Professor Styx leads the two contestants to the stage, appointing them into the north or south part of the stage. He reveals the rules as well as the point system. He walks off the stage and orders the duel to begin, as he keeps a watchful eye.​

All right, make sure that you use the spell list for guidance. No board rule breaking is acceptable. Have fun! I have a copy of the code that you should use with every post. Remember, when you are knocked out, unable to shoot anymore spells, you lost. And if you run out of points, you lose.
Oh, and the duel begins now. Also, if someone doesn't post after 24 hours, then they are disqualified.

Victoire was very nervous about this. She had decided to put herself forward on a whim, but was now really beginning to regret it. She didn't think she was good enough. She didn't mind losing, she would love to win but she just didn't want to embarrass herself. She was now stood, waiting for the match to begin, and finally the professor nodded that they were to start. She glanced at her opponent and smiled politely at her, "Good Luck" she called to the girl, trying to show that this wasn't to be too serious. And so, Victoire without much more thinking threw the first spell. "Expelliarmus" she started easy, something she was sure that the other girl would easily protect against.

Francesca was very excited for this. She made sure she had had a good rest and was very prepared for this, well, she felt like she was. She wasn't too sure. She wanted to win, but her priority was not being silly, and having a good time. Franny grinned at the blonde girl across from her, and waved as she spoke. "You too!" She held nothing against the girl - this was going to be fun! "Protego!" She then used the TripJinx when the spell was deflected.

Victoire smiled at the girl as she returned the greeting towards her. Victoire wanted to do well of course, but she was determined to also be able to have fun with it. It wasn't often that she got the chance to actually use magic in such a setting. At the other girl's spell, she easily blocked it with a flick of her wand and, "Protego" Spending a few shot seconds trying to decide what to fire back before doing so, "Rictusempra"

Franny lept out of the way of the oncoming spell, and aimed her wand back at the girl. "Locomotor Mortis!"

Victoire was a little annoyed that the other girl had managed to dodge her spell, but Victoire was hardly given any time to be able to think about it when the girl shot back. She just in time managed to get out the way, before she responded as quickly with her own, "Rictusempra"

Franny threw up a verbal Protego, and once again aimed her wand at the girl. She themed used the Trip jinx.

Victoire was pretty pleased with her spell as it shot straight at the other girl. She watched however as the other girl easily blocked it. She was happy, this was fun even if it was still pretty tricky. She was so distracted that as she went to dodge the spell she missed and tripped over. She groaned slightly, before she got back to her feet. Wiping a few stray strands of her hair away from her face. "Stupefy" she shot back quickly.

Franny chewed her lip as her opponent hit the ground, harder than she had thought. "Hey, you okay?" She smiled when the girl stood up, and out up a verbal Protego, before casting another spell. "Ricusempra!"

Victoire smiled at the other girls words. She was fine, though perhaps her ego was a little bruised. "I'm alright thank you" she said with a smile, just as the other girl shot a spell at her which she easily dodged, before firing back, "Locomotor mortis"

Franny was glad that the girl was okay, she would have been horrified if the girl was not okay. She hadn't realised the girl had shot a spell back at her until she was suddenly on the ground, face first, her legs locked together.

Victoire glanced as her shot hit the girl dead on, and the girl could no longer move her legs, she wondered what she thought with what would happen. If the girl would do anything. She glanced over at the professor before continuing, "Stupefy"

Having forgot to fix her legs, the Slytherin was still on the ground as the Gryffindor cast her next spell. She tried to reach up and protect herself, or at least dodge, but it was no use. She was just too slow. Francesca was hit, and she slumped to the ground.

Professor Styx was a little amazed on how quick the students fell. Shrugging, he walked up the platform and he announced, "Victoire Fontaine is the winner." He revived his Slytherin before he walked off from the platform.
