Professor Misha Haden had been a bit surprised to be asked to help out, he didn't often, but he didn't mind it. Though of course he was feeling a little more tired than usual with the boys keeping him awake. It was nice though, they were adorable. He looked at the two students whose duel he was overseeing. "Let's keep this clean," he said, before inviting them to get started.

The duel begins now. You have 24 hours from this to post your first reply, or face disqualification. Once both duelists have posted, you will have 24 hours from your opponents post to reply, or be disqualified. Ensure that you use the spell list for guidance on age-appropriate spells, and read over the dueling rules and points system. Please also remember site rules apply, including power/god modding. You can find the site rules here. Duels will run until there is a winner or until 6 IRL days have passed, in which case the winner will be chosen by RNG. If you are knocked out or otherwise disarmed/incapacitated, or if you run out of points, you will lose and the duel will end. Have fun!

Spectators are allowed to post in this topic once per competitors post, but are forbidden from directly interfering with the duels. Duelers cannot cast spells at the spectators or face disqualification.

Eoghan was torn between whether or not he cared about winning this duel. On the one hand he’d already come up against the students that he’d wanted to beat, and he’d made it far enough through the tournament to prove to himself he was capable. Then again, if he’d come this far and upset students on the way, would it feel worth if it he didn’t see it through to the very end? “Stupefy,” the Ravenclaw said clearly after a bow.

After sitting out the last round Sybil was ready and eager to get back onto the platform. She quickly bowed to her opponent she recognized from the paper and classes. He got off the first spell but she was ready with a shield charm and sent back a spell of her own. "Expelliarmus!"

Eoghan was ready to block the next spell that came his way, before spending back another of his own "Petrificus Totalus," he said clearly, wand raised.

Sybil's wand was raised and ready when he cast his next spell and she blocked it easily with a shield charm. She was feeling a bit more confident now after making it this far and cast a slug vomiting spell.

Eoghan wasted no time blocking the incoming jinx. "Stupefy!" he threw back at the Slytherin, hoping something would hit her soon.

Sybil was doing her best to stay in the moment but she was trying to think of her next spell before the time came. It was just enough to get caught off guard and need to dodge out of the way of the stunning spell. She found her footing again, and fired off a spell without missing much of a beat. "Petrificus Totalus!"

Eoghan was very much hoping that Sybil was becoming tired and distracted if her stumble was anything to go by. “Protego,” he fired another shield to stop himself from solidifying, before sending another disarming charm her way.

Sybil gripped her wand tighter and stood her ground casting another shield charm and sending back a trip jinx.

Eoghan debating using similar tactics to the one he’d used on Eli, but he didn’t know Sybil well enough to know what to say. He blocked her spell and quickly sent the girl another stun.

Sybil kept her focus on her opponent and nothing else and cast a shield charm to block the stunning spell cast her way. Quickly she responded. "Tarantallegra!"

Eoghan wasn't going to let Sybil take the lead and quickly blocked her spell, following by another well placed stun. The sooner she was out the sooner he could go on to win this thing for his year.

Sybil frowned slightly as Eoghan used the same spell twice in a row but she was still able to block it with a shield charm. She decided to see if she could land a hit with it. "Stupefy!" she cast with significant speed.

Eoghan was concentrating hard, so much so that when Sybil threw out another spell quicker than before, the shield charm had already left his lips before she’s finished casting her out. He grinned at her across the stage, “Petrificus Totalus!”
