The Gryffindor table in the Great Hall was the perfect place for a prank. No one would even know it was her, and there were plenty of witnesses to view the results. By some miracle, Ten's little brother had also made in into Gryffindor, which made things much more easily accessible for her. It was the older sisters duty, to make sure their younger sibling felt at home, which meant that if she could give him the love and attention of making people laugh then she was basically just doing him a favour. People would know who Felix was because he would stand out, he would be known as the funny one, and Ten was just pushing him along in the right direction. Ten didn't know many people herself because her own sister was practically a different generation, and she'd already graduated by the time Ten was four. There was just the added benefit too that when people saw what she did, they'd think she was funny too. It was a win win.

She didn't sit with the first years because that would have been weird, but Ten was a few seats down the bench, sat opposite her brother not too far away to miss when she tried to cast the spell. Breakfast was just beginning, which meant whatever Ten did now, Felix would have to cope with for the rest of the day, or try and find his own solution. Carefully taking her new wand out of her robes, and making sure no students were paying her any real attention, she pointed her wand at her little brother, "Densaugeo".

Felix, like usual, was minding his own business. He'd spent the last week on edge ever since he was sorting into Gryffindor, because he knew he wouldn't be able to escape the proximity of his sister. Every time he left his dorms, every time he went to class, to breakfast, to find one of his new friends, he was on edge that he was going to run into Ten. It was exhausting. He had half a mind to tell her to stop, that he didn't want to be the victim of her jokes anymore. Perhaps he would have been better of going to his aunt, although Ned could be just as troublesome if she wanted to be, and she loved Ten a lot more than she loved Felix. Growing up it was Wendall he'd been closest to, and how his cousin and his children were the most relaxing people to be around. The last few years have proven the happiest of his life when he got to spend more time with Wendall and Mary-Lou, helping his cousin with Montana whenever he could, knowing that Ten was far far away. But spending his holiday with the Layton's now seemed like such a distant memory.

The first year had been sat surrounded by others from his year after he'd told himself it would be unwise for him to sit by himself whenever his sister was in the vicinity. It was as though she never realised the effects of what she did to him, the way her jokes made him feel. How much would he take before she crossed a line she couldn't come back from? Ten had been chipping away at their relationship for years, even when they were small Felix had been on the end of her pranks. Without making eye contact, he knew Ten was sat a short distance away but perhaps the less he interacted with her, maybe soon she'd get the message. He thought his plan was working as he was about to delve into his bacon sandwich, when all of a sudden his teeth began to grow. Panic took over in an instant, not understanding what was happening as though he could feel his teeth shifting. A muffled cry escaped his lips as his front teeth continued to grow, seemingly never ending. He glanced up across the table and his heart dropped when he spotted Ten, cackling in laugher across the table.

Tori plopped down at the Gryffindor table having just met up with her brother. He'd managed to convince her to sit at her own table today but she was still adamant that she should be the one to come to his table next. He didn't seem willing to come and sit with her though, which was a bit of a shame because she would have liked to share breakfast with him today, especially since they only had to many breakfasts left. After all, he would be graduating this year and then she wouldn't probably see him for another seven at least! She was going to have to send him lots of letters because she just knew she was going to miss him. She would have to go and watch him play Quidditch because even though it didn't really interest her as a sport or a club to play in, she wanted to support her brother and that meant she would show up in some blue colours! She could probably pinch one of his ties or a jumper or something and then she would be able to wear it about her head or anywhere really.

She picked up one of the plates in front of her and was about to toss some boiled eggs into a bowl when she heard a strange noise from beside her. "Felix? Hey, what's going on, are you okay?" She asked the other first year, noticing his horror growing to the same size as his teeth. Oh no! Had he eaten something! Was he allergic? "Help, help! Felix is gonna die!" She called, trying to flag down a prefect or a professor or someone who might be able to help, because she had no idea what was happening and she didn't know what to do.

Ten practically had to wipe the tears from her eyes at the reaction of her brother and those surrounding the table. "Oh, oh nooo," she feigned her displeasure, the smile on her face giving her away almost as quickly as her tone. One of the other first years had started to panic too, and Ten sat back in her chair to admire her handiwork.

Felix was mortified, his cheeks turning to the same shade of red as his robes. He didn't even want to look up to meet the gaze of those around him, to check who was laughing at him. Instead, he focused on the bowl in front of him, his eyes glassing over as he heard someone shouting that he could die. Was it really going to be that serious? A light sob came from his chest before he could stop it, the humiliation only getting worse the more that people noticed. He knew who had done this, it didn't take him a million guesses to figure out his sister at the end of the table was behind it. She hadn't even come over to stop the spell from taking effect.

Jonah had just gone into the Great Hall when he heard yelling from the Gryffindor table about Felix dying. He didn't know how many Felix Gryffindor had, but Jonah had one, so he was definitely going to be checking it out. Which was timely because Felix looked awful, and that made the Hufflepuff mad, but Felix came first. "Who's doing this?!" he yelled rather angrily because teeth don't just grow. And it annoyed him that a lot of other students, older students, were not doing anything to help his friend. He quickly took off his Hufflepuff robe because Felix looked like he wanted to cry because people were just looking and not moving. He quickly covered his Gryffindor friend so he could at least hide while Jonah was looking frantically at the Staff table because where was his dad, and where was that mean Gryffindor HoH, or the Headmaster when you needed them? He was going to deal with whoever did this later but for now, they had to get Felix back to normal. "You have to get up so we can run to the Hospital Wing," he said thinking if he could just carry his friend, likely not, but if he had to he will.

Evan had been floating in the corner of the Great Hall where most of the students were at this time. Since he'd been aware that the school was in session again, he'd tried to stay more aware of the Common Room and where a lot of the students were. Which is how he heard that someone was dying. Now that won't do. He quickly floated to the yelling students, passing through a few others. "Do calm down dears," he said as he caught sight of the growing teeth. A simple thing. He pulled out his wand from his robes. Ah of course. He did not have one anymore. "Oh dear," he said. No matter. "You need only Finite the spell dearies and he'll be right as rain. Go on, wave your wand."

"No! Wands don't need waves!" Until this moment, the invisible non being had been sitting half way through the table, watching the chaos unfold. Wherever maliciousness and malcontent would bloom, so too would the poltergeist. He quickly appeared, slime and crown on bold display - "Don't interrupt them!" The Hufflepuff house ghost was going to ruin his fun! He just knew it! As far as he was concerned, nothing was going wrong, and all that was happening was someone trying to ruin his fun.

As Jonah came over to his side, Felix was both glad and feeling more ashamed than ever. Glad that he had someone looking out for him, but knowing that his new friend was seeing him like this was embarrassing. He asked who'd caused it, and Felix couldn't bring himself to point at his sister in front of the crowd. He may have known it was her, but he didn't want everyone turning against her in the hall, either. He had looked up for long enough to see her cacking with laughter, wiping the tears from her eyes, and he knew that even if it hadn't been her she was enjoying watching this happen to him.

Felix was grateful Jonah made an attempt to cover him, although now it was probably more obvious that something was wrong at the table while he was hiding under the Hufflepuff robe. Other students from other tables would be notified no doubt. Felix quickly got up and out of his seat with the intention of heading to the Hospital Wing, keen to be out of her as fast as he could, when he heard the voice of someone he didn't recognise. Perhaps it was a professor who had seen the issue unfold and now gave advice. Felix couldn't well put a spell on himself, so he peered through the cloak at Jonah, ignoring the other little voice that tried to make matters worse, "Dho et," he mumbled quietly to Jonah, hoping his friend would end the hex.

Jonah had been surprised when two ghosts? He knows one of them is a ghost but he's not quite sure what the other one was. But one of them was helping and that was all that mattered. Though Jonah probably should've questioned if he really should be attempting what the ghost was instructing him to do. Before he could think too much on it though, Felix told him to do it. Jonah was not going to go back on his friend, and so he pulled out his wand and pointed it at the robe-covered boy. "Finite," he said rather shakily, his wand movements a sad attempt in comparison to what the ghost was doing. "Did that work?" Maybe he should try again for good measure. "Finite!"

Tori watched on in abstract horror as Felix and another boy she didn't know were trying to cancel out the spell. "Be careful, you could poke someone's eye out!" she said, trying to stop Jonah from just waving his wand around. Who even knew if this was the correct way of doing anything anyway? She didn't know this spell, so she doubted that the Hufflepuff boy should know this spell either. She was interested in whether or not the house ghost was correct, but she also knew that it was probably a spell way beyond them since she hadn't heard of it in their charms books yet. Or maybe it wasn't a charm? "We should take him to the hospital wing! Don't wave your wand around like that!" He was going to blow them up she just knew it!

First year or not, he trusted Jonah to use the spell on him to make the hex stop. The ghost wouldn't have suggested it if they couldn't do it, right? He waited patiently as Jonah cast it, although nothing seemed to be happening. All Felix could do was shake his head, it wasn't doing anything to help at all! After a moment of trying, Tori had joined them too, making everything worse by telling them they shouldn't be trying, that they were going to hurt someone. He was already hurting. His pride had taken another battering, but beyond going to the hospital wing he didn't know what else they had left. Maybe the ghost had just wanted to see the situation become even worse. Without looking in Ten's direction, Felix nodded, moving past the students towards the entrance hall door, not sure if the others were joining him but not waiting in the room to find out. The more people that started looking at him, the more embarrassed he was growing.

Evan hushed at the poltergeist while he observed the three children. It seems that one of them was willing to try it and so Evan made the wand movements but the child was not following him. "No no no," he said. "You have to move your wrist like so and say the incantation clearly," he coached but the other child was intent on ignoring him. Did they not want him to help their friend?
