A bit of a wild child at heart, Briony spends most of her time outside, playing out adventures in her head while picking flowers and watching animals. She has a special fondness for insects, something she picked up from her magi-entomologist father, and can easily spend hours lost in the tiny world around her as she stares at an ant or beetle on the ground. Getting lost in her own world is really a very common occurrence, even while inside, despite Briony's love of stories, she can easily get distracted and drift into her own anytime something catches her attention. This can make it hard for her to make lasting social connections, though she's not bothered, being fairly relaxed and content dealing with herself, though she'll happily play along if someone else has the patience to listen to her share a fun bug fact or join in one of her fantasy games.

Though from a larger magical family in New Zealand, Briony has grown up fairly isolated. With both her parents focused almost entirely on their work lives and her two siblings forming their own ways to keep after themselves, Briony's social circle has always been fairly distant. As such, Briony tends to escape into her own mind to keep herself busy, dreaming up large expansive stories and narrating a more interesting life for the world around her inside her own head.
