Dueling Match #15

The dueling tournament was one of Edward's favourite events in the school calender and he was more than happy to help out as proctor once again. He signaled for the next two opponents to step forward and take their positions. “Welcome to your first duel of the tournament. I expect to see good sportsmanship from both of you. When I give the signal, you will bow to one another and begin. Wands at the ready.” He looked between both of them before nodding. “You may begin.”

Out of Character:

The duel begins now. You have 24 hours from this to post your first reply, or face disqualification. Once both duelists have posted, you will have 24 hours from your opponents post to reply, or be disqualified. Ensure that you use the spell list for guidance on age-appropriate spells, and read over the dueling rules and points system. Please also remember site rules apply, including power/god modding. You can find the site rules here. Duels will run until there is a winner or until 6 IRL days have passed, in which case the winner will be chosen by RNG. If you are knocked out or otherwise disarmed/incapacitated, or if you run out of points, you will lose and the duel will end. Have fun!

Spectators are allowed to post in this topic once per competitors post, but are forbidden from directly interfering with the duels. Duelers cannot cast spells at the spectators or face disqualification.

Ten thought it was some cruel joke that she'd be paired up with her girlfriend for the duels. They were denied being paired for prefect patrol, but attempting to injure one another with an audience? Apparently that was okay. She had a feeling Veronica wouldn't exactly hold back either, it wasnt her style, which left Ten knowing she was going to have to duel her like she did anyone else. She bowed to her girlfriend, hair almost long enough that as she did so it was only a foot away from the floor. "Expelliarmus," Ten got in their first, trying to disarm Veronica.

Ten had been her girlfriend for all of five minutes before they were thrown in a duel against each other. Veronica bowed to her before taking her place at the end of the table. She knew she couldn't take it easy on her, they would both have to give it their all and hope they both came out the other side ok. Veronica cast a shield charm to block Ten's spell and cast a Babbling curse back.

Ten didn't take it personally that Veronica was trying to take her down, after all, the prefect was doing the same thing. She blocked the girls spell, before throwing back a disarming charm of her own.

Mania had been elated to see Ten was dueling as well and she'd made sure to get as close to the platform as they were allowed to watch the prefect. She liked to consider the two of them friends and thus she was here to support her. She watched closely at the two girls, secretly hoping Ten would win. She had thought about making a silly little sign but hadn't wanted it to be distracting so she'd just brought herself.
