Assassin sign ups are now closed! I will be PMing everyone their first target within the next hour or so.

The prize has now also been decided. This will be a goodybag that includes items from both Honeydukes & Gambol and Jape's!

Additionally, please could everyone have another read through the rules, as a few amendments have been made since they first went live. Tomorrow I will start (and link in this topic) a thread with Geo beginning the event. Please make sure your board clock is set correctly, as the game is focused around the timings of your replies!

Two points have been added to the main rules, just for clarification:
[ul][li]Activity towards your weekly assassin needs to always be in an attackable area. Therefore if anyone joins a topic after an attack has already taken place, you're welcome to roleplay however that does not count as your activity, because no one is able to attempt an assassination on you!</LI>
<LI>[li]Additionally, only one attack can be made during any topic. If someone has already made an attack, regardless of its success, no other attempts are allowed to be made in that topic. There is no upper limit to how many times you can attempt to assassinate your target(s), but these must all be in different topics.[/li][/ul]

Week One Update

Just a reminder that week one of Assassin will be coming to an end on Monday at 7pm (Although this is my time and may be different to you. The reset starts at the same time as this post was first posted. At this time, all targets will be reshuffled and redistributed as to keep the topics moving forward with new combinations of people and to minimise the chances of you targeting one of your own characters, and you will receive another PM with a new name. From this time, we will be in Week Two, and all current Week One targets will be invalid. If you try assassinate a week one target after Monday 7pm, it doesn't count.

On that note, currently no one has been eliminated! There have been some close calls but everyone has so far managed to dodge their attacks. If you've not yet posted any activity for Assassin week one (your status of which is listed here under the Full Table) please be reminded you are at risk of being eliminated for inactivity. Please make sure that you don't post any later than 12 hours before the weekly reset, to give your assassins the full 12 hours to make their move on you. If you've not been active by 7am on Monday, you will be removed from the game.

Lastly, I've had a few people ask me whether posting in the Halloween feast counts towards your activity - Yes, it does currently because everyone can access it in the same way. However as the feast is due to be closing on Wednesday 17th January, it will not count when Week Two begins from Monday.

Week Two Reset!

From now, Week Two for Assassin has begun! Those remaining in the game have now been PM'd with a new target. Your previous Week One target is no longer applicable, and you should focus only on your new target.

Additionally, all activity status' have been reset, and so you will need to make sure your character is active in the same way as last week, by 7pm on Sunday 21st, to avoid being eliminated due to inactivity. All topics are now reset. If you post in a topic that was begun in Week One, it will not count towards your Week Two activity. All activity for Week Two needs to have started after this post.

Rule Clarification:[ul]
[li] As only one attack is permitted per topic, if you only post once during the week and it is an "attacking" response, that does not count as your activity since you are then not attackable yourself. [/li][/ul]Two characters were eliminated this week due to their first post being an attack, with no additional activity elsewhere. Due to this, it meant their assassins were not able to target them (Since only one attack is permitted per topic) and they were therefore counted as inactive.

A good rule when posting is to consider whether your character is targetable. If not, they are not active.​

Week Two Update

Just a reminder that you have just over 24 hours left to get your inactive characters roleplaying! Anyone who hasn't started a new topic from Monday 15th January, nor jumped into a valid roleplay, will be eliminated. No chocolate for you!

Week Three Reset!

We lost 11 people to inactivity during week two, and the position of who will be first to make their first assassination is still open! This week the time limit has been lowered, meaning that all rules now use 10 hours instead of 12.

Those still in the game have been PM'd their next target, and can begin hunting them down from now. You have until 11pm GMT on Sunday 28th to avoid being eliminated due to inactivity, and the last assassination attempt cannot be posted any later than 9am GMT on Monday 29th to be valid.

Once again all topics and activity has been reset, and your valid topics need to have begun from this post. I shall be over here trying not to eat the prize, should you have any questions.

Week Five Reset!

Everything has been reset now for the remaining 5 characters left in play. Will this be the week we see either Daphne, Clara or Kaye be crowned champion? :r

All time limits have decreased once again, to 6 hours instead of 8. Therefore you have until 7am GMT on Monday 12th February to post for activity, and an assassination attempt must be made before 1pm on the 12th Feb to be valid.

Week Six Reset!

Apologies for the delay in starting this week, but Week Six is to start at 7pm GMT tonight. There are four players left, and the only thing that's certain is that it won't be a Hufflepuff that wins!

The time has now decreased to 4 hours instead of 6, therefore you have until 11pm on 20th Feb to post for activity, and an assassination attempt must be made before 3am on 21st Feb to be valid.
