Beauxbatons Quidditch Practice Y37 S2

Édelie kept flying towards the hoops, looking for a chance to pass.
 
Gaby winced after she was faced with the feeling of a bludger hitting her right in the side just a couple of seconds after her failed attempt to score. She gave Élise a smile when she apologized, knowing that was just what happened during practice. She followed Édelie when the girl moved back towards the hoops again, although not as actively as she normally would since she was mostly still trying to ignore the pain in her side. When Édelie missed again Gaby tried her best to stay positive as she followed after her a bit more actively now.
 
The chasers were on the move again, especially now that Gaby seemed to have shaken off her bludger hit, but Aramis stayed fairly still, not wanting to move until they got closer, just in case the quaffle was passed again.
 
Édelie thought she saw a chance to score and went to toss the quaffle in, failing again.
 
Hugo was still hurting a bit from the bludger, but tried not to let it bother him too much as he continued to search for the snitch.
 
Gaby caught the quaffle when it was thrown out again, turning around to do a little lap around the pitch.
 
Édelie came closer and Aramis shifted at the last second, just managing to grab hold of the quaffle before it could get through the hoops. Feeling pleased, he tossed it back out to Gaby.
 
Gemma was ready this time when a bludger came at her and she swung, trying to aim for Elise again but the angle hadn't been right and ended up hitting Sophia again. She mouthed sorry before pretending to be busy looking for bludgers. @Sophia Corelli
 
Gaby circled back to the hoops, letting out a small sigh when her shot was blocked again. They had to do better than this. That or just hope that the hogwarts keeper wouldn't do as solid of a job in blocking their shots as Aramis was doing right now.
 
Édelie and Gaby were just not catching breaks during this practice, and as she caught the quaffle, heading back down the pitch, she wondered if they would even get a chance to score.
 
Gemma spotted a bludger and raced to meet it. Finally she made a good connection and sent it flying towards the other beater where it met its mark. @Élise Moreau

Édelie saw another teammate get hit and winced. But she had to focus on scoring right now.
 
Gaby was on the approach and Aramis had a clear line of sight as she took her shot, able to nab the quaffle easier this time. He had a pretty good read on how their two chasers operated now and felt like it was really paying off. He chucked it back out to Édelie, settling back on his broom to wait for their next attempt.
 
Whack!

Sophia didn't see it coming, it was too late. The seventh year groaned, hunch over on her broomstick briefly. She rubbed the spot where she was hit and gave Gemma a thumbs up. "Good job, Gemma! Bring that same energy for our next matchup!"
 
Élise was flying low in search for more bludgers, but nothing out of the ordinairy. Then she spotted a bludger coming her way, unable to dodge she was hit by Gemma.
 
Édelie saw a chance to score again and ended up throwing too hard, watching it sail over the hoops. Cursing, she flew away for a moment to catch her cool.
 
Édelie was coming in hot and Aramis had definitely been getting too comfortable. He clambered to try and get in front of the shot, but luckily for him Édelie's shot went wide, flying up and over the hoops. "Making me put in the leg work now. So to speak," he called, swooping down so he could chase after the quaffle and scoop it back up to throw in.
 
Gemma stretched her arms, worried she hadn't warmed up enough. She was doing alright but it wasn't going as well as she had hoped. She pulled her arm back and was ready to swing it at a bludger but missed completely.
 
With the quaffle back in play, Aramis tried not to let himself get too comfortable again. It wouldn't take much for him to lose ahold of his blocking streak, he'd already had a few close calls.
 
Again Gemma was left waiting for a bludger to show itself. This practice was going to drag on forever at this rate.
 
Édelie was still frustrated with missing yet again and eventually spun back around to continue playing the game.
 
Gemma spotted something zoom past the corner of her eye and she swung out before she had a good view if it. She managed to make contact with the bludger but the shot went wide and didn't come close to hitting anything.
 
Élise didn't see any more bludgers in close proximity and the one she found went way of course. She just went back to the team to see were the bludgers were.
 
"Time!"

Sophia calls out, signaling a T with her hands. The chasers weren't doing so well and it looks like they were short one player. Sophia looked over at Hugo, he won the team last game. If they can win again with Hugo as seeker then Sophia had to make the switch to help the team.

"Okay, I'll be substituting as a chaser. Hugo continue looking for the snitch. Okay? Back to the game!"
 
Hugo jumped a bit when Sophia called out, and he looked over to her. He nodded when she said she would be working as a chaser now, and that he should continue looking for the snitch. He didn't entirely get it, but was happy for less competition. That was when he noticed the snitch hovering nearby, and with a gasp he flew forward to grab it. He managed to grab the snitch and laughed, holding it up. "Like this?" He called to Sophia with a huge grin.
