Hi, everyone!!! How are you doing? I know it's been a busy time recently for a lot of us, so I'm super grateful you're here reading this update. With that said, let's dive in!

Ending Semester One
Exams are over, which brings semester one to its official close! Kids and professors alike have a couple of weeks now to kick back and relax before the new term (not sure how accurate that is to being an actual teacher, but hurray fiction!!).

As it stands, Slytherin have a 1,000 point lead on Gryffindor and Hufflepuff, while Ravenclaw are... well, we don't talk about Ravenclaw (no, no, no).

Hogwarts Monthly
Issue 1 of the Hogwarts Monthly has been published!! Anybody can pick up a copy here, and, if you feel like it, you can post your characters' reaction to reading the paper in the topic as well. The amount of quality content in this thing is mind-blowing - I had more fun reading this than I do real magazines. Here is a big cheer for all of the contributors, and for Kaye/Estelle Fuentes, the editor. Thank you all for another great edition!

Yule Ball
You've probably noticed by now, but the Yule Ball is open! And it will be open for a couple more days, in fact, so there's still time to post that topic you've been thinking about, or jump into a ready-made open one. Don't forget to post your attendees' pictures in the Accio! yearbook, too!

The Final Debate
We're out of Hogwarts, now - third and final election debate is in full swing!! The subject of this one is 'Commerce', and as usual the candidates have unique opinions and perspectives on the matter. With MoM voting opening in just a matter of weeks, the pressure to gain pubilc favour is high, and every move here matters. Who stands out as the next Minister to your characters?

The Celebrations Continue
You didn't think the birthday games were over yet, did you?! A game of White Elephant, hosted by Cyndi, has just begun, and there's already gift stealing going on, yaass!!! Sign-ups are also open for the HNZ Hunger Games, a raffle-type game with a story to it, hosted by mee. There are only four spots left as of posting this Bi-Weekly Update, so get in there while you still can! ^_^

Lastly, OOC Superlative voting has now closed! Thank you so much everyone who submitted votes. Now, please be patient with us while we tally them up!!

Now Hiring!
A new teaching position has opened at Hogwarts! If your character has ever dreamt of becoming a History of Magic professor, now's the time to apply.

We also have a shopkeeper position available at Borgin and Burke's. If you're interested, apply here!

Don't forget to check the Application Centre regularly for any other positions that might pop up between updates.

End of an Era
During her impressive thirtreen-year tenure as Headmistress, Katherine Alicastell showed herself to be kind, professional, steadfast, patient, and fair. She always had time for the staff and students alike, but tolerated no nonsense. It was clear that was as well-respected within the castle walls as she is outside them.

As Katherine steps down from her position, she leaves behind a hole in the school and a legacy that will be difficult to follow. Please join me in saying a huge thank you to her RPer, Jesse, for all of his hard work in the position over the years. We appreciate you and everything that you have done.
  • Spin the Bottle Y41 - The students are at it again. This time it is the fourth and fifth years' turn to play spin the bottle. Who will kiss who and what drama will arise?
  • Dancing Alone - Renata thought she'd be dancing alone at the ball, but she was wrong. Is this a cute friendship, or is there romance in the air?

  • Holiday RP's!
  • MoM voting!!
  • More birthday fun!
  • Well, HNZ can't go without a headteacher for long...

And thus concludes another update!! Thank you so very much for reading - and if you're still here, here's a reminder to do something kind for yourself today. Take some time to do something you love, or do absolutely nothing at all, guilt-free. Remind yourself you are worthy and your value is not measured by your productivity. You are allowed to just be.

Thank you Jesse for everything you have done as Headmistress! And thank you Claire for the update!

I also look forward to seeing who steps in and takes over as Head of the school.

Thanks for posting, Claire!
