Sophia arrived at the pitch, her broom clutched in her hand. She would be the first to arrive to practice today before Mualla. Actually, she'll be the one to lead the practice today due to Mualla's absent. Something Sophia never thought she would ever have to do, but, their captain unfortunately couldn't be here today. So, that left Sophia to take her place as she was one of the oldest player on the team. Sophia waited along on the arrival of her other team mates, she mounted her broom to be the first one in the air they see as they come along to practice.

Gaby had been thoroughly enjoying her first year on the team so far, definitely excited about their upcoming game against hogwarts. With her hand tightly gripped around her broom she happily made her way onto the pitch, quickly spotting one of her older teammates already in the air. She gave the girl a little wave from where she was walking, taking a stand on the pitch as she waited for the others to arrive.

Hugo was ready for this practice, and excited. He headed to the field quickly and waved as he spotted Sophia there already. He hoped they would start soon, as he wanted to catch the snitch before Sophia and show her he was a good seeker. He also wondered where the captain was, but figured she'd show up soon.

Aramis made a show of stretching out his arms as he headed out to the pitch. Getting to travel for big games was definitely one of the perks of making it onto the team, but admittedly with all the end of year stuff around the corner he'd almost forgotten about their upcoming match in New Zealand until practices had started ramping up. It seemed like Sophia was already up in the air when he joined the other players and Aramis gave Hugo a little nudge. "Practice hasn't even started and she's already ahead of you," He said quietly, moving to slouch on his friend and check over the pitch till everyone was ready to get going.

Gemma wasn't in a hurry to get to practice. She was excited, especially for the trip to New Zealand even if she would be on the bench. But when she arrived she noticed their captain was missing in action and she felt the faintest hope that she might get to play after all. She strode up to Hugo and Aramis to hear the end of their conversation. "Is that so?" she asked Hugo curiously. "Letting yourself be shown up so soon after our win?" she teased as she did some stretches with her arms. She didn't want to pull a muscle now when her chances were looking good.

Édelie was nervous for the upcoming game against the New Zealand team. They were pretty good, but they had more teams at their school than Beauxbatons, which meant more opportunities to practice. As she made her way onto the field, she was surprised to see their captain missing, but maybe Mualla was just running late. Édelie moved next to Gaby and gave her a big smile. "Ready to crush this practice?" she asked with a little mustered enthusiasm.

Sophia waves to her teammates as they were arriving. To be honest she hadn't really been active as she should be this year. Commentary was still a great big deal to her, however, as the seeker she should be more around. And now as temporary captain there was no way she would be missing the next game. "Hey guyyyyys! Glad you can make it," Sophia calls out. "I'll make this short, or um, straight to the point. Mualla is busy with school assignments, so, she won't be leading the practice today. Tragic, I know," Sophia informs them, not really caring if they were okay with it or not. Someone had to be captain, and she was asked so she accepted to help the team. Let's see if she can manage them enough to beat New Zealand's team. "Remind me again what position you're in? Hugo! I know you're an alt seeker, come on dude, you're going up against me. Alright, let's go!"

Aramis scratched his cheek as Sophia called down to them to announce Mualla was busy today and to get practice started. It wasn't the weirdest thing, so he just shrugged, hopping on his broom to get started. He wasn't sure if Sophia was kidding about not knowing what position they played, so he decided just flying over to start guarding the hoops was as good an answer as any.

Sophias started speaking to them and told them Mualla was busy and couldn't lead the practice. She then asked them abou their positions, and Hugo wondered if she was joking. But he was still happy that Sophia knew who he was. He grinned and nodded at her, then took to the air to go find the snitch.

Édelie was a little surprised by Sophia's commentary about why she was leading practice today but brushed it off as she took the air, claiming the quaffle.

Gaby laughed when Édelie stood next to her. “For sure.” She nodded, before turning her attention to Sophia when she explained she would be leading today’s practice. Unsure about whether her comment about stating their positions had been genuine Gaby just shot up in the air after Édelie as she claimed the quaffle.

The chasers didn't waste any time getting into practice. Aramis drifted slightly to the left as he watched them get closer.

Gemma felt sympathetic toward Muella for having to miss practice for school but didn’t think much of it. But when Sophia asked about what positions they all played she glanced around at the rest of the team, who all seemed to be as confused as she was. She followed the rest of the teams lead and kicked off with her bat tightly in her hand as she scanned the pitch for a bludger, with no luck yet.

Édelie thought that she and Gaby were a good team, and she wanted to keep that up during the practice. She passed the quaffle to @Gabrielle Perrault hoping that it would lead to a score or at least good passes between them.

Gaby followed Édelie around the pitch, catching the quaffle when she passed it to her and locking it under her arm. She continued further towards the hoops, deciding to pass the quaffle back at @Édelie de la Mora at the very last second in the hopes of throwing Aramis off. She was curious how that play would pan out though, especially since she figured their keeper was at least somewhat used to how they played by now.

Édelie and Gaby were wasting no time before they started doing their passing thing again. Aramis just stayed put, watching them until they were close enough to really be a concern.

Édelie was glad Gaby caught the quaffle and kept alongside her, easily grasping the ball when it was sent back in her direction. She decided to take a chance to score against Aramis and missed, which was on par for her track record but would hopefully change today.

Gemma frowned when no bludgers showed themselves. Unfortunately it was starting to seem like last practice might be the result of beginners luck.

"...or maybe not," Sophia said, then shrugs as the practice began. Her former commentary self would be ashamed not knowing the positions of her teammates. But, can anyone honestly blame her? She was a seeker, seeker barely keep track of the actions of the other players on the team. That's been her perspective so far since she joined the team last year. Maybe it's only her who feels that way? "Okay, do whatever you do best, and that's to win! Let's show those Kiwis what's coming to them," Sophia roars arrogantly feeling her old self come out. "Hmm, I feel like we're a little short, who else we're missing?"

Aramis was quietly amused by Sophia's attempts to rile up the team, especially when apparently had been serious about not knowing what position everyone played. "This game's gonna go great," He said wanly, shifting to watch as Édelie shot closer with the quaffle. He'd come to learn it was easier to block the chasers if he didn't try to react until someone was right up on the hoops, and he was glad it'd paid off, managing to block the shot and throw it back out to them without too much trouble.

Édelie wished she could get a quaffle past Aramis, but him consistently blocking was a good thing for their upcoming game. She looped around, waiting to see if Gaby or anyone else would grab the quaffle.

Gemma finally spotted a bludger after what felt like forever and raced after it. She swung at it hard and aimed for the Elise, who would at least have a chance to hit it back but her aim was off and hit one the alt chaser instead. @Ares Kuya-Tine

Aramis leant forward on his broom, watching the rest of the game as the chasers regrouped. He gave a wince of sympathy when Gemma managed to knock a bludger into one of the younger chasers, but it had been a good hit.

Édelie was confident in her ability to score and went for it again, but when she saw (and heard) one of the younger students get hit with a bludger, it threw her off, allowing the quaffle to completely go wide.

Aramis was glad the distraction of the bluder nearby seemed to have thrown Édelie off, seeing as he wasn't nearly ready to block her shot when she approached the hoops. He flew down, scooping up the quaffle and tossed it back out to the chasers.
