Bruin's Quidditch Team Practice

(((OOC: Sorry i had to go for a few hours)))

Zoe flew around in circles, something she liked to do often, then responded, " Hi, I'm Zoe-Hope, I play Seeker." Then flew flew to the ground, grabbed some golf balls, threw them in the air as hard and as high as she could then quickly mounted her broom, and raced after them. She cheered as she caught them all. and flew in circles a bit more.
 
"Nice work Zoe-Hope! I see why you made seeker!" Lily grinned. "Hey toss me that quaffle! I'm open!"
 
"Thanks, your really good too!"
Zoe-Hope swooped down grabbed a quaffle, and tossed it in Lily's direction, then grabbed another quaffle and swerved her way towards one of the other goalposts where no one was guarding, threw it in then caughtthe quaffle again.

Lily caught the quaffle that Zoe tossed her way. She made her way down to the rings at the end of the field where Estrella was hovering. Lily hoped that she would be able to make a goal, but if not, Estrella would have some practice blocking. She made a swerve to the left, then back to the right, then went for the center ring, hoping to make it without Estrella noticing.
 
Heath walked out onto the pitch with is firebolt in hand, he mounted and kicked off without anyone noticing he was there and flew over to where Bruin was hovering, waiting for his turn with the quaffle.

"Hey Bruin" he said.
 
Estrella snatched the Quaffle that Lily tossed at her with glee. "I won't be so easy to get past after my last slip-up," she laughed.
 
Lily laughed. "I figured you would block me. Gotta learn how to sneak better I guess"

Lily smiled as she thought of being able to score in an actual game.
 
"Come on guys!" Estrella laughed. "Looks like everyone's here, except Adrianna... I wonder when she's gonna get here?"

(((i need to leave for the day, i will be back later on. just need to run errands this afternoon and have dinner plans tonight. be back!)))



Lily was already hovering over by Estrella, so she stayed put, looking at the others.
 
Zoe went down towards Bruin, and tossed him the Quaffle, then flew around a bit more. then went down to the person that had just arrived, and said "Hey, I'm Zoe-Hope i play seeker. What about you?" She smiled. looks like we have a great team so far! she thought to herself.

"Hey Heath!!!", Bruin replied as he turned just in time to catch the incoming Quaffle from Zoe-Hope. Bruin took a quick headcount and realized that they were only missing Adrianna, the other Beater. Bruin thought for a moment and then yelled out to the rest.

"How do you guys feel about a little 3-on-3 game??? Just with one Quaffle for now and basically anybody who is back can defend the hoops. We could put our three chasers together as one team to get them used to working together...so let's say Heath, Ryan and Lily at that end and Estrella, Zoe-Hope and I can defend this end!", Bruin hoped that a little competition would bring out a little of the competitive spirit he was so sure resided within his teammates.
 
Estrella watched Lily and the chasers carefully so that they could not slip the Quaffle in past her. "Come on, guys," she said, trying to pump their spirits up, "Let's play some Quidditch!" She had never been a cheerleader, but she had seen the muggle girls at a high school pep fest.
 
Zoe liked this idea of B.D.'s, "Bring it on!"she said enthusiastically and went on her side, prepared for anything.
 
Estrella hovered next to Bruin and Zoe-Hope. "So, how exactly are we going to play this?" she wondered out loud.
 
"What are you looking at me for??? I've never even played this game before..." Bruin said with a laugh...

"Should we each kind of cover one of them when they have the Quaffle and then try and break loose for a pass when we get the Quaffle???", Bruin whispered to Estrella and Zoomie-Hope (OOC-still trying out those nicknames...hahaha)
 
"Ok, that sounds good." zoe thought for a second then remembered "who gets first quaffle?" then swerved around the goal posts on her side.
 
"Alright, I'll cover Heath...he's used to me running into him in Flying lessons...which one of you wants Lily and which one wants to mark Ryan?" Bruin asked...

"Oh, and I say we give them first Quaffle, just to be good sports...."
 
"I can cover Ryan, I guess," Estrella said. She passed the quaffle to their team's first year chaser.
 
Zoe didn't really care whom she got, "Ill take Lily then, It's settled!" Then prepared to either block a score, or steal the quaffle.
 
Bruin yelled across to Lily, Ryan and Heath..."Alright you three, the first Quaffle is yours...we'll play to 5 hoops and then maybe switch the teams up or do something different...you can start whenever you're ready!"

Bruin hovered on his broom and kept his eyes on Heath, determined not to let him get past him with the Quaffle.
 
Heath caught the passed quaffle and started off toward the other end of the pitch towards Bruin. He flattened himself against his broom, going full speed towards the other team's chasers and as he neared Bruin's position, rolled to the right and lobbed the quaffle towards Ryan.
 
Estrella watched as Ryan caught the quaffle, and she weaved in front of him, blocking him off from his two teammates.
 
Zoe-Hope flew to block Lily, just in case Ryan had managed to throw it to her.
 
Bruin hadn't expected Heath to fly directly at him, particularly after their collision during flying lessons, and was momentarily frozen. He snapped back to reality however when Heath performed his roll. Bruin rotated quickly and accelerated after Heath hoping to cut off any return pass from Ryan to Heath.
 
Ryan had noone to pass to, so he tried to dodge his blocker, and it worked he made a quick fake to one side and flew straight up the middle t the hoops, he saw that Heath was starting to get free and made a pass to him...
