his House! For Hufflepuff, congratulations to Rhiannon McGowan for earning 577 for her House! And congratulations to Tybalt Archer for earning 488 points for Gryffindor! Well done everyone!" Ava happily said, clapping along with the rest of the Hall.
"Congratulations to everyone for this year, you have made us all very proud. Have a fantastic holiday everyone! Be safe and empty out your brains in preparation to learn next year! And now we eat!" Ava laughed as the food appeared on the tables before sitting down, and helping herself to a large portion of food.

It was hard to believe that another year had just flown by. It had been over before he had really realised how quickly it had been going. It was sort of strange to him, the years seemed to feel shorter and shorter, they were over before he knew it, and he would be a year old. Despite this, he was happy with the last term, and he was happy with his life currently. Sure, he was a little sad that he hadn't been able to spend as much time with B, their time spent together always meant so much to him. More than he really would ever admit. He wasn't sure if what he felt for her was love, but he really really liked her, and he wasn't keen on the idea of not being able to call her his girlfriend, but at this point he didn't know what was going on with her, so he wasn't even certain he could actually call her that. It was strange, and he was feeling a little weird about it. The break would be good, time with his family, with his cousin and maybe a few friends would clear his head and get him ready to work for those OWLs, the difference for the next term was that at least he was going to finally be part of the senior section of the school. It would be good. He was looking forward to finally getting exams that would help decide his future, he hoped that he would be able to get everything that he wanted from life. Hopefully he'd be able to do this without needing to work too hard, though Ty knew he would.

The end of year feast was that last dinner where he sat with his fellow Gryffindors and ate like he'd not eaten that entire month. It wasn't that his mother wouldn't feed him well, she definitely would, but he really enjoyed the food of the elves and there was just so much of it. Ty liked tasting everything that was within reach and a few things just outside his reach. He liked tasting new things and feeling that joy of new flavours. In short, Ty liked food. He listened as the head mistress spoke. Smiling as she did so, it had been a good year, that much was true, and he was very surprised when he managed to get top points for his house, he hadn't thought he would get that. Thankfully that sort of concluded the professors small rounding up speech and the boy was faced with so much food. He smiled to himself, and then began to tuck in. Happy that the year had gone so well. Looking forward to the next and all the new adventures that it might bring.

Walking into the Great Hall to see his house's colors streaming everywhere was a sight that put a smile on the young Slytherin's face. He wasn't an especially good student, but he had done ok and he knew that his house points for helping other students and doing reasonably well in lessons had contributed to his house winning the cup. The boy knew that the quidditch players typically took most of the glory, but Preston was fine with that. Taking a seat, the Slytherin listened as the Headmistress announced the highest points earners. Preston clapped politely for each student, not expecting to hear his name. He was a bit surprised to hear Tybalt's name called, though he shouldn't have been too surprised. Tybalt was pretty smart. Looking to the left of Tybalt, Preston spotted his girlfriend. They'd both been pretty busy during this half of the semester, but Preston wasn't too worried. He figured they'd pick up their letter writing as they had the previous break. Finally, all of the talk was done and Preston was able to get to his favorite part of the feast - the food!

After finishing off his meal with a couple of slices of pie, Preston pushed his plate away. He was stuffed. Tomorrow, he would be heading away from the castle. Unlike some of the other students in the school, Preston didn't have very far to travel at all. He knew that distance meant little to the wizards and witches who would be able to travel hundreds and sometimes thousands of miles in the blink of an eye. Preston was pretty eager to get home. His parents had written to him to let him know that the family would be traveling to one of their vacation homes once he arrived, and the teen couldn't wait to get himself onto a beach where he could swim and catch some waves. He hoped he wouldn't be too rusty. Reaching for his cup, Preston swished his muggle pop around, wondering what the next few months would bring him.
